Hehe...Chris (aka Pinlifter) neglected to enable his "just kidding" .dll when he posted that... The command should have been... /./||.run just-kidding.dll/ And a PMDG 787-9 if you look close enough at the hangars....OMG alert /./||.stop just-kidding.dll/ The QW 787 is looking very nice, unfortunately it seems to be in the same Area 51 hangar as the 747v2 is at the moment. :h0134: :h0120:

Good eyes Junior! Is that ALL the changes you see? And who says the 727 was digitally edited out? Maybe it taxied out and is lining up on the runway to depart after the 744v3? <_<
-
Hmmm......these look somehow...familiar. You got me Kyle! I should have specifically stated screenshots not previously posted. But I appreciate your effort to quickly respond to the needs of the PMDG . So to have some fun with it....here is a NEW screenshot of the 744v3...can you guys spot all the "updates" that were made to the original pic?

We are visual creatures by nature, and the need to "see" something is ingrained into our DNA. I'd be willing to bet that if one of the PMDG staff took 30 mins to compose a few screens of the exterior, maybe a wing view or 2, a shot of the under carriage, spoilers deployed, etc....and titled the post "There is absolutely no updates in this post, just screenshots of the 744v2", it would soothe the savage beast known as the Persistent Mass of Dedicated Gamers (or PMDG for short) I know...we simmers don't like the tag "gamer", but that would make it PMDS and that just doesn't work. Anyway, I know any shots of the Queen, even without an update would be very well received here. As for the folks who would insist on an update with the screens, I'd let the forum folk take care of them in the usual way, hehe. Something like "What part of the title of the post did you not understand?" LOL. Seeing the Queen in one of her delivery paints (take your pick...BA, Qantas, UAL, DAL, etc) or a few shots of the flight deck would put the post over the top for sure. Thoughts?

PAC2202 Yuma - Amarillo in the 777F

Nice shots Jeremy! The Polar livery will be going on the PMDG 744F when she's released. We just need PMDG to release her (Or at least post a screenshot or 2 of any progress, hehe) -
A tribute to METAL...KMCO-KJFK
Steve Dra replied to Steve Dra's topic in The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Thanks Aharon, that sunset shot is amazing! This was my favorite livery, and I've actually flown on an Eastern A300 (yeah I'm old). I didn't have to use the paintkit when I fixed the font, and I was the one who actually created the paintkit and uploaded to Flightsim (and Avsim, but lost in the hack of the site). It's still at flightsim if you ever want to try painting the 300 yourself. (just do a search for my last name over there and you'll find a lot of my paints and other files that you wont find here...just didn't have the motivation to re-upload all those files after the hack...I lost a ton that I exclusively uploaded here.) -
Visiting Dutch Harbor (Home port of Deadliest Catch)
Steve Dra replied to GACSavannah's topic in The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Great shots! I'd like to know the scenery as well...initially I thought the ship was one featured in the show (which I love), but its a container ship. Now, if this was payware, and it had some of the crab boats in port and steaming to sea, it would be an instant buy for me! Oh what a cool easter egg I wish someone could throw in flightsim....when you fly over the crabbing grounds they have on the show, you see some of the fleet fishing there, with animated crab pots going over the side...that would be awesome! -
Speechless! By far one of the best sets you've posted yet! (And you've posted a few) The Grand Canyon is ...well...grand! I've flown past the Hoover dam many times on final to 25R at KLAS, one of my favorite destinations. Just a cool area to fly in.

Era 1960s Activity At Florida Keys Marathon Airport
Steve Dra replied to Aharon's topic in The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Great shots Aharon! I like the reflections, really adds depth to the screens. Hope to give you a gray EAL A300 soon to shoot some screens of. (well soon is a relative term, we'll see how I progress) -
What a hobby we have, being able to fly such a variety of planes, at such high detail...and more on the way! Let's see....a new 747 (from 2 companies, one's already released), a CRJ, ANOTHER A320, An A330 (can't wait for that one), a 787 and 737 from QW...and that's just the commercial airliners...I know there are way more planes on the horizon. We just need the time to fly them all! I'm soooo behind on flights I want to take (then again, my "sim" time is divided between flying and painting). And just announced, PMDG is doing a 767! (OK...in my dreams, but a guy can dream can't he?) I'd be willing to bet that just about every LDS customer who bought their 767 back then would be an instant customer of the PMDG version, not to mention the multitude of new simmers Steam has brought into the fold. To me, that would equate to an ROI that would make the numbers work, but in the end, it's up to them, and they seem pretty convinced that they won't make money from it. Oh well, 2015 has already been a year of surprises, maybe there are more on the way.

