  1. Hehe...you and me both Al! I just got home so I haven't tested, but I would imagine all 3rd party liveries (including mine) will work just fine in SP1 I know you're waiting for the official response before hitting that "install" button for SP1....I'm too busy at the moment to do that myself, and not sure if I'll do a total uninstall 1st. I'll let you know later if I get to it before you do.
  2. Hey Aharon, I'm not sure if Daniel ever released it...we'll have to wait and see his answer. Yeah he painted some great AAs Not sure about him helping me with the EAL A300 gray version, but who knows, LoL.
  3. Hehe, I guess for a painter that's a given. Well, I know all my paints are backed up here on Avsim. :Big Grin: I can just reinstall them from the downloads page and check to make sure they are all looking like I intended when I uploaded them. (I should do that as part of my final QA, but I admit I don't . I rely on the community for that...they have no problem letting me know if I missed something )
  4. I'm sure I'll find a way to get this paint on the 744F when the 747v2 is released.
  5. I'd like to welcome Daniel Halpern back after waaay too long away from this great hobby. I too took some time off, but instead of yakking about that, let me show you what Daniel's metal looks like: He and I co-painted this one. He did the metal and I did the Comair livery. He's a metal master I'm tellin ya guys. And this one he'll surely recognize: He should, he painted it. Thanks for coming back Daniel...now get busy and help me paint!
  6. My pleasure Chad! This is one of my favorite plane/livery combo's to fly..so I was painting her for sure...and in fact as you saw I had the tail done and was flying her in my personal collection for a long time....but got off my lazy butt and finished the rest of her so you guys could enjoy her too. That same fate waits for this one: So far only the tail is my paint...when I get the rest of her all in my paint...you guys will be flying her too (personally this one is my overall favorite, with Tiger running a close second) And for those who do not follow the screenshot forum, the Flying Tigers paint is released as well.
  7. Oh my....very beautiful shots Imran! I really liked 1,2,3...oh heck ok I really like them ALL!
  8. She looks great R! I know how frustrating it is painting a plane with model issues...very frustrating. I hope CS listens and fixes the issue...but sadly that is not their strong suit after a plane has been out a while. They tend to move on to the next one. Hope they do though as the 777 is beautiful aircraft, and you're doing your part to make her more beautifuler.
  9. Already in the library Marek. Click the link in my sig to go get her. She's a beauty!
  10. A FedEx 777 paint over Dallas, Tx.... Coincidence HL? I can tell its not my paint, and if it was just a coincidence that you posted pics of a FedEx 777 over my hometown after I just released a PMDG version of her is amazing! Or if you were posting to see if I picked up on it, I did and thank you. Either way....stunning pics as usual. (I think I see my house! )
  11. Paul!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's GEZZER-town! LOL. Yet another painter-extraordinaire. Good to see you again. You of course are "grandfathered" into my check airman program. If you want pre-releases of my paints just shoot me your email address. Really good to see the old gang crawling out of the wood work. Ok all you old-time lurkers...reveal yourselves! I command you to appear!
  12. Hehe...totally understand. And I know your're not drunk. Maybe inhaled a bit too much paint fumes (relevant pun for those not in the know)
  13. That is close....and close enough, you're invited to the team. (The screen means I just upload it...its normally not available until several hours later, depending on when the next upload cycle is) Great guess Aamir, and proves you read some of my posts, hehe...Earns you a spot on the roster. You got it Jazz...you're on the roster now! Important info guys to joining the check airman program....do NOT send me your email through the PM system here...my box is almost full and I like to keep the messages I have for my own personal reasons (read:I'm not cleaning up my box just to take more requests, hehe). So...go to any of my downloads in the library, do a ZipDive (little button in the upper right corner of the screen) of the file and open the readme.txt. My email address is in there. Send me an email that you were invited to join the team, and very important to include the screen name you use on Avsim so I know who you are. Once I have that, and my next paint is ready for the check airmen, you'll get a link to it in your email. Pretty simple right? And guys...she IS in the library now...go get her!
