  1. Past hour
  2. I was kinda hoping for a glowing review. But okay lol. It's a pass for me then. Thanks
  3. Considering the recent public feud going on between DCS and Razbam I wouldn't hold my breathe
  4. i will give it a try steaming as no access to normal tv aerial, trying a different hdmi cable is my next thing , thanks
  5. I honestly dont understand whats going on here... loaded the sim today and its again the older image ! I am so confused right now 🙂 Could it be calling different Bing maps source randomly ?
  6. My method is to import the full FPDatabase.xml into either MS Excel or MS Access File Location ..\aig-aitraffic-oci-beta\Traffic Files\AIGFP\FPDatabase.xml This gives a handy list you can filter by type and or country of origin You can also sort the flight plans by type in AI Manager Online Tab for the ones you have yet to install. TIP: It is much much quicker to delete flightplans than to re-download them (especially if one of the servers goes offline for a while) My uncompressed AIG full folder - 60GB - Compressed 7zip file 4GB My Active folder is 45GB
  7. Control Panel-> Administrative Tools-> Event Viewer, select Custom Views-> Administrative Events. One of the listed events will be for your CTD. The "Faulting Module" should point to the problem area. Tell us what the Faulting Module is! That will point us in the direction of the proper error, aiding in troubleshooting. It should look something like this! I'll show you an example of the error details : Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb1 Faulting module name:(This is what is needed!): 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x04f40000 Faulting process id: 0xb84 Faulting application start time: 0x01ce5e7b4fec05cd Faulting application path: E:\FSX\fsx.exe Faulting module path: unknown Report Id: 85f639de-ca93-11e2-afac-00e04c054dc3 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID:
  8. There's just no comparison. The TBM flies like a dream. This PC-12 for me (after the update) feels like the problem has been improved by around 10% tops. As someone else said, in my opinion, "it still flies like a pig", and with the exceptionally heavy feeling flight controls and slow, delayed responses on all flight controls, it feels more like flying a 747-8. I'm out and I will never buy another SWS product again, due to the comment from them in the screenie above. It's one thing to have problems. But to deny those problems... all is lost. Over and above small piston singles, SWS just cannot configure a reasonable flight model. Period. Dismissing the issues as being down to the complexities of flying the real PC-12 straight, level and in turns is just Grade A 'BS' or a head deeply buried in the sand. SWS guy 1: "Darn it, we just cannot get this right, any idea what else to tweak in the CFGs?" SWS guy 2: "Not a clue" SWS guy 1: "Ok, we'll just swear blind it's meant to fly this way. We'll blind them with pseudo-science"
  9. Wow, that's bloody brilliant! 🙂 Thanks for that! The lists per country are longer than I expected so you just saved me a ton of work! It still will be quite a task to delete the flightsplan I do NOT need (in fact... perhaps it's easier to start over again and select everything I DO need and install it once more) but yeah, this is great! Any idea how I can easily find (and DESTROY) those...? Sounds good! And that's including Asia! So I might save even more space. Not that it's about the space for me: I am doing this mainy for the loading times. The less flightplans in my Community folder, the quicker MSFS will load. And yes, I will certainly create a compressed backup when I am done. Tested a small part yesterday already and it shrunk to almost 10% so... that's cool! I don't really care for updates etc.: I just want a complete set for Europe and don't mind using it for years to come.
  10. You do not start the Traffic Controller and only the AIG box has to be checked in this case.
  11. Just a thought. Have you tried it just connected to an ordinary television source, via an aerial, and also with streamed 4k, (disconnect the pc cable) to rule out a fault with the tv. Try it with programmes having various different lighting conditions. Many televisions of all brands these days seem to have rather variable quality control. Any doubts and the tv should be returnable. Could also be worth trying a different cable from pc to tv.
  12. It’s working. Too bad FsHud completely messes up my audio mix when recording videos. Usually have to shut it down quite early, no idea what could be the cause. But issue is resolved once I close FSHud. Last flight I switched to AIG TC which takes forever to start). Just figured that out on my last flight! Impossible to compete with ATC when making a video 😅 I don’t blame FSHud for this, I just turn down the ATC “chatter” volume.
