    What a Premier!

"I usually add one payware title a month..."...That would require permission from the higher authorities...depending on cost....๐Ÿ™‚....but, seriously, glad you're enjoying both the SIMs, along with some perspective from real flight...that many of us here (me included) don't have... Beautiful plane here (could pass for a Citation) and also beautiful pictures...and, the plane's interior exudes plush and luxury, from what I can tell...!
  3. I have been aware of your Vega for some time and (in my best Trump voice), I think you are doing a fantastic job. I will also say that I too have become a big fan of the windshield / rain effects over the past year. Now, I'm spoiled by it beyond corruption. I almost expect to see those effects. Also, when I first saw the Vega a while back, I said, "I'm going to buy that" -- I have just never gotten around to it! That's about to change. Suffice it to say I love vintage aviation, and we need more add-ons like this in the sim. Sometimes I buy add-ons just to support the development, but I may be in the minority there, too. We are a niche of a niche community, no doubt.

Nothing in there says itโ€™ll be released in a week or so.

    CTD With Orbx scenery/Prepar3d 4.5

Ok I follow. So is there a way to check to see if this is the case? I also came up with a thought could the EU England be conflicting with TE GB South since things being displayed in the south of the UK would be duplicated? Jason
  6. I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you talking about tracking exposed to direct sunlight?
  7. The YS-11 by NAMC (Nihon Aeroplane Manufacturing Company) was a 1960s turboprop (60-seater) aircraft that was the only true Japanese entry into commercial aviation. It was built by a joint venture of five (or so) companies that included: (Mitsubishi, Kawasaki, Fuji) heavy industries. BTW, all these three companies have played a role, more recently, in the production of B787. One of the primary designers of YS-11 was Jiro Horikoshi, who was responsible for the famous WW II fighter, A6M Zero. The YS-11 can be said to consist of, "U.S. Parts + British Engines + Japanese Assembly" e.g. the aluminum was from ALCOA, the landing gear from Goodyear, and of course the Rolls-Royce engines were British. It was a highly capable (and well-liked) aircraft, known for its superior performance (and capacity) in hot and high (short-runway) conditions of the time. It even broke through to the U.S. market for Piedmont Airlines. โ€œWe searched the world over for a plane which would operate safely in and out of small, mountainous airports,โ€ had said, president of the company. โ€œThe YS-11 was the only one we could find which would do it on an economical basis.โ€ Piedmont officials had said the YS-11 had the best power weight ratio โ€” it could lift more weight out of the (Appalachian) mountain airports than any American (Convair was one of the primary competitors) or other plane they could find. YS-11's advantage came because of the state-of-the-art Rolls-Royce Turboprop (Dart) engines - the same ones that had powered the Vickers Viscount. However, there was just one place where the Japanese engineers miscalculated; their error, which they fixed soon, was anatomical rather than mechanical: the first planes had seats (built to Japanese standards) were too narrow (and too hard) for American consumers... The livery, I've selected to fly here, is for SWAL (Southwest Air Lines - not to be confused with the U.S. (low-cost) carrier Southwest Airlines). This Southwest Air Lines had operated domestic services, in Japan, since 1967. It changed its name to JTA (Japan Transocean Air) in July 1993, is now majority-owned by JAL (Japan Airlines), and no longer flies any YS-11. For scenery, I've fallen back to one of my least-used (Orbx) add-ons, the Wales, for a dusk flight, north to south on the western part of the country, mostly across rolling hills, from Warton Aerodrome (EGNO) to Cardiff Airport (EGFF). One interesting observation: On approach to Cardiff, in one of the shots, you can locate the (coal-powered) Aberthaw Power Station, a prominent landmark on the South Wales coast (initially I thought it was a Nuclear Power Station). Thanks for viewing these images of this (SIM) plane, may not be high-fidelity, but certainly unique in its own right. [Aerosim(YS-11)/Orbx(Wales)/REX]

