  1. Love that metal! Live on forever in flightsim, classic AA!
  2. Wilco. I'll make the updates and send her back for final review. The red striped version may take a bit as I have to deal with the transition on the lower fuse. :Black Eye:
  3. Great shots Chris! Oh yeah..the paint is surely going to dry out there! :Big Grin: Before she completely dries, let me know if I need to tweak anything, does the globe look ok on the tail? Is the World text the right size for the big 777? etc. Also, on the her sister ship with the blue tail that's in the paint shop....do you want the blue fuse part with the red stripe or just the blue tail and white fuse? And give me an N number for her sis' as well. Thanks!
  4. OK Chris...388 is on final to your home airport...you can probably see her on short final (ie, check your email) :Big Grin:
  5. Hey Ryan, Small world as McKinney is just up 121 and I've actually considered buying a house out there as I know the prices are good, and we have a brand new hospital I helped open right there (Its my favorite, I know many of the docs there...trained most of them in the EHR). I hope that maybe you and Mike can touch base and go from there...the simming community has always been helpful and I can see a synergy in this connection. I ride DART to and from downtown - Lewisville and past right by Love on the way...in fact Yesterday there was a Citation X by the Gulfstream hangars as we went by...I guess there is a few flying out of the Dallas area, and they are one slick looking aircraft! (Guess they have to be, LoL). Yeah at 42 you're right at the mark, and I wish you the best in your journey to the majors. Again out of curiosity, I know you don't really have a say in which bird you'll fly for AA, but do you have a preference, especially since they have a Bus fleet now as well as Boeing, and of course MD (but sadly the MDs days are numbered)
  6. Shots look great....bad monitor notwithstanding! Love the last wing shot of you turning out over the water!
  7. Hey Mike I'm just a stone's throw from Grapevine and work there often when I visit our hospital right by the airport (you can probably guess the healthcare system, hehe) When they're using 13R they fly right by the windows of the office right by Ira Woods and 114) I totally know what you mean about working for AA/USA...as B recently became BS&W as we merged with a big healthcare system in Central Texas. Us legacy B'ers will never get used to the BS&W name. In fact in my career..... I used to work for Lotus, who was bought by IBM, so I was then an IBM'er...then when I went into healthcare, I worked for a company called Eclipsys which was bought out by Allscripts..so in my last 3 jobs, I've worked for SIX companies! I've spotted out at Founders Plaza a few times....if this rain would EVER stop I'd go out there more often, hehe. Hey Ryan, nice to have a "West Dallas" simmer here. J/K....we know most folks think about Dallas/Fort Worth as if they are the same city, and only a mile or two apart, but when you live in Lewisville and have to travel to the hospital in downtown Fort Worth, you quickly appreciate how separate the two cites are. I wish you well in your quest to get back into the airline world, and hey, maybe Mike can put in a good word for ya! Out of curiosity, what bizjets do you hold ratings for and what do you fly most often?
  8. I hear ya....never can have too many freighters to fly! OK...I'll get 388 on there and sent to you asap. Let's see where your inaugural flight takes you.
  9. Thanks for the comments guys! Hey cmpbellsjc, that's a great place to spot at Love! I imagine you got a great view of Air Force One when she was here last year....I watched her fly by my building downtown (Bryan Tower). I know there are a few other Dallas residents here too.
  10. I love that cockpit shot! There is no better time to fly than sunrise or sunset! All the shots are awesome. Love the Lufty hangar, the moon on final and the Antonov's you parked next to.
  11. Thanks guys! Hey Chris, I usually feel the same way about new liveries...but this one is the exception, I think its a great looking livery! (not that the current livery is bad, I like it too). American on the other hand, I'll never like better than the original because I love bare metal on any livery (US Air, AeroMexico, etc). I'm starting to get used to the new AA, but that tail art simply has to go!
  12. Hehe....sure have...thought you'd like this one (actually painted it just for you) Give me the reg number you'd like and I'll stick it on there and send to you and you can be flying her tonight.
  13. Thanks guys! Painting a few versions....
  14. Some of your best yet! This area is so nice to fly over!
  15. Title says it all...What in the World is Steve painting? He may make special considerations to those in the forum who may be fond of this livery.
  16. Great to see you posting Stian! Those shots are top notch as usual, hope to see more in the future from a true old timer here at the forums.
  17. Great shots Chris! I can see by the 3rd photo that it was humid in Kagoshima. I'm so itching to throw this paint at a 744F v2!
  18. Thanks Darryl This is a Holgi bird, I have not painted the A320. Not sure about the CRJ....is it even out yet?
  19. Hehe, In Dallas, there is SWA and of course AA...one flies out of Love field the other KDFW...I live between both airports. In AA land....just one 737 in a sea of shiny metal planes and whatever color you want to call the new paint. Ready for departure Gear up...so long KDFW! There is nothing that beats the beauty of a rising or setting sun glint of that shiny metal! Great sunrise!
  20. Living in Dallas and working downtown, these guys fly over my building (and place in Lewisville) all the time. I really like the new livery! Taxiing out from Love field, SWA's home base. I work in one of the buildings you see in the background. Departure...gear coming up. Climbing... Turning on final for KLAS 25R Lined up...over the lake... At the gate...heading to the casinos!
  21. Thanks guys...here she is in Detroit...next to an old livery.
  22. Thanks Chris! I'm not complaining about the nice 534 ground speed, but I'm having to look out of the FO's side window to see where we're tracking!
  23. Simply gorgeous Mitch.....Regardless of the presentation...they moved me....closed my eyes and I was there for a moment. Why does XP have to look so inviting? I'm JUST getting used to P3d!
  24. KDFW has a lot of Spirit...they fly out of here a lot. Have a friend flying on the real NKA 734 right now..and I'm shadowing the flight in P3d.... A gaggle of AA MD80's waiting their turn to go...will be a sad day when they are not flying over Dallas anymore! Steve's off like a rocket! Climbing out... From the other side... 'pit shot...just passed Little Rock...heading to DTW! Check out that crosswind! Holy Smokes....ASN is not being nice to me tonight! At least its not a headwind!
  25. Great pics and paint Chris! Alex sure can churn them out! Not sure if he ever has time to fly! I was there once, hehe....only flew to test a paint...I'm more into flying now though...until the 744 comes out...then I'll be in the paintshop preparing a few you may be waiting for.