  13. Will the 737 MAX get a new cockpit, or is the default PMDG 737 cockpit used but with just three bigger TFT screens on the main panel? With a whole new state of the art visual quality cockpit the release sounds very interesting. 🙂 A 737-400 with Smiths Industries EIS would be very interesting too, maybe PMDG is also going to make a classic version of the 737 some day.
  14. i would google that ! have you got "ultimate Performance set in power plans /
  15. Thanks for the heads-up. We're on same boat as Pilot2Atc. Right now MCE is working fine in Windows 11 and I don't see Microsoft deliberately breaking apps (they tend to ensure compatibility for as long as possible). Did a little research and it appears they are just moving away from the usual speech bar which gets all apps to share the same speech recognizer instance to a model where each app designed for "speech access" will accept speech natively. Probably because telemetry is showing them hardly anyone uses Cortana or even bothers to start the built-in speech recognizer. By the way, this is why MCE creates an exclusive instance of the speech engine, rather than the shared one. The latter would cause mayhem as any speech could be interpreted as a command to open "Microsoft Notepad", "open browser", Windows menu selection etc.. very disruptive. Also, MCE uses the "Command & Control" feature of the speech engine which performs very well, as opposed to "full dictation" which is known to be unreliable. These days, all PCs have tons of RAM installed, so it's easy to grant each application its own instance of the speech engine. They are pushing the new feature and now considering previous interface as lagacy, which means, maybe beyond Window 12 (or later), some apps may need to adapt so they can drop the older interface. In any case, if we have to adapt 3 years down the line, so be it. .
  16. @tup61 I started with a full set (took a while waiting for some servers to become available) and then reduced it to what I considered useful for Europe & Asia Deleted nearly all the US Corporate, Military and Government flightplans (they are predominatly US based) The Full set has 1631 flightplans - reduced set has 870 flightplans If you really want to get down and dirty - there is a very useful tool 'AI Companion' available on the AIG forums You can dig through the errors list and remove airlines that have no paints and or models (Clue - no one seems to have modelled russian aircraft) Finally I keep a compressed backup so I never have to do a full download again.
  17. Today
  18. Clearly one of the best GA or let´s call it observation aircraft ever made. I only trust the good old Bronco when flying over Tyrannosaurus-infested areas. They look hungry today: Our Broncosaurus here has the same outstanding photorealistic aircraft museum cockpit quality as the DCS Tomcat (and the oncoming Phantom), with all the awesome details including cables, or the light bulb inside the gear lever and more included. That´s the spirit that´s the level of quality making flight simming a pure joy!
  19. 28 FPS isn't that much then. I was expecting a much higher number. I personally don't want to go below 32-ish, which I usually achieve at a large airport with settings of 30/20, although the balancer stops injection before it gets anywhere near the full 30/20 limit.
  20. Yes. The FG artifacts / blurring is obviously a completely different issue from the DLSS blurring / fruit machine effects. I see it a lot so I have turned off FG and even gone back to DX11, also due to the missing ground textures / bleed through in DX12 (which they might still fix in SU15 hopefully - I am still expecting a last beta update this week). I see the FG artifacts quite a lot in YouTube videos as well, when looking at the turbines spinning etc. It doesn't seem to bother the YouTubers too much for some reason, but I really dislike it, because with such superb graphics in the sim otherwise, this spoils it. I will say I think the artifacts (from FG) are a lot worse at low frame rates. At 30 going for 60 with FG they are quite bad, but at 60 going for 120 FG they are barely visible if at all. Obvious I suppose.
  21. When FS20 was released and for a long time the people claimed miracles about the default clouds. I know that we have just CU clouds but they are depicted in infinite ways and shapes, it's not perfect but it works well and I like it. Also, when you are in the cockpit you can't see what kind of clouds you are passing through and I find the clouds where they should be at 95% of my flights, often in a beautiful postcards landscapes.
  22. Could that be because you had the post pinned though? It solved mine years ago.
  23. For those who have it and also have experience with the TBM, how does it compare?
  24. in my device manager the wired USB keyboard and mouse has a default greyed unselected "allow the computer turn off..." option.
