  1. Stunning pics HL! This is one of my favorite domestic routes (but I like flying it the other way).
  2. Great pics Chris! Been flying the NGX as well, still in the states, but planning some international flights soon!
  3. Title literally describes the pics. Put some extra dirt on the L1 door. Also added some more to the money door. :Just Kidding: Sitting at the FedEx ramp at KDFW, ready for her delivery flight. Once I get her packaged up and release photos done, she'll be uploaded.
  4. Great shots Chris! Yeah I have to try Brian's new scenery....just need some time, hehe. Too bad you're not in the Dallas area, all us Dallas area simmers are contemplating a get together...working out the schedules now.
  5. sadly i'm not checked out on the MD11. dont get me wrong, I love me some good DC and MD airframes, just never got the '11 when PMDG released her. I'm too spoiled on the high detail textures of our 777 and 737 to give the aging MD a go now....and since the price of her is still her inaugural price....that pricing model does not fly with me. I can tell you they are missing out on an untapped revenue stream by never offering sales on years-old products. I too would love to see them give the girl the treatment she deserves and I'd be an instant customer, but they seem to believe the ROI numbers don't support an MD11 all spruced up in today's dress.
  6. Been to SLC a few times in tubeliners....love the approach through the mountains. Great shots HL!
  7. Thanks to all, I 'm glad everyone is liking the new SWA livery. Hey Chris, I've flown the NGX, but the iFly variety in the past. Its a very nice bird and I like the pricing where you get all the models for one price (and less than PMDG, but the quality is just under the PMDG offering). Anyway...going to fly the 800/900 and save the $25 on the 700 for something else, until much later if I get the bug to fly it. I just hope the price on the addon 6-700 model stays the same price after the intro period (like the 77's -300 seems to have). Enough on pricing and stuff, hehe this is the screenshot forum! As far as austere locations, I definitely plan to do some Pacific island hopping, hitting the islands the Marines did in WWII. I've done some of them in the 777, but she's hard to get into some of them, hehe. Hey Mike, The sound you heard out of my paintshop was probably me re-tooling half the hangar, getting ready for the 747v2. The rest of the hangar is still wrapping up a few 777s I don't think I have room for any '37s, and I think most of the painters have covered a majority of the liveries anyway. However...for old-timers such as yourself who's been here forever like I have, you guys are kinda' grandfarther'd in to my unlimited paint request line. My way of thanking you for supporting me all these years. There are many factors influencing a new repaint, esp. one where I have to get familiar with the maps, but send me a PM if you're looking for one and if its not too hard I will consider it. Thanks Darryl...but I didn't paint this one...I think Alex (aka Goldstar) did. Contrary to popular lore, I don't exclusively fly only my own paints, hehe. If I did I'd either be missing out on some spectacular liveries or spending ALL my time paining as I like to fly a lot of variety. I'm loving all the Airbus screens you've been posting, and I've considered a 'bus or two out of my paintshop, but Holgi and DetCord and others are putting out excellent work that I'd rather fly than try to match them. I painted a few Bus's long ago, but they were pretty simple compared to today's hi-res texture maps. Thanks AJ. Hehe yeah it does seem like they just went to Canyon blue, that was years ago....I like that one too much better than the old mustard color!
  8. Great shots Patrick! Love that old Cessna...so classic. And who doesn't love a radial? You can always walk up to an female owner of a plane with a radial engine and say "Nice jugs!" and not get slapped. (at least if she's a real aviation enthusiast and knows you're not referring to her...well....you know.)
  9. Great shots as always Chris! Those last two pics, I can almost taste the fog!
  10. "Center....unable, are you nuts?" :Shame On You: Love the radar, totally changes the sim! And the clouds I've been dodging are quite beautiful when you're getting above (or around them) I'm REALLY liking the new SWA livery! Can't say the same about my "other" hometown airline.
  11. OK...will make the update and get her uploaded. OK Aharon, let me see what I can do.
  12. That's not actually a bad setup Robert....now....if they say they've changed to running on 787 batteries....well, you know.
