  2. I don't know. Nothing in the upgraded version appeals to me so I have never kept my eye on upgrade price sales. I mostly use it when my flight session is short, or I am readjusting to an aircraft. It takes about 5 min or so for each setup. Usually I get the aircraft into the Ready state via the EFB, and setup the approach. Once it's loaded I double-check the ILS info was input correctly. I don't usually reset the sim between approaches at the same airport. So, after I land I tell FSI to reset it up and a little over 5 min I am back in the air.
  3. 🤣 Although I'm sure it'll get much better in no time, it's Inibuilds afterall. Love their A300.
  4. After some tweaking of control curves it feels pretty good, Id go as far as to say closer to my light taildragger experience than the savage Cub I use in MSFS. Only thing I think is slightly overdone is the gyroscopic swing when lifting the tail, but all in all its a good un. I may have to wait a month or so to get it (is euro 79 the going rate?)
  5. Actually this is strange and I am struggling to understand the rationale of what happens: at upscaled resolutions the 1/2 refresh rate Vsync doesn’ t work, that is even if I select it in Nvidia Insoector I only have the full vsync active which caps the FPS to the 60 native monitor resolution… but if I lower the monitor refresh rate to 30 then the 1/2 refresh rate kicks in and caps the frame at 30…have no idea why this happens.. in both cases I have Frame Generation ON, and it works, not doubling the frames of course, but giving that extra boost which allows me to keep 30 Frames… with FG OFF the performance decay is noticeable.. one curious thing happened today: at Inibuilds EGLL, departing from Terminal 5 with all the T5 stands busy with Vatsim traffic (FSTL aircraft), with DLDSR @1.75 and DLSS quality, normal Vsync (not 1/2 rr), I had stable 55-57 fps at all time from flight preparation, to push back, taxi and take off, with almost no stutter whatsover.. the only difference vs previous flights was that I didn’ t use GSX…. Didn’ t have the time for another test, but that’s an interesting clue… more to come with further tests.. cheers ezio
  6. Do they offer sale for the upgrade either? When I set up a approach with the FSI and want to do the same approach e.g. five time does it always take long until it set everything up or is it faster when done once?
  7. Fair enough, but what would happen (and what they said) is that they would focus exclusively on the AI traffic and then release it. It would be just as polished or unpolished. In other words: It would be released after "Traffic injection 1.0" and before Core ATC v1.5. So there's no further "polish" to be gained by waiting longer, since they wouldn't really work on that before finishing AI traffic. I mean we all have to manage our expectations: It will take YEARS before it's in a good enough shape to reliably control the human aircraft in every situation like P2ATC does. Even longer for AI traffic to be polished. ATC is so complicated and complex, no ATC tool has yet managed to release in a really good state and neither will BATC.
  8. When it was released it instigated a huge thread on this forum. I got the distinct impression the majority of user complained of Ghosting, serious artifacts with high speed motion like landing gear and sever stutters when panning. Reading the thread I came to the conclusion that the few saying its 'Amazing' really wouldn't know smooth game play if they saw it and were just obsessed with seeing their frame counter at 60 instead of 30. WOW! But maybe you are one of the lucky ones who, if they really exist, got smoother game play at 60fps with dlssg-to-fsr3 than they did at 30fps without it. I've been a Flight Sim enthusiast for long enough to know that many participant don't understand that extra FPS is only good when it does not come at the expense of smoothness.
  9. I use the standard and haven't like upgrading. The good news is, if you do decide to upgrade later, you just need to pay the difference.
  10. If you’re sensitive to the quality of the menu displays then FG is undoubtedly going to be a problem. However, for many of us who don’t have 40 series cards the FG mod - combined with the LoD mod - has been a godsend. Apart from menus, the only artifacts I’m aware of are some funky action going on through the side window - out of the corner of my eye - during initial touchdown. I’m too focused on the actual landing for this to be a distraction though. I use TrackIr; no ghosting, no tearing…..
  11. Hello, so I used to have ReShade installed in MSFS (Steam Version) with no issues, but had uninstalled it at some point. Today I decided I wanted to install it again, but for some reason no matter what I do, nothing happens when I try and open the ReShade menu in the game. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program several times, as well as changing the button used to open the menu in the ini file, but no matter what I do it won't work. In the main folder for the game, I have the reshade-shaders folder along with 3 files.Any ideas on what I can do to get it working? Thanks
  12. I use FStarter for approaches. Easy to use and cheap at simmarket.com
  13. I pushed back a lot of E175's and E190's in real life. This can't be any buggier than they were.😁
  14. Interesting. I wonder if they connect the other maps at some point?
  15. My bad I watch the movie when in the beginning when the crew where trying to seal the door and made false assumption’s The Actors in the movie did a very believable job I liked much better than Oppenheimer!

