  1. Past hour
  2. Great set of shots, P_7878, and glad you enjoyed the place! With so many scenery addons on my system it's often a while before I get to re-visit places, but the Scillies are one of those places that I do go back to (relatively) often. It helps that they are sort of in my backyard for real, and there's a lot of nice scenery between me and them as well. Haven't tried them in the DC-3 though. But that's got me thinking I might take the C-130 or the Chinook down there for a trip soon.
  3. Thanks for the video. I have to admit that I’ll miss this when running in preset mode. Still testing though, only a week since release. On every single flight I change between preset and passive mode to check the difference. I guess the difference is more pronounced when there some significant weather activity in the distance. So far I’ve been pretty happy with preset mode, I have to admit. I was meaning to do that but I forgot. I’ll do a comparison in my next video (if I remember!). I’ll make it a short one, exclusively for comparing REX/ASFS. And perhaps also default? Just need to get my head around how to do it the best way.
  4. From the horses mouth (Product Page) -B The Tomahawk has a real-world reputation for being very susceptible to entering spins. We have included this behaviour in this simulation of the Tomahawk, To enter a spin, reach a safe altitude and reduce the throttle to idle. Pitch the nose up to bleed off airspeed until the stall warning horn sounds. Just before the stall occurs, apply full left rudder to enter the spin. Once established in the spin, release pressure on all controls and the aircraft will remain in a spin until pilot input is applied. To exit a spin, apply a rudder input opposite to the direction of the spin and push the nose down. Reduce the throttle to idle and once the aicraft exits the spin, pull the nose up gently to return to straight and level flight. Trty not to exceed the aircraft’s VNE (never exceed speed) or G-limits when pulling out of the dive.
  5. Me too. I have it on 70 - not sure how I came to that number but the sim looks as good as ever so I will leave that alone. I'm using a custom DLSS Ultra Quality setting at 0,80 (set in NV Inspector). On my 4K, image out the window is better than TAA and the cockpit screens are nearly as sharp as TAA - to me the best compromise.
  6. I have seen them from Maleny to Melbourne.
  7. Yes, I type in "SAS" in the airline lookup code field and hit Enter, then the response is Scandinavian" with a tick mark in the window below., and "Scandinavian" is also shown in the Call Sign field. Then I type "522" in the Flight / Tail Number field. The same procedure as when I use Lufthansa (using the code DLH) I always just select the request and use the Sayit button (never speaking). Regards, Dennis S
  8. Hopefully ASFS will be able to show local weather in the future. So looking around the ac you then can see different weather ,like with the default weather engine.
  9. Let's see how long I can resist this one - my track record with JF isn't good. 😉
  10. @Noel When you get this strobing effect, try pressing Alt + Enter to take you out of full screen and then Alt + Enter again to take you back to full screen. If that stops the flickering/strobing effect, it might suggest the problem is a monitor refresh rate issue, (note monitor frequency, not v-sync) where it is not syncing with what the GPU with FG is pushing out to it. You could then try adjusting the Monitor refresh rate, that is assuming you have a monitor that can handle 120/144/160Hz etc refresh rates and see if a lower or the monitors native frequency improves the situation.
  11. I can only imagine what joy it must've been to control this thing in pitch... 😉
  12. Hello everyone, would anyone have interest in possibly doing a quick repaint for my VA using the PMDG 737-800? if interested please let me know. thank you in advance
  13. Are you selecting Airline as the CallSign type and entering SAS as the airline code? Are you entering a fully numeric flight number, like 522? If it's having trouble when you speak it with your voice, have you tried entering the call sign as a "Personal" phrase in the Language Trainer? Dave
  14. I have seen the missing textures in DX12 in various places (from Boston to Ballina), on and off
  15. So Im thinking an option like no traffic around 5 miles during take off and landing. On ground its like hit me then desapear Kindle.
  16. Hello again, you are right it has to do with the call sign. I tried changing it to Lufthansa 522, which worked fine. I tried then changing back to Scandinavian. and this time I got a bit further. The taxi request was responded to, but when I came to the takeoff request, I got the same problem again. I then tried a full flight with Lufthansa, which worked fine. So, how can I get Scandinavian to work again? I have used that call sign since I started with P2A a couple of years aga, and never had the problem before now, when I moved to new computer (Win 10 => Win 11), and re-installed XP12 and P2A. Regards, Dennis
  17. At some stage they must have realized that putting more wings on it would not make it fly any better! Wings probably weigh as much as the fuselage and motors.
  18. Already seen them twice in two days.
  19. Just got the email announcement. Going to get me a copy, maybe you might too? https://www.justflight.com/product/pa38-tomahawk-microsoft-flight-simulator?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=New Just Flight PA-38 Tomahawk for Microsoft Flight Simulator - on sale now&utm_content=New Just Flight PA-38 Tomahawk for Microsoft Flight Simulator - on sale now+CID_8d5b685bdf467215f2673b0006f5e62b&utm_source=cm&utm_term=PA-38 Tomahawk -B
  20. Room112 is correct. That is probably the problem. Dave
  21. Today
  22. Maybe it‘s something else needed, flightnumber, departure runway in the LEGS page or something like that. No landing calculation isn‘t included (yet).
  23. Most will already be aware but the PA-38 Tomahawk is now released and available for MSFS. Product page can be found here https://www.justflight.com/product/pa38-tomahawk-microsoft-flight-simulator Out Now video for your delectation...
  24. An upgrade of the popular FStarter has just been released by rksoftare - FStarter24 MSFS. Here some video links of what can be done with this new release: : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-fKg0aCFTc&t=336s and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZhmwlK_C-E&t=308s
  25. Ya could well be I guess.. it's just that before they announced the A350 and A380, they did pretty much confirm on discord they have an A330 in the works or in plan (also there are those A330 related files found in the early versions of the ini A320 which were then removed). Now with the BelugaXL (i.e. A330-743L) confirmed, I can't help but think there'll be an ini A330 in the MSFS 2024 default fleet too 🙂 Of course ini are being their usual coy and ambiguous selves.. when asked about having had early access to MSFS 2024 and its SDK, whether they're also doing an A330, etc on discord only the below answers were given.. at least they didn't flat out say no 😅 "The thing to take away from this is that its best to just wait and see what comes and when" "2024 will be a fantastic year for flightsimming for sure"
