  2. I suppose the in-sim turbulence settings are ignored when running ASFS?
  3. If you turn on tooltips and hover over the SFT button you will see the AP SFT function is INOP. However, you can turn the SFT light on and off with (L:MODE_SFT). Al
  4. To me, it's just fun to see that there was a severe storm in Denmark a few weeks ago and set up historical weather to go fly around. I know I could manually set layers and winds etc but, frankly, that's too much work. I justr pick the cofrrect day and all the nuances are set up for me. It's just a handy feature.
  5. My preference would go to the Fleet Shadower, noiseless and carrier-borne. That it is pretty ugly is of no importance as it was designed for night patrol. Imagine the challenge flying at night at 38 knots and not to fall asleep 😴
  6. Eh I've got enough SAPs (slow word not allowed pistons LOL) - it looks marvelous but I'm ready for something a bit faster 🙂
  7. Columbus, Ohio— It’s a great pleasure to announce that Skybus Virtual airlines is currently seeking pilots to join the New Airline. Skybus Virtual Airlines is a professionally operated Virtual carrier Based in the U.S at John Glenn Columbus International Airport in Columbus Ohio, with a secondary hub in Greensboro North Carolina. Skybus Virtual is operating just like the Original, and now defunct Skybus Airlines back in 2007-2008, except with a twist. Skybus Operated 12 A319 aircraft. SKBv will Operate brand new A320neo. We have added every route Skybus had in place plus the routes that were removed before ceasing operations. But most importantly We at SKBv are going to move on with their Original Intent with International destinations as well. On July 24, 2007, the U.S. Department of Transportation granted Skybus the right to fly international flights to Cancun Mexico and Nassau Bahamas, and we plan to add those routes soon along with other routes that we think Skybus would have flown. Here at Skybus Virtual we offer a sleek web design with ACARS, awards, and commendations as you progress through your VA career. We offer tour programs and charter flights, and assistance in training our pilots with online flying procedures. Our Airbus 320neo will deliver all our passengers to one of our 20 destinations Other News: We did Switch out our Destination St. Augustine (KSGJ) for Jacksonville International (KJAX) as St. Augustine airport in the Sim is not compatible with our aircraft Skybus Virtual Airlines is looking for those pilots who want to get the most from their flight sim experience, which also allows for opportunities for advancement within your Skybus virtual career. If you’re looking for the challenge of flying for an up-and-coming airline, to destinations across the U.S and select markets and the camaraderie of a great group of pilots visit us at link below. 8. I carefully watch the A330 Driver videos and in this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_p3If-d1Mk between 1:08:56 and 1:09:42, I don't have the same scenery (I'm in ULTRA), would you know if it's the normal landscape or if A330 Driver uses an add-on? Thank you in advance for your opinions

  10. I have no visuals to show, but my tests lean me toward active mode. Passive is sure prettier, but active always seems more realistic and truer. There is no right or wrong here, just what you prefer from your sim. It’s hard to pass up the beautiful eye candy, but for most flights, I prefer a more realistic coverage.
  11. It was @okupton who confirmed the old one. Perhaps he could double-check. I'm told it's still the old one in v6 which is bizarre. And it still piddles me off that Old Trafford (MUFC) has been in the sim since FSX days but no other famous stadiums like Anfield, Emirates (Arsenal), Man City (Etihad) or more recently, Spurs. ☹️
  12. Where you read this May 7th date? I have a feeling it will be much further than that..
  13. Haven't checked on my sim, but to be frank my scenery outside of airports is a bit barebones. As for up-to-dateness... Well... Kai Tak still exists in my Sim World so I'm not too fussed on that front 😅
  14. Thanks, Raymond. Seems to be so many rumors running around on CPU's, GPU's, etc. I think I will just wait a while until things are clearer.
  15. Ah ok 🙂 .. and yup MSFS 2024 looks to be (unsurprisingly) continuing the trend set with v2020 to redefine what level of fidelity is provided in the core sim, be it default aircraft or otherwise (and good to be free of mindsets that say otherwise from the times of legacy sims) I get the concerns of some who feel iniBuilds are taking too much on, but they've also expanded the team pretty substantially, and yes even though there were initial bugs they've at least quickly and frequently been fixing A300 to its current state, which is one of definite high fidelity (and bodes well for their upcoming A350, A380, etc). Their close working relationship with MS/Asobo during 2024 development also will likely mean they have a leg up on learning the SDK and internals of new features to take advantage of (such as for example the coming capability to define the aircraft surfaces/geometry/wings/etc much more precisely than currently possible).
  16. That is a good idea. The PC-12 is the most complex FM we have done yet and we didn't expect the users to have such issues. Part of it is our own bias though. We are so used to it that we couldn't see the forest for the trees.
  17. Really want to get my hands on SimFX, that's also on hold until SU15
  18. I am on 5.4 and I have the new Wembley Stadium. So comments above are odd about 5.4 having the old one.
  19. I consider passive mode as default. I think what I mean is that the depiction looks more believable with ActiveSky generating the visuals. They use variety of cloud coverage, types, transparencies, humidity and the cloudscapes just look more similar to what one would witness out the window of a commercial flight. Subjective opinion though, but it’s nice we have options.
  20. I have not yet decided to remove these functions.
  21. Hard to wait because it’s putting other devs on pause before they release! Esp have been truly craving the black square dukes!!!
  22. The clouds above 5000 has had an initial fix with the latest beta version of the software Changelog: Update 042424B - B8880B- Initial implementation of >5000ft cloud generation especially in Europe (NSC/NCD) - More work in progress- Smoothing tuning, mainly in attempts to eliminate earlier shifts/clearing in some cases- Added new option: Use periodic theme reloads. Default On. Enable this option to have the weather theme rebuilt periodically, approximately every 7 minutes, to provide updates and variation to the weather as you fly. Without this option enabled, updates will occur only as per your download interval setting.- Added temporary additional UI console logging for transitions monitoring (http://127.0.0.1:19999/inspector/Main.html?page=38)- Added additional logging for turbulence (simconnect log) and transitions events (main session log)- Adjusted METAR sky condition element filtering to not bypass "on the ground" 0 AGL altitude layers specified (e.g. FEW000)- Attempted fix for issue where after pressing REFRESH (debug screen) and then moving download interval slider (general options), time request can default to beginning of hour and could cause historical mode to activate- Attempted fix for flight-plan-related anomalies in weather updates, locking, and refreshing- Fixed issue with Enabled temperature-based altimeter errors option not persisting properly- Fixed issue with AS_FS_SimConnectLog.txt not properly attaching to log exports- Removed Maximum Upper Visibility option (this is not having the desired effect despite our attempts to control upper visibility without MSFS overriding this at higher altitudes)- Fixed NCD/NSC/CAVOK cloud generation issue causing loss of METAR cloud layers in some cases
  23. No sorry, that would let too many aircraft disappear, as well in your sim as in your TCAS. You better not use PSXT if you do not want real live traffic around you. 😉 No, they don't hit you. It is a "near collision" If I would use larger distances, you would wipe out too many parked aircraf too. Note that PSXT exists for almost 10 years now. These collsion avoidance functions have not changed since then
  24. The 700 number includes their partners not just people working full time on the sim.
  25. What laptop do you have? 15 years ago it was 2009, maybe you can do even better.