  17. I have been unable to get into FSX-SE through steam or directly with FSX-SE. It had been working fine since firt installed in win11. Recently its a no go. Some how I show the Beta edition now and not sure how I got that unless out of frustration I clicked on it. Either way the previous version was not starting up. I would get the sunrise start picture but then it would disappear and no program. Multiple attempts. I did see that my fsx-se looked short of items when i checked that. I thought it re-loads on every startup??? If this could be an issue does anyone have and ideas on how to correct it? How would I get rid of the Beta version if that is a problem. Thanks for any info. 18. Well - simply don't have the menus open all the time, as I do. Apart from the menus the dlssg-to-fsr3 mod is nearly completely free of artifacts, and no stutter at all. FG in FS2020 works extremely well on most systems, mine for example - at least as long as there's enough VRAM available.
  19. I love the COWS DA-42. (It's incomparable to the old DA62X mod BTW - as good as that was when it released 3.5 years ago). It's the perfect 160-170kts G1000 platform. Yes, operation is extremely simple. But don't let that fool you. There is much depth involved in that simplicity for the pilot. The ECU Test functions are a good example of this. When I want to focus on my navigation, or a specific RNAV approach, or even G1000 NXi visually-guided approaches, the COWS is my go to. When I want vintage and analogue complexity, I'll likely go to the Dukes. (Until they're released, I go to the C414 or C310). Saying the COWS DA-42 is boring because it's operation is highly simplified, is like saying the A320 is boring, because it's not a BAe 146. And how boring must the Hondajet be? I don't understand any notion of "the COWS will be boring now, because the Duke will have so much to manage". They're just different. They'll both provide the highest fidelity in their own arenas of flight simulation. All of the above comments of mine do respect opinions and the "whatever floats your boat" factor. You are most certainly permitted to find the DA-42 boring.😊 But I personally don't think it's right, nor authentic that the COWS DA-42 is getting a bit of a bashing in this thread, because it's simple to operate. COWS are a fantastic new developer on the scene - I personally want to support and encourage them, especially as they're now working on a (not quite so simple to manage) DA-40NG XLS, with a standard IO360, where props and mixture are not automated like they are in the TDIs. Some people here are easily influenced, so please; don't write off the COWS DA-42, because the excited crowd here (which includes myself) are now labelling it boring, because it's not a Duke.
  20. So judging from the list of fixes for this beta update, it was probably the iniBuilds A320 that delayed the release of SU 15. I don't see any of the other non-iniBuilds A320 fixes as really game breaking to the point where SU 15 should be delayed, but its apparent in the list that most of the fixes are for the iniBuilds A320. Anyways, I don't mind them delaying SU 15, but at least we know from these list of fixes, that is was very likely the iniBuilds A320 is delaying the release of SU 15. As for the core MSFS engine, it seems to be running pretty well from the reports of the SU15 beta, so if it weren't for the iniBuilds A320, I think SU15 would have been released by now.
  21. It feels a little weird having this conversation mostly with myself but I see a fair number of people viewing so I'll continue. I have discovered that if my flight plan starts and ends at the same airport, P2A gets real confused. That seems to be the crux of the problem. When I was using the flight plan KRDU->WENDI->ILS05R.BEICH->KRDU, the controller never cleared me for the approach. I never even got the "Expect Approach" and when I decided to execute the approach anyway, the controller had no idea what I was doing. I then tried this from a nearby airport and EVERYTHING worked PERFECTLY: KGSO->LIB->ILS05R.BEICH->KRDU. I got the "Full Procedure" (aka "Own Navigation"/"Pilot Navigation") that I was expecting and was able to fly the entire route using the autopilot and VNAV and the controller knew exactly what I was doing. Cool! So, bottom line is: If you want to try and replicate shooting approaches you and a buddy might do IRL at your home airport where you just go out, circle around some convenient waypoint and ask the tower to clear you for a "full approach" (no flight plan, etc), the best way is to create a simple flight plan from a nearby airport (so your departure/arrival airports are different), this works fine. So, if Dave thinks this may be a "bug" that should get fixed, that would be great. Otherwise, this is a resonable workaround. Thanks -mark
  22. I don't know how anyone can say that. Although the dlssg-to-fsr3 mod (I assume that is what you are talking about here) does deliver the extra frames its a stutter and ghosting of menus mess. 30fps without it is far far superior to 60fps with it. At least for anyone who knows what they are doing! I thinkered with it for about a month up to and including the current version and it simply doesn't work in MSFS. It may work very well indeed in other titles. I don't know. But even the developer acknowledged that it has problems in MSFS.
  23. Great shots and livery buddy! 😉
  24. I'm running it with your settings, except with the AUTO FPS turned on. Overall I get better FPS this way than setting the target frame rate. Everything is perfect! Thanks again! BTW - My System is Ryzen 5 5600G, RTX3060, and 16GB RAM. Usually holds around 40/45 with most settings on ULTRA.
