    Thanks, Dave Yes, I understand - and I'm back to square one. Based on it working earlier, I tried it again, to give me a confidence boost, exactly replicating the previous sequence. And, you guessed it, won't connect again. I've shut down, rebooted numerous times, connected with ethernet directly to the router, etc, etc and it just gives the same error Very frustrating and yet another evening completely wasted. I'll try again tomorrow and if it's the same, abandon it until the next full release of MSFS goes live - though goodness knows what that will bring. It's because the package is so good when it's all working that it makes is so frustrating when it isn't.

    I have the live weather preset checked in AS, but when I start FS live weather is still active inside sim. What am I doing wrong?

    P38's On Top Of The World (Pakistan) Pakistan, situated in the southern part of Asia, shares its borders with several countries and bodies of water. To the east, it adjoins India, while to the west, it borders Iran and Afghanistan. China forms its northeastern frontier, and in the south, Pakistan has a coastline along the Arabian Sea. Pakistan encompasses an area of approximately 881,913 km2 (340,509 mi2), making it the 33rd largest country in the world by total land area. Pakistan encompasses roughly six distinct regions. The Northern Areas, officially named Gilgit-Baltistan, present some of the world's highest mountain peaks, with five out of fourteen "eight-thousanders", mountains higher than 8,000 meters, located in this area. These peaks include K2, the second-highest peak in the world. Besides mountains, Gilgit-Baltistan also hosts extensive glaciers, notably the Siachen Glacier. The region has a highland climate characterized by cold winters and cool summers. Today's flight will bring us back to the Northern Areas of Pakistan. I think we did this trip a few years ago but today's has a few new twist. The flight is 485 miles with 5 stops. The first part of this flight we will be visiting K2 at 28000 ft and then off to other scenic and challenging terrain. We will end the flight in Islamabad.     Actually I haven't looked at the smoothing rate in the latest Beta because I focused on the Fenix-issue - which hopefully is resolved now. Maybe start with 25 and see which way to go from there.

    The only thing you might want to change is to reduce the smoothing rate beacuse with the default value the transitions are quite noticable and ASFS can do much better than that with lower values.

    Really, while I generally agree with that, AS is really just starting the app and that's it. One click if you will. For historical weather it's maybe three clicks. There's no need to read the manual, unless one wants to start with some customisation.

    Natorden - sorry no cloud brightness at night is a function of the way light is produced, represented and manipulated in the sim. Whether or not V6 does this any better I cannot say as I have moved away from P3D for good and now only use XP12. XP12 does a much better job of light control and cloud representation without the need for any form of addon to manipulate the look.

    Started the AS app after starting MSFS? Does it say "connected" in the left top corner in the AS window? In green? That's all you got to set up, it should inject live weather after that. To be 100% sure, click the "WX controls" tab and click on "live weather" in the middle after that. If it's not showing "connected" (but instead "waiting for simulator" or something like that, make sure the connector installed correctly (should be in the community folder). If not, reinstall and make sure to click "yes" when it asks for installing the connector.

    [Rant on] I'd like to see the terms 'scam' and 'cash grab' permanently removed from flight sim lexicon. 'Scam' = fraudulent. Not even CaptainSim meets this definition, the product description page tells you what you'll get. 'Cash grab' = a poorly made, expensive product. The definition now seems to have morphed into any payware product that isn't considered top-tier and cheap. This toxic bashing of any dev who creates mid- and low-tier add-ons for not instead creating complicated, high-quality and simultaneously cheap hurts devs and eventually hurts the community. It's worse now that the prevalence of such comments are ubiquitous on FS social media. Sure, there are products that can be considered poor. Yet, calling them scams or cash grabs would be considered libellous in the U.K. as there are very few that fall so low to meet the standard and certainly don't per MS who sell them on the MSFS Marketplace.     No, there's no cloud turbulence in MSFS default. 100%. Or did you mean 2024? Of course it's possible to have turbulence within clouds in MSFS default, but that's caused by winds or terrain in those cases. There's no native cloud turbulence in MSFS 2020.

    Are you talking about the AI traffic situation? because if you are then I am 100 percent in agreement. I would love to buy all these new fantastic sceneries but if the AI won't behave then I have to pass on all of them. It's really too bad because I am really not getting enjoyment from this game years after release. At this point I am hoping the new game will work better in this aspect but I will definitely wait to buy this time.

    It's hard to believe......26 pages of rant and useless info....Not even one to explain how this thing actually works, how to start, settings, anything....I mean...okay. AS Running but incorrect weather. It's rainy as per data and sunny outside. What needs to be set, where....Some Chewwy streams whatever for 3 HRS video and nothing..... Fantastic. Am I missing something? Anyone can post the link with "how to", from someone who is not complaining about something. Thank you