The things I do...... A lot to do, still looking for my old...OLD masters, had to use the basic paintkit I uploaded for the A300 ages ago, so will have to put most of the details back on. Don't expect it soon. And I won't be able to test it, I'll leave that up to you Aharon. -
A tribute to metal part 2, American Airlines
Steve Dra replied to Steve Dra's topic in The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Thanks Patrick! The Md's are louder than the hi-bipass turbofans of today, but back in the day, they were the quiet ones! I'm loving the AA 757 at the moment, gonna post more pics of her soon. -
Great shots of a great paint HL! Hehe. She certainly is a globetrotter the 777F. Will she be taking croissants back to her home country of Brazil on the next flight? :Big Grin: If so, just make sure Spot doesn't get into them on the log flight, and if he has to relieve himself on the flight, make sure you have a pooper-scooper to clean that new plane!

Here are a few more of a classic...the 757! I'm seeing these with more rarity as I scan the skies with my binoc's always a treat when they glide by though! At a busy LAX.... Great closeup of a gorgeous bird Pushin' back... Big Qantas making her way in... Now...THAT is a tail! Longreach...love that! Done with the push, a sister ship taxiing by The iconic LAX tower Taking the active Rocketing out of LAX Another great close up Just beautiful this bare metal! I didn't like the winglets at 1st, but now I do. She's climbing to cruise!! Passing the QE II Love AA metal! -
Great shots Chris! I found myself wanting to add the verse.... Who can take a screenshot, Sprinkle it with red, Make a fancy border and then go post it to the web... The CanJet Man can....(The CanJet Man can).... Ohhh the CanJet Man can 'cause he sprinkles it with love and makes the flightsim world taste gooood! Sorry...was I the only one who took a Sammy Davis Jr. take on Chris' title?

A tribute to metal part 2, American Airlines
Steve Dra replied to Steve Dra's topic in The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Hey Alan, I had a mixed preference with Eastern....liked the metal on the 752 and DC9, not on the L1011. My last Eastern flight was on a white-top DC-9 to Detroit. The white-top L1011 was one of my favoritist favorites. -
A tribute to metal part 2, American Airlines
Steve Dra replied to Steve Dra's topic in The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Wow....never really looked that close at the bird....it does look like a gull! I think if the gray, metallic fuse color was more like Aeroflot's silver it would look better....and I'll mock up a tail you can bring to the next all hands meeting and say this is what the tail SHOULD look like.  And I can work on the seagull too. OMG, you've actually seen me up on my balcony haven't you? But no laser...trust me at the right time of day, the pilots struggle enough with that blazing sun in their eyes! -

Steve Dra replied to Steve Dra's topic in The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Hehe, yeah it looks pretty real, and just like what I see on my balcony with my binoculars when they fly by my home. (although not this close, but I get a really good view nonetheless) Hey Mike, I've tried to like the new livery...but the tail flag really bothers me...just don't like it. Would love to see the A(eagle)A put back on the tail, and I think I could learn to like the fuse paint. Although, being in the Navy for 11 years, the color reminds me of what I was surrounded by for months when on deployment out in the middle of the ocean and no other color to look at! I agree about the paint...Ed did a fantastic job on them! Thank Hamoody. Funny that the only thing I kind'a like about the new livery is the eagle logo. Hey Alan, I remember the old American, and I liked it as well. I thought the "new" paint at that time fit the "American" red/white/blue motif that was becoming popular as our nation's bicentennial (1976) was coming up soon. As far as missing old airlines, as I mentioned in my 1st tribute to metal post, Eastern is the airline I miss in the skies, as well as Braniff, and Delta's "widget"...the best livery for that carrier. Ed! Yep, your paint for sure! Your screens (and paint) rock...even from 100 years ago! Hmmm...didn't know you did an iFly 737 in a photoreal for AA Will have to flip back to FSX and give her a flight or 2 as she looks stunning as well. I need to get the LDS 767 working so I can start flying our joint AA project...that too was a work of art. -
Living in Dallas, just off the North East corner of KDFW, you can imagine I see my share of beautiful, shiny metal AA birds on a daily basis. Sadly, this iconic livery is soon to go the way of the Dodo...and we'll be left with what the brain-trust at AA decided was a suitable replacement... Anyway, without a doubt...the planes that literally clog the sky around here are this little beauty that has been the workhorse of the AA fleet for decades: This beauty, BTW, is the stunning work of our own local favorite FS9 champion, Ed Cox, aka edetroit. This is the FS9 version, ported to FSX:SE, and I must say even though this paint is back in the 1024 days, she still looks stunning, hats off to Ed! Its unfortunate that not only is the bare metal livery leaving AA, so is the MD soon as its being replaced by the 737 and Airbus'. I love spotting these planes on arrival when the sun is just right, and the glint off that metal is a beacon, summoning me to grab the binoc's and watch her descend onto the approach to 17L at DFW. Please chime in with your stories of this iconic bird!

PMDG World Cargo 777 released!
Steve Dra replied to Steve Dra's topic in The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Thanks Thomas! Hope you enjoy! Thanks Craig! This one is kinda' monotone for my taste, but really liking the BETA...nice colors. Let me see some screens if you take either of them to some interesting destination(s). (There is no better way to show appreciation for a freeware author's work than to enjoy it, and share the screens with your fellow simmers.) -
Thanks Martin! She's in the library now.
