    Just to follow up on this, we don't leave tickets unanswered, but it can take 24 hours and we are not available on some holidays. We have no open issues with NOAA downloads or discrepancy issues. If you have any continued issues please open a ticket and we will assist.

    If this is a network setup I'd first recommend uninstalling everything and installing in a stand-alone setup first, to make sure everything is working, then if you still want to take on a networked setup, and you are very advanced with windows networking, give it another go. We cannot provide networking technical support directly as it's outside the scope of our product. It's usually a configuration/security issue preventing proper network file access or simconnect comms, not related to Active Sky.

    I will settle for a weather system creating dangerous turbulences when flying in CBs, this is needed more often than tornadoes worldwide!... Along with a few cirrus clouds where appropriate. Beside this a working ATC that would keep away the prospect of having to pay for something that is marginally better. That would make it a month 6 purchase for me when -and if - the initial post-release dramas fade away, allowing me to - selfishly - sim when some will chase the bugs 👻.

    The biggest issue I have purchasing anything from the marketplace is they don't give you a receipt showing what you purchased. I always get some encrypted receipt not knowing what I purchased. How hard is it to generate a receipt stating what was brought and when, instead of encrypted emails.

    And if it has VR build in, I hope OpenXRToolkit will be too, or all functions integrated (which I doubt). Because only since using OpenXRToolkit, my VR looks stunning sharp. Things like Foveated Rendering are not implemented in MSFS yet, and this is needed for all users using High End Headsets....wihtout Foveated Rendering, Performance will drop signifcantly.

    Very nice vid. Robert, here I have 2 pc’s / 3 screens and the weather is automatically sync’d as clouds are type/coordinate based. When using 2 AS versions will it be sync’d too ? With AS for P3D it was not the case …

    If the base light model was a smaller size or had local dimming, I probably would have preordered. Will hold off for reviews and consider the 899 model.

    I agree that the weather looked much better. But the was a huge downside: the local conditions were almost always completely off and nowhere close to the actual reported weather. That’s why they had to merge those forecast-weather with the actual metars. That means it will never be perfect because metars are somehow limited. Making both work together is a huge challenge. But no way would I want to go back to pre SU5 with local weather being completely wrong. The general forecast-weather is not detailled enough to depict some fine variations of local weather that can vary a lot. For example you can have an airport under heavy fog and 5 miles away another one being CAVOK. That’s not possible to simulate with the pre-SU5 weather.

    NV surround is based on 3:4 monitors and will always has a fisheye effect on 16:9 or wider monitors. The only thing you can do to make it less apparent is zooming in.

    Does it make any difference if you manually type in your zfw and payload ? From a company ofp? What's the difference with importing the zfw/block fuel ofp from simbrief?

    Bernard, thanks. From what I recall, this is the process I was following, but perhaps not completely. Haven't flown it for a while but will give it another go

    Remembering all the hype over CFD being implemented I won't be jumping up and down if they announce great advances in flight dynamics. Seems the main differences will be in areas biased towards getting new gamers interested...which of course makes total sense
