  1. Past hour
  2. It's lost on a phantom screen due to how Windows is interpreting screen positions. Here's how to get it back: 1) After clicking the Stby Com Freq, Hover over the P2A icon on the Taskbar. There should be multiple windows and one is the Radio Freq window 2) Hover over that window and a larger thumbnail of the window should show 3) Right-click that larger thumbnail 4) Select Move 5) Hold down the Right Arrow key on the keyboard until the program comes into view 6) If that doesn’t work, hold down the left arrow 7) Once the window is in view, use the mouse to move it to the desired location. 😎 Shut down Pilot2ATC so the location will be remembered. Dave
  3. That's me--if FS24 flops for weather I'll reconsider but for now I'm happy to wait and see what is developed. MS/A has the distinct advantage of knowing what their greatly enhanced multithreading can do for clouds and weather, and once again to port out everything above the ground in effect to a 3rd party doesn't bode well to me-it's far too big of a domain to do that with. And conveying to MS/A that another source will take care of this is the really bad part IMO. This might seem over the top but it is a reality: what if...something happens to HiFi. Stuff happens all the time and I want everything above ground to be contained within the sim.
  4. I own the feelthere KTUS scenery, and it's great. But I also purchased there LAX and LAS packages and all they done was modify the default MSFS scenery. That's why I was glad to get replacement packages when other developers made those sceneries. So why would you buy from Feelthere that just modify MS default airports or get from developer that just makes airports and is very good at it.
  5. Hi, I just moved to a new computer with Windows 11, re-installed XP12 and Pilot2ATC (v.2.7.0.1), but when I need to adjust the volume, the radio com pop-up window with the controls, does not show. First time I hit the standby frequency, I see a short "blink" in the usual position, where I would normally see the pop-up window, but it disappears again in less than a second, and then nothing more happens. The similar function for Nav frequencies works ok, where the window pops up when I hit the standby frequency.. Is this a known problem?
  6. I have no problem with anyone ranting and raving or venting about a product they dislike on YouTube. Gotta make a living right? Plus drama sells sadly. Calling out a small developer by NAME though crosses the line for me. That's a personal attack not a review at all.
  7. Did you get special permission to enter that airspace?
  8. I was thinking the same, and was just about to post it (About the personal thing he must have against the developer).
  9. I think FSHud is really the leader at the moment in terms of ATC. With these new AI handlers not able to control air traffic (isn't that the whole point?) on release. I don't think performance is great, but I am only on a gaming laptop. I manage fairly well at 45FPS with 15 at the gates and 15 active in terms of traffic. For now I ignore the vectoring and just follow my assigned STAR.
  10. I'm referring to the YouTube video creator. I don't think it's you, but I could be wrong? Either way, I'm specifically referring to the vitriol that he writes in his description of his video.
  11. Here is my guess, if you don;t like what AS does both in P3D and MSFS 2020, you will be on the forum when MS 2024 is released, complaining about the weather again. I have a question for you, how much flying have you done in ASFS since it has been released?
  12. Can you place your point of view more consisely so that I can try to understand how you can classify their work as "mediocre" ? It's probably the first time I see AS P3D being classified that way 🥴
  13. I don't who are you talking about, but in the past I bought several P3D AS versions, I found that HiFi was very supportive, but their work was mediocre from my point of view. I found the new AS for FS20 improved, but it reflects the same mediocrity of the P3D times, waiting for improvements, but waiting for FS24 above all.
  14. Ironically in the link I posted RIGHT BEFORE the video post my screenshots show ASFS to be MORE dramatic and I was asking if that was realistic or not. Maybe the reason there are not more 'good' video reviews of ASFS right now is that those of us who have it configured well are too busy enjoying it to be bothered to persuade others we are 'right'. Please note obviously I'm joking about being right.....'content' is the more accurate word.
  15. AS is using the same cloud "textures" as what is provided by MSFS but its how the clouds are generated and depicted that is what is different. I agree that perhaps the AS depicton is perhaps a little too flat at times, but its not unrealsitic to see these type of clouds, whereas MSFS weather seems to go to the other side of the spectrum and gives a lot of puffy, fluffy clouds, which are probably more visually spectacular but not necessarily realistic in all situations. There have been many critisicms of MSFS weather but its funny how now all of a sudden its the best thing ever....AS has just been released so it will only improve i'm sure
  16. Bob, in English you use the word "agenda"... Of the examples of people complaining about MSFS, I've found a good deal of what I interpret as "agenda-based" complaints, some other based on poor knowledge of how to properly set / use ASFS and / or Meteorology, and OFC there are also complaints which are well-founded and I am sure will only contribute to make ASFS grow better with future updates and the unique support I have long learned to expect from HiFi Simulations. It is very difficult for a product like ASFS to get it's work done when the base platform offers very few hooks... and yet Damian has, once again and against all odds, been able to do what is already done by ASFS.
  17. You can’t search by country, you’ll just have to use keywords I think there is a column that says if something is GA or corporate. Not at my PC right now so I can’t check
  18. I'm glad to see this post as I was about to post something similar. Yes the flight model feels heavier than I would expect for an aircraft of that size (but I'm just a sim pilot, what do I know?), and and there is a noted issue where there is a bit too much slip, but that doesn't mean this addon is really poor or not worth picking up IMHO. It's a well modelled, interesting aircraft to fly and overall quite enjoyable for me. The sounds are great. I have enough aircraft that anything that I don't much care for collects dust in the back of my virtual hangar and that is not the case with this one.
  19. Why does everyone (who has no clue about developing a simulated aircraft) think everything is a copy and paste just because the types are remotely similar.
