MarcG replied to David Mills's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Not sure you've got that right unless they just said it? a few Q&As ago it was 175 at MS/Asobo and 500 spread out through their Partners Program (iniBuilds, Gaya etc) -

Well they're probably under NDA Well wait and see, maybe they'll delist 2020 from sale after 2024 comes out. -
Great card but your i7-6700K will hold it back significantly. I previously had the same CPU and it was a breeze to overclock though. I ran mine at 4,7 GHz permanently for several years on a top notch MSI Z170A board. Still going strong in my old rig, handed down to my son. Still will drag your GPU down but a little less so.

700 people at Asobo, Microsoft, and others working on MSFS. I never understood that. $50,000 salary per year times 700 is 35 million USD a year. Seems like that would not leave much room for profit. -

again why?! They're a business, surely they want to sell the new product, they're losing potential sales by updating old software. Seems they class this as an operating system when in reality it's a game! I'll get on the phone to EA and demand they back port FC24 features into FIFA20 (see, makes no sense!) -

They said they plan on back porting some 2024 features to 2020. oof, the pilot they had doing Photogrammetry capture in Hawaii flaked on them, they didn't finish the job Top Gun Maverick DLC is leaving the marketplace May 25th the Beluga and A400 in MSFS2024 are both made by inibuilds -

yes that's fine, so why waste those resources on further improving 2024 and go back to 2020 next year when no doubt a vast majority would've moved on? -

I guess I was wrong, more sim updates coming for 2020 after 2024 is released, but no more 2020 sim updates before 2024 is released. -

Not everyone switches to the next FIFA(FC) game, not everyone switches to the next Madden game etc etc It seems like a totally bizarre waste of energy to me -

Because not everyone will be switching to 2024 right away. If you're asking why they're stopping Sim Updates for this year, it's so they can focus more on FS2024. -

Yup, their full focus is on MSFS 2024 for remainder of this year looks like (which makes complete sense).. also glad they confirmed they're planning on feature discovery videos. Can't come soon enough.. but like we suspected on earlier threads, very likely no new info will come until early/mid June when that big MS/XBox event and then FS Expo occur. -

Historical weather planned for MSFS 2024
jcomm replied to abrams_tank's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
I just want them to make 2024 at least as compatible with ASFS as 2020 even with it's many limitations is... One day is ok-ish... But ASFS already gives me what I have in p3d and XP historic-weather wise... -
