  1. Past hour
  2. Yes. It would also automatically send historical wind data to the FMC, if you upload those to Simbrief (via the Simbrief downloader... which in this case actually acts as an uploader), since the Fenix and others get it directly from the Simbrief API. And yes, for METAR they'd have to intercept the weather data ActiveSky injects. Certainly not technically impossible, just a question of how much people ask for it. I have a feeling FBW will be the first to integrate it. And maybe, just maybe, they might also be the first to base their weather radar on ActiveSky (assuming it's technically possible).
  3. These are all good suggestions, you should post them in the HiFi forum to be looked into.
  4. Yeah, but in our post-facts societies, what's more important are vibes, feels and narratives... Anyway, while MSFS has been a whirlwind that's made it extremely difficult for a lot of the incumbent/legacy developers, we have seen Schumpeter's economic concept of creative destruction in effect. Bold new devs, such as Pyreegue, Fenix Sim, FBW, WorkingTitle and FSLTL have led the way to even more realism. A2A, JustFlight, AIG, FSReborn and Jo Erlend Sund have all upped their respective games to make the most of the new tools available to them. A golden era indeed.
  5. Yep me to! I'd rather see VFR sectional instead LOL
  6. This would be better for us VR users who don't want to remove the HMD to click a setting on the monitor, or if there was a way to integrate it into a toolbar window that could be another option.
  7. And forgot to mention, but no conflicts at all for the ORBX Key West airport.
  8. I have this scenery and think it is very well done. The addition of NASKW and the USCG cutters are new in this version and a welcome update. This scenery depicts the airfield from a somewhat earlier period, as it has the new tower and does not have the shelter structures on the flight line, but this does not bother me as the old tower is an iconic building for the base. It is nice to be able to fly an F-35 out of here then rendezvous with a moving carrier a few miles north of Key West with super carrier pro.
  9. Hmm that is very strange. I haven't done much VFR flight maneuvers post patch. but did two hand flown instrument approaches and didn't notice much problems. Did you try to delete existing SWS PC-12 installation? I had problems with SWS installer in the past, so now I manually delete pervious installations before each update
  10. Yeah, I ran it manually three or four times, and even turned off my AV, Turned out a PC reboot was needed.
  11. Not sure what to tell you....FL350.....Looks awesome, but I do agree that on the ground looks better than anyone else can make it..... Take a look at this: https://imgur.com/a/0WfLGAO
  12. When they first started talking about Pay TV in the 50's or 60's, everyone hated the idea. We didn't realize that it would show better content and all ad free. When I got back from Germany in 1976 (I was in the Army) and moved to a house around 1980, we couldn't get TV reception and had to get cable. I very quickly decided it was well worth the price, along with a bundle of movie channels like HBO, Cinemax and Showtime. A few years ago we dropped Dish because it didn't have local channels and went to rabbit ears. Currently using rabbit ears to receive digital TV local channels but my wife is the only one watching. Hook
  13. well it's not ready to be used with anything in P3D yet. It doesn't respond to anything when firing up Aerosoft A320. Note their Simapp must be running in order to use the hardware. So far just compatibility with MSFS but it is a very nice, robust unit with nice lighting.
  14. Yes I agree I flew the Fenix A320 yesterday and just sat as a passenger in the cabin during cruise and it was very relaxing. The things we can do in the sim are endless.
  15. I stopped watching TV decades ago because of the ads. We already had mute buttons on our remote controls and it wasn't enough. I went to the movies several years back (paid full ticket price, of course) and they had ads. Not trailers, ads for products. I was the only one in the theater who voiced a loud complaint. I watched a video ("Hogfather") on Amazon Prime a few days ago and it had ads. A few years ago all the cool quirky features I used to watch on Prime started requiring subscriptions... many different subscriptions. Prime price keeps increasing and I'm beginning to wonder if it's worth it at all. I don't mind paying for Kindle Unlimited as I read 185 books in the last year, almost all were Unlimited. I use AdBlock Plus which deals with YouTube ads fairly well but may have a memory leak of some kind as my base memory usage goes up slowly when I watch YouTube. Doesn't matter, I can reboot often enough. Hook PS. Cool quirky feature on Prime: "Rubber" about a living car tire. An actual tire, live action. They somehow gave it a personality. I wanted to watch it again but it was subscription only. It's currently unavailable "in my location" but you can see the trailer. PPS. The last time I went to the theater the first thing that came up was the Netflix logo. My group and another group were the only ones there. It didn't even take up the full screen area. I think the movie was "Starship Troopers", a satire made by a guy who didn't read the book. Cool visuals though. PPPS. Is a VPN worth it? H.
  16. Yes but this is also with yaw damper. Coordinated turns are a lot of work, which they should. To be in a stable flying platform. I understand the interconnect system, rudder trim, p factor, and have my controls in linear response profiles. If the real thing flies like this, then I think pc12s would be crashing all over the place. It’s almost like in trying to replicate realism it somehow has gotten unrealistic in feel. They also had issues with the Kodiak flight model and yaw as well….i don’t experience this with any other developers models on yaw. Well, I’m disappointed because I’m not feeling confident this is going to become much better. I don’t think I’ll be buying another one of their products. I’ll try to practice more but it just feels not believable to be fighting the airplane.
  17. The flat and samey look is probably stratus layers which MSFS does not display. They are accurate but flat. Damien has mentioned that he's looking into a "disable stratus layer" option for those who don't like the visuals. For me, the MSFS visuals are beautiful but not representative of real world. Way too many cumulus clouds but they do look pretty. MSFS doesn't display cirrus clouds either.
  18. A good looking aircraft, and you've presented it beautifully!
  19. Another great series! Lots of scenic variety in these shots.
  20. Today
  21. Awesome 👍, can't wait for this one and as a German even more, a good EDDF is missing in MSFS !! cheers 😉
  22. I just updated right over and continued to run. As always, each system is different. It sounds more like AS wasn't properly closed before the update for whatever reason.
  23. Well sure, but it is only 1 click away if I feel the need. Being able to change "on the fly" is a really nice feature.