    Flysimware next project 2019

Instant purchase from me if it's a 414. I really hope we have the option to add/remove winglets and the option to use the G500/600 units from Flight1. ๐Ÿ™‚ Can't wait to see what Mr. Bacon will do to the textures too. FSW is going to be the industry leader very soon.
  12. Can anyone help us figure out what this is ?
  13. Not sure if a cargo MD-11 does Louisville to Tokyo Narita in one hop, but this is the sim, and the specs say she has the range...
  14. Hi Nico, I'd like to ask a quick opinion. I'm currently using FSX and my PC is in the middle range performances. While it's pretty much fluid especially shortly before touchdowns slightly reduces my performance. I currently use autopilot on for your program, and 20 updates per second. Is there any other feature I can set in order to save a bit? Best
  15. As mentioned, I already did. KMSP isn't under my AEC, most likely due to being installed via the add-on method instead of the old scenery.cfg method. No but I can comfortably confirm it's due to Vector, just need to find the Vector files to disable it. No, figured this was a Vector issue, so OrbX's forum would be more relevant. Just asked here as well, in case someone had a quick-fix solution, which files to disable. Good suggestion. Couldn't see anything related to elevation / mesh / compatibility though. Yeah, first thing I tried, only relevant file that came up in the search. Didn't seem to do the trick, unfortunately. Some other Vector files are at work here.
  16. To be announced at Computex 2019. In the same article is a history of the MSI Lightening series of video cards, all the way back to the beginning, 2009. See the article here. A good Memorial Day to all! P.
  17. Central America 4: Nicaragua to Panama Managua, Nicaragua (MNMG) to Santiago, Panama (MPSA), 498 nautical miles. Stopping at a few airports along the way, with mountains, volcanoes and a few coastal resorts thrown in. Better write-up to follow tomorrow. Flightplans PLN format GFP format - should be straightforward, no faffing needed. Aircraft Same as the previous flights, we're looking for something quite fast to cover the distances. 300kts cruise ideal, 250kts minimum is my suggestion. Private jets, fast turboprops, subsonic military jets, warbirds, all good choices. I did my test flying in the BAe Hawk, which was quite fun. But there's a 2300ft runway on the route.... (at least it's at sea level!). Scenery Orbx FTX Global textures + FTX NA landclass are a good combination, especially with an addon mesh for the mountains. Some additional freeware enhancements will follow tomorrow when I've finished testing them all. Particulars Date and time: Saturday, 25th May, 2019, 1800 UTC. Where: AVSIM RTWR Teamspeak - Casual Flights Channel Teamspeak Server Address: ts.teamavsim.com Cross-Platform Multiplayer: JoinFS. (FSX, FSX-SE, and P3D). If you want to help others enjoy the multiplayer experience, don't forget to enter your aircraft details on the multiplayer spreadsheet (linked here). Your courtesy will save others a lot of time and effort. Thanks! ๏ปฟ

    CTD With Orbx scenery/Prepar3d 4.5

Scenary can contain static or dynamic AI objects of all sorts, for example Boats, Airplanes, Animals, etc. Any of these types of objects compiled with FS9 SDK can cause CTD with 4.5.12. Regards Simbol

Without orbx scenery, and just the default Prepar3d scenery installed, no CTD when changing settings in scenery objects.

    Environment Force Discussion Thread

It is a good question and I didn't explain. It depends on whether your monitor/headset is calibrated or not. Mine isn't and can't be so I had to tweak saturation levels. I do think that saturation is a bit subjective anyway though.

    CTD With Orbx scenery/Prepar3d 4.5

Not sure I get what you are saying. Are you saying can be used in FS9? I only ask and pardon my ignorance as I am new to P3D but am experiencing real FPS issues with TE GB South being completely unusable because of the FPS loss. Was lucky to land the VA flight I was on at the time considering the FPS was between 5-9 on landing. Was expecting a CTD but it didn't happen thankfully.
