  1. OK.,..that is the 1st time I needed my sunglasses to look at the blue sky/clouds and not at the sun! It looks like when you get between the layers the vis will be Severe Clear!
  2. Stunning set HL! Vivla' France!
  3. Oh my....lovely shots Ryan! We share a fondness for this beauty: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/463118-tbm-in-p3d/?p=3186185 Without a doubt the sexiest turboprop single on the planet!
  4. Thanks Ryan! That is Imagine Sim's KATL...they made a P3d installer for it and I have to tell you it looks really good for older payware! Frames are no problem on my machine (4790K), and it was a gem to find. I had it installed in FSX eons ago...found the website to get the free P3d installer here: http://www.imaginesim.com/katl01.htm If you had it previously I highly recommend getting it for P3d, can't wait to see what they do when they get the new version out! I was surprised to see that it has the new Intl Terminal built out and the AI Intl flights will go out of there...very nice surprise! Of course the 5th runway is there as well, and if you're flying an Airtran flight (in FS only now they are dead)...make sure to land almost exclusively on that 5th runway. I flew them weekly for years in and out of KATL, and I can count on 1 hand how many times we landed on a runway other than that one....guess our exterior paint color did not match 99% of the "other" airlines that fly out of there and they put us on the furthest runway from our gate.
  5. I've never used imagetool so I cant comment on its saving options....i use DXTBMP which allows you to easily save your files in various file types. give it a try and see if it works for you. most painters I know don't paint without it.
  6. You may be saving your paints in 32bit vs DXT5. If that's not it, I'm not sure why they'd be that large.
  7. beautiful shots Chris! I'm sure when you make this flight during the hot humid summer we'll see the condensation in those big GEs.
  8. thanks HL! i think its a nice livery...and cargo to boot Thanks Chris. yeah she's real cargo airline....they fly mostly DC8's...but i thought we needed another South American carrier to fly  I may have to let you manually install it if i cant get the package tool working...I'll see if i get a reply tonight, its not hard to copy and mod the aircraft.cfg. besides, i'm having a blast with the name!
  9. one more as i wrap up the flight...
  10. I beg to differ..... I had P3d make this for me this morning....I need the 2.6 update though...I asked for scrambled and sausage links.
  11. Naw..I was far enough away and was in trail most of the time...and it's "afterburner"...the F35 only gots one of them engine thingys.
  12. OK...not a screenshot of a turboprop slowing down...but it's a "Beta" just the same, hehe. Beta Cargo rocketing out of KATL...on a "beta" flight. As soon as I get the PMDG installer for repackaged repaints working (service ticket in with them now), I'll package it up and send it to my test pilots to iron out the issues with the paint. I think the photo-tail came out good on this one. (although the only photo part is the blue background that I borrowed from the Atlas project..the Groupo Beta and the stripes are hand made)
  13. Great shots Chris! Loving those flowers on the cargo containers, hehe. Is that John T's paint? Sweet looking bird.
  14. Pretty sure Chris, it didn't offer any gas anyway. hehe. Thanks HL, the 'pit in the F35 is pretty fancy! This is the final pic I snapped as I was leaving her to NATS....this is one of my favorite pics. B)
  15. Ahh pizza sounds really good! You're FO is actually queuing up a FedEx flight now....hope to have some pics posted soon. He's also got the Beta paint ready for...well...Beta. hehe. Just having an issue with the PMDG packager at the moment...when its resolved expect to see it in your inbox.
  16. Amazing shots Chris! Hehe....did you stop for a burger at the BK after you landed? We'll see this livery on the 744F too. (its one of my favorite paints...judging by my new P3D sig, hehe)
  17. I would check your wheels page next time it happens and see if you didn't inadvertently blow all your tires. I've seen that happen a few times, especially if I slew a bit and there is a slight elevation change between the current location and the final place you come out of slew. Got me scratching my head too when I first encountered it (Think it was coming out of replay a second before it finished with the entire replay...just landed, when I tried to taxi off the runway...no dice, hehe). If it is that....just have the maintenance crew come out and do a pit stop, hehe. (Replace Tires in the Ground Maintenance menu...2nd page) You can bill PMDG for the new set. :Big Grin:
  18. Me either! The Polar paint will definitely make the move to the 744...I may even do the DHL hybrid livery as well. I think the Atlas is going to look stunning on her though.
  19. Awesome set Chris! Great to see some Polar action. I havent been too active posting shots, as I've been "immersed" in other activities. I'll get some up when i get a chance....I actually have too many new toys to get tweaked before I can get some flights in...plus wrapping up a few 777 paints. I had a big BA 744 fly right over my place yesterday departing KDFW at about 5000 feet...talk about an inspiration to push out some 744 paints....we just have to get PMDG to finish her! lol
  20. Installed in P3d and working fine! Just one thing...not sure if its my settings...but the volumemetric lights seemed to built on "ovals"....see screen below... It's a little difficult to see...but you can see it. Not a ding at all...just pointing it out in case its an issue that needs to be addressed. I can see it on the logo light, and the nose gear lights as well.
  21. Thats why one of my fictional loads is moving the lead sleds they use at tractor pulls from one event to another! That bumps the weight up a bit. only issue is your fuel load is light since you're flying within the continental US. hehe
  22. Ahh....welcome to the freight dog world Todd! I fly freight almost exclusively, and like it so much just about all of my recent PMDG 777 repaints are freighters. There is a mix of real (FedEx) and fictional (UPS, Flying Tigers, Altas, Etc) ...And you can see that even my avatar is a cargo 777! Just click the link in my sig and check them out...there are plenty of pics to look at so you can decide if they "cut the mustard" as far as quality goes. Most have photo tails which IMO really add to the realism. I have a few more in the paint shop, need to push them out before I re-tool my paint hangar for the 744!
  23. OMG Chris....I flew on an American Trans Air L1011 on a trip back from Naples when I was in the Navy...Air Mobility Command...Maybe we've been on the same flights and never knew it. The old livery...one of my favorites. Ever fly on a World Airways DC-10?
  24. Giving the big girl an escort into the NAT tracks....She's heading to LIRF. Thought this was a really cool angle!
  25. ugh...so you guys already reinstalled the simconnect msi's and getting the dreaded no registration with the 777 in 62610? i havent been in the steam version since i got p3d a few weeks ago....but plan on using it soon to test something. do you know if the update auto-installs or gives you the option to bypass it. SE was working fine for me...no errors that the update is supposed to address.
