  1. Past hour
  2. I'm about to do a clean install as for the life of me I can't figure out why it's suddenly not possible to record audio from MSFS when recording a video with OBS or Nvidia... It drives me insane - doesn't happen with any other game or app!! It was fine yesterday, then not fine after I restarted the sim... Pro tip: before uninstalling, move the Official folder to another location (copy takes forever). Then before re-installing, move it back to the MSFS folder location. That will save a HUGE amount of time. I've got everything installed i.e. that's a whooping 343GB to re-download. Note: fast move only works on the same drive! EDIT: The "core" files are only 2-3GB or so.
  3. For sure, some of them are working part-time on MSFS. There is no way 700 people are working on MSFS full time, for the entire year. And probably when MSFS 2024 comes out, the number of people working on MSFS will be reduced drastically.
  4. I am using both. They work fine together.
  5. Also on the beta, and I can confirm that Alt-Enter is no longer required 🎉 I haven't seen the DX texture bug for a while, but then it reared it's ugly head yesterday in Guangzhou.. that's where it's been hiding. The airport looked absolutely atrocious!
  6. Is it really so hard to roll out a hotfix just to address the screen resizing? Especially as SU15 has been delayed how many times now? Would it take hundreds of people away from working on SU15? No, it is not a significant bug but I can't believe there isn't a very quick and insignificant fix for it.
  7. Anyone using RealTurb with Active Sky or is it best to let AS do its own thing?
  8. Nice post...I have been flying the Channel Islands lately in the Aurigny BN-2. Great place to see in MSFS and fun flying.
  9. @Poppet!! Good to see you back on Avsim. JustFlight really is a quality developer. I prefer airliners, though that preview video is very tempting.
  10. That is because you are underestimating the complexity of developing a software like MSFS rather than using it. At least that mistake Jorg is not making.
  11. As a tribute to the ANZAC's, I had a flight over the Australian memorial at Villers-Bretonneux, France in the Jenny. They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old.
  12. Of ALL the bugs and missing features in MSFS, the full screen one (which can be got around in a few seconds) must be the most insignificant I have ever seen. It needed to be fixed, but I am surprised people make so much noise about this but not about other issues. And in any case, I can confirm it IS definitely fixed in SU15 beta, just so people don't lose any sleep. Enjoy your missing DX12 texture issues though!
  13. Good, maybe now he can understand our frustrations with seeing the same issues year on year and never getting fixed.
  14. didn't you know its time consuming switching from full to min screens 🙂
  15. Well, we should be grateful it is not just another flying boat. Although it was a near miss going for a short Brothers design - they did loads. Although I would make an exception for the Short Sunderland flying boat. A classic, and I went onboard the one at the Hendon Museum recently. I could have quite happily made my home on it!
  16. It would be like putting General Grabbers on a Renault 4. A bit silly.
  17. Got lost around the Aleutian Islands the other day in the Turbo Arrow in IMC, low vis and icing conditions. An AP in that situation would have been a lifesaver as it was a struggle to fly the plane and figure out why I couldn’t tune the only NDB station within 200nm 😆
  18. Haha, it’s sort of the same in the region of Norway I live in. When something’s ok, it’s probably outstanding 😅 Btw tried historical weather for the first time yesterday. Went back just a couple hours as I was a bit late to start a flight during daylight hours in the time zone where I live. It’s extremely simple to use. I just check the “sync” bow and set the time in MSFS.
  19. Same. However I tried it yesterday for the first time in ASFS, but only went back around two hours do do the flight during daylight. So it’s probably something I’ll use more. Not sure about going back weeks or even months though.
  20. Yes, and don't forget all of their light aircraft they have to support, including the local legend series for the sim, where they do lots, including the just released Do-31 and the upcoming Skyvan. I will say that some of the issues with the A300 / A310 seemed to be due to WASM issues in the simulator that have now been fixed (according to the recent developer twitch session), so it is worth giving them the benefit of the doubt on those issues. I wonder if the WASM stack overflow issue mentioned was causing the infamous drop out of the sky issue, as any stack overflow event is normally pretty catastrophic.
  21. Whoaa bush tires on a Tomahawk?! I guess that would be… fun 😅 Trying to image it with some Alaskan monster tires
  22. Maybe they want to keep the lights on because they'd like to continue to milk those who stay on MSFS2020 via marketplace sales? Maybe they anticipate that the two sims address somewehat different markets or audiences, so more users than we assume would stay on 2020?
  23. Sweet! I’ll get it the minute it’s out ☺️ Of course I won’t use the pseudo-AP in the EFB. Or at least not tell anyone that I did 😉
  24. Yes it's really odd, though tbh the way it was done with that Tournament play-off thing was rather silly imo
  25. Yes, we definitely prefer a more direct approach, which often seems rude to people who're not used to it. 😇 In Germany, there's a saying which literally tanslated says "Not scolding is praise enough". So I'd agree the title to be meant in a positive way by Emanuel.
