I only know those exists as I had a look over the manual yesterday :) As JetCat mentioned earlier I definitely like the sophisticated modelling of things like the Garmin radios, looking forward to getting a chance to fly this when I finish work Now just need to persuade JF to add the open source KLN90 as a GPS option :)

Both Nvidia and AMD no longer make drivers for W7 .8. 8.1. They stopped some time ago you may get an old driver on the Nvidia web site, but you may have a problem in the sim as developers use the latest software and drivers. That`s why a reply to a problem from them, are you using the latest drivers and updates. Windows 10 will get the same in the future,

Historical weather planned for MSFS 2024
abrams_tank replied to abrams_tank's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Probably storage for all that data. For example, do they have to store MeteoBlue data every minute, for every location around the world? Then you add in the METAR data they have to store. Since you are storing for the entire world for 24 hours for every minute, that's a lot of data. If they decrease the frequecy of storing from 1 minute to 10 seconds, that increases the data six fold. If they store for 180 days, thst increases the data by a factor of 180. I don't know the frequency that the MeteoBlue data runs, but I can imagine if you to store that dsta for the most discrete location that data covers, for the entire world, that could be a lot of storage space. Then there may be restrictions from MeteoBlue on how long their data can be stored. -

Because I am talking about 2020 and all of the previous (nearly) 4 years. I accept the team may have grown since. However, like you, I am looking forward to MSFS2024, to which I am sure, most people are now working on. -
im sure theres not 100s of people working on su15.

Regarding 2024 I just wanted to be able to read somewhere that Petrovich talent in flight dynamics for flight simulation is going to be the reason for deep changes to MSFS Fdm... That would turn me into a true believer... -
I'm picturing a weather engine that would for example take extensive data from just a few select locations, i.e. Buenos Aires, Cape Town, and Melbourne in the Southern Hemisphere, and say San Francisco, London, and Tokyo in the Northern Hemisphere, just as an example, interpolate for everywhere else, plus add a random element to it, and go back as far as 1903 (Wright Flyer). I'd use such a feature when flying historical planes, say somewhere in the 1950's for the DC6 or 60's-70's in the DC8. 100% accuracy wouldn't be the key, but rather plausibility. It'd probably just be a tiny nook within an already very small niche, but if you can imagine it, it just might be possible.

Has this problem started suddenly or been happening for a while? I'd start by lowering your settings. Have a read of this topic. https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/634984-prepar3d-ntdll-crash/ Don't run Delete Generated Files. That's the nuclear option.

After testing quite a bit with AFS active and passive mode, I came to the conclusion, that for my needs I prefer the passive depiction (= keeping MSFS Live weather). I made a video that shows the differences, so here is what you have to overlook if you prefer ASFS in active mode: I have to admit that I don't like the uniform weather representation by ASFS. Seeing 50 miles ahead, that your route will lead into bad weather is something I don't want to miss. And, ... btw. is not true that MSFS Live weather is only showing one cloud type. Cloud variation looks even better to me. Also I did not look out for special conditions that make ASFS look worse or bad. I just did a flight, encountered a bad weather cell (actually several in a row after the first one) and went back after landing to record a video of both modes, so everybody can see what I am talking about.

OK. Well as long as you are happy with the output (particularly bug fixing and sim updates) from all those people, who am I to argue? I bow to your superior knowledge on these matters. -

It does look like one of those terrible AI-generated images!😄 Absolutely. The Boeing Clipper may get all the glamour love but the Sunderland is by far my favourite of the two. - Today

I'm happy to tell that indeed I was able to do that! Many Bothans had to die in order for that to happen though...