  13. My goodness that is a hot looking plane! Just like the Starship (A plane that faded way before its time), whenever a Piaggio Avanti flies over....there is no way you can't look up, although you can impress your friends by saying "Oh, there goes a Piaggio Avanti overhead" without even looking up at it. For those who've never heard one overfly you...its quite unmistakable. The first time I heard one (actually it was a Starship that I first heard 1st), I literally said "What the H-ll is that?" because I heard it waaay before I saw it.
  14. Thanks everyone! Thanks Aharon. Not sure I still have the A300 masters, but I'll look and see if I can find them. Do you have any pics of the Eastern you're looking for? Thanks Patrick, yeah she's a beauty and brings me back to my youth. Meh.....A Boeing's a Boeing....flown one you've pretty much flown them all. Let me know what you think on the World logo size question.
  15. My pleasure Mike. I love sharing, and receiving little tips to make our simming experience better. I swear this is one feature a dawn/dusk flyer can't live without! Once you set it to dawn and get the light jusssst how you like it, you fly a bit and its stark daylight again. I just leave it open, and when the time progression pops the sun into a position you don't like...just grab the slider bar and you're instantly back in the twilight. No texture reloading, no muss, no fuss...and the cool part (amongst many) is to see the shadow dance across the flight deck again. :Applause: I find I'm really missing the feature when I return to FSX to fly some legacy stuff I haven't moved to P3d yet.
  16. Hey Brian, I was thinking of Founders too, then maybe to downtown Grapevine, some good places to eat on Main street. Maybe check when the 380s are departing/arriving and schedule around that? Meet just behind the UPS 777? Hehe (my paint BTW  )
  17. I do now! Thanks Brother! Just found out from reviewing your profile is that we are the same age!
  18. Great shots Mike! More and more are loving P3d, present company included. One of the BEST features if you like seeing all the different variations or sunrise/sunset is under the World menu, "Time Preview" If you haven't already, grab the top slider in that window and watch your sim change in an instant! Cool thing is that you can fly like that, with the window still open (I drag it to my 2nd monitor), and 90% of everything works while its open. Some special lighting effects don't work, but you can just hit apply when you get just the right time of day, and you're sitting in front of your monitor looking at a stunning sunrise/sunset!
  19. Thanks guys! Just flew my 1st PMDG 737 flight...it was a metal paint, but not the one I'll be showcasing for AA.
  20. Downloaded and will try her out soon Brian! We have several Dallas-area simmers very active here, I'm thinking we need to all get together and swap stories/knowledge,etc. I'm in Lewisville and probably not far from you if you live east of DFW. The 35's turn out right over my apartment by the intersection of 121 and 35, I spot from my balcony and have been to Founder's several times as well. As far as KDAL, I'm all in too as I DART past her every day. Now, if you can model the trains as AI, especially the little bend in the track right past the tunnel under Mockingbird that rocks the train violently enough that if you're not sitting right and you have a bad back, it will tweak it for sure! Arrgh! Anyway I digress....I would LOVE a....uhhh....well....uhhh a LOVE field, hehe. Now that Virgin and Delta are flying more out of there, I can see it becoming a concerning competition for DFW in the future now that the ridiculous Wright Act is finally over. :Applause:
  21. Thanks Rich! Got it working, had to reinstall fspuic to get it working again...too weird. May dig into the migration tool later...looks like you have to do some work, but would like to bring in a few other FSX planes as well. No worries about the Titan, it was a lofty aspiration for me anyway! :Money Eyes:
  22. I sent a copy to the director of the FAA...he should route it to you asap.
  23. Hey Rich, Never used the migration tool as QW indicated their new installer will install to P3d (although they don't support it). They did say it was for v2.2, but maybe that's the deal..I'm on 2.5 and they are diff. enough. Will try your steps and see what happens. Thanks Bro! Are you on your Titan X yet? Been eyeing your Titan for sale....man its tempting!
  24. Great shots Rich! Sadly I'm P3d-less at the moment. Installed the QW 757 and killed it. Getting the open/close issue. Reinstalled GSX and the COUATL installer...no dice. Perplexed. Back in FSX in the mean time...but really missing P3d!
  25. Great shots HL! Love the last one...pictured myself as your passenger and you're giving me a great flyby of those famous falls!