  20. I personally do not have a slightest problem flying PC-12 after patch. I mostly fly instruments so I do not do steep turns, lazy eights, deep spirals and etc LOL So I can't comment on that aircraft behavior. I do not have any yaw problem anymore during approach to landing or take off I use yaw dumper most of the time and disconnect it right after desired approach speed is being established. I love SWS PC-12 feel of control heaviness. And I'm pretty sure those who flew aircraft other than light GA IRL would agree with me! I used o fly Money with "positive control" system where you can't go pass 15-30 degrees of bank without pressing and hold disconnect button. That was awkward as hell especially when you have to do VFR maneuvers! Because of that controls very super stiff - nothing like PA28R ! But nothing like to have awkwardly heavy controls and experience inflight fire in the same airplane later on. It was story to tell LOL How about Mooney with Johnston bar (a manual gear retraction system)? You little late to party after to bring gear up (right after the take off) and good luck fighting airflow while retracting gear LOL It was very physically demanding passed certain airspeed. I had an occasion when I had to slow down airplane in climb just to bring gear up. Not a good thing to do single pilot IFR in IMC! So the bottom line, to me pitch, power, trim this all you need to know about flying PC-12. Small deflection, standard rate of turn and everything smooth like butter. Works for me like charm.
  21. This sort of videos makes me think that either this users don't understand weather at all or have an "agenda"... When someone records a video trying to make comparisons between what is injected by different sources, including default Real World Weather in MSFS 2020, it is important to add to the video description important informations such as METAR valid at the time / aifield / station / area replicated in sim... Guys like the author of that youtube are clearly concerned not with understanding what should be depicted but, if not based on other objectives, simply assuming that what is being depicted in MSFS 2020 is correct / expected - even in the case in that video where those reach and varied cloud graphics that always surprise me with their diversity, are present in the default weather side of the "show"... Strangely Cumulus, very rare, I believe a first time in the hsitory of MSFS weather redering !!! OMG 😕 And yet there are unfortunately users who will see this as a good "review"...
  22. Hello, I have a copy of the FTSim sound pack for the base Maddog MD-82 that I downloaded some time ago. This was prior to the release of the MD-83/-88 expansion so it doesn't work on these models out of the box, though with some file manipulation is can be made to do so. My question for any current FTSim subscribers, has there been an update to the MD-82 soundpack to work with the expansion models more directly/without editing? I'll happily subscribe if so for the sake of ease, but I can't tell looking at their site. Thanks for any help.
  23. What is strange is that Damian was one of the most respected developers for years and years. Now he comes out with an app in MSFS, and he seems to get hate from every direction. I don't get it.
  24. Likewise. Thanks for bringing it up. I too am hopeful that it will be a silent bug fix in SU15.
  25. This isn't an easy post to write even though I am excited about being able to share some good news with you. It is actually really intimidating to publicly post things when you have faced public criticism and abuse after messing up as badly as I did with Fulcrum. Initially I just wanted to hide away from everything. As most people who are reading this section of the forum know, Fulcrum Simulator Controls ran into difficulty and ceased trading. They should also know that all customers at that time were written to explaining the situation. In that email I went through some of the reasons why the company went down and left us all out of work and left some customers with outstanding orders. One of the complaints I have seen here is that I am a crook and ran the company into the ground knowing it was going down. This is simply not true. At the time that orders were being taken, we were expecting a start up company assistance loan from the Government to help with costs etc that we had faced and to allow us to jump to higher production throughput. At the time this was applied for things were going well. 6 months later we were still waiting for this. I did close new orders and issued some refunds that were placed at the end. I did not take peoples money and run. However, I know that many people were angry and felt cheated or scammed. During all this there were things outside of the company to deal with and that were of a personal nature and made life very difficult, including facing the criticism here. No excuses for that but sometimes life is what it is and things don’t always go as you wanted. Now, as stated in the email to customers, I aim to stand by outstanding orders, even though Fulcrum was a limited company, and I could walk away from it. It would not be right to do anything else as I am a longstanding member of the flight sim community and not just a faceless company in China. I also don’t want to walk away because I believe in my designs, my principles in delivering what I promised and the tens of thousands of pounds of my own money I started the company with. That investment in product design, development and knowledge allows me to start production and deliver the same quality and future products. The way this will work is this. I am currently working another job to pay my wages. I will not be taking wagers from Fulcrum until it is built back up. Throttles are being produced first. This is because there are some parts already available to me. Orders have been placed for the remaining parts. Over the coming weeks throttles will be assembled and once ready, customers who ordered a throttle and were not able to claim a refund will have their orders fulfilled and remaining throttles will be available for purchase via the website. This is not an ideal approach and involves even more long waits. I understand the frustration in that but there is no alternative. I do not have a large cash pool I can issue refunds from, All I have is the ability to work and build up what is needed to start producing again. Also there will no longer be any pre-orders. Orders will only be taken when stock is on the shelf ready to go. If we are out of stock then it will show out of stock. Any other way just leads to too much risk. I am sure lots of companies thought otherwise until it all goes wrong! For clarity, all profits from sales will be going back into buying more parts to produce more products. This means that customers who lost out will get their order eventually and there will be off the shelf Fulcrum products for new customers. I will not be taking a wage from Fulcrum until this point is reached and everything owed is repaid. I hope this shows that I am trying to do the right thing and Fulcrum will be run in a customer focused way. There will be changes to the forum to clean up a lot of ‘where are you?’ threads. User to user support threads may get edited and moved around to make it less of a mess. I will not be deleting any threads – even those that make me feel bad. I will move them into an archive folder, but I do not wish to delete history. Thanks again for the hundreds of messages and emails of support, it is quite honestly staggering to me. Chris