  14. Hey Juan, Since you've followed my recent posts I'm thinking you may know. (that's a hint for the rest of you to check my last few posts, hehe)...and yep you're already part of the check airman program...take a guess...and I won't acknowledge it and see if other's agree with your answer. I'm REALLY going to bed now...had to take care of some work emails when I THOUGHT I was heading to bed a while ago...hehe. John and Rich...good guesses, but nope. Ahmet...Trust me...if I could influence the SP1 release with my paints...I'd be painting my fingers off! ok...really going
  15. Thanks Will. She was fun to paint, and she turned out great. Remind me to show you guys some of the things you don't see painters have to do to make it look right....I think you may be surprised some of the things you have to do on some paints (like this one because the metal texture is a continuously changing gradient that is not that evident until you run into an area where the modeler joins two parts of a cylindrical tube together) Anyway, if it was as simple as slapping paint on to a 2d texture map with no consideration to the 3d model it will display on..this stuff would be REALLY easy. Pics will be worth a thousand words...stay tuned.
  16. LOL...OMG Chris...that comment just earned you a lifetime membership in my check airman program! Send me an email address and you'll get to fly pre-releases of my paints before anyone else (except me and your fellow check airman). You can have my FedEx paint now if you send me an email address before I log off in a few minutes...clock is ticking. And I can relate also...but only for a short time longer.
  17. First one to correctly guess the meaning of this screenshot will be a guest check airman on my next paint release. I'm heading to bed guys...already worked 62 hours this week at the hospital...been a long week! I'll check tomorrow and announce the winner.
  18. Hey Daniel, I'll agree if you do, that maybe we are a bit on the modest side, but equal admirers of each other's work. There are still a few of the old-timer's here, and I hope they are reading this and chime in...it was great back in the day! I don't know of any MAC software that would let you fly FS...but I hear of Windows emulators out there that let you run it on a MAC if you have the horsepower and right version of the OS. Hopefully someone with knowledge can chime in...Simmers....I'm TELLING you...you WANT this man back in our hobby supplying paints..so help my fellow painter and FFG/SGA member get back into our hobby
  19. OMG its an old timers party!!! Ladies & Gentlemen, may I introduce Mr. Daniel Halpern, my paint partner in crime years ago!...a man who knows metal like Xudeva (And they are both from Mexico...coincidence? Hmmm). In fact, we partnered on a few EMB-120 paints waaay back where I used his metal (Its a weakness of mine...stealing other's metal textures, hehe.) You non-painters out there need to try and encourage this man to pick up the paintbrush again...he's one of the best! Daniel, it is GREAT to hear from you...man we need to catch up! OK...I just clicked the link under your sig Daniel....OMG.....Guys....THIS MAN is the artist here...I pale in comparison. Click the "Complete Collection" link and see if you don't agree.
  20. On short final to KSEA..... I thought it caught the beautiful metal just right and I wanted to share....Steve...actually flying? Naw! And of course that tail...I think this one came out pretty good. (love the moon in the background.) Did I ever mention how I love painting on 4096x4096 texture maps? :Applause: You can't get this detail on 1024. FedEx is close.
  21. Sweet paint R! My brother-in-law flies these for this company in real life...what a job huh? (has most likely flown this airframe) Well he did have a real boring job before that...F/A-18 pilot for the Marine Corps...yeah...horrible career path I know...I tell him how sorry I feel for him whenever I see him. :Just Kidding:
  22. Uh oh...I think the dreaded painting bug has bitten someone else. Great looking paint R.
  23. Great shots Imran! I hope I'm not getting you in trouble with your VA...hehe. Fly the line! That is the VA battlecry! maybe one day I'll do a PIA...but we KNOW there are some excellent ones out there already..remember that on the criteria scale. Hehe...sooner than YOU may think Chad (You should scan the other posts you replied to concerning this paint)
  24. Hey Will...same drill...email address please. Hehe thanks! I could use more time in the day to get all these paints to you guys.... And even though you just missed qualifying for the check airman program Aamir, you made me laugh and that counts. Send me an email address if you have the PMDG 77 and want to fly this paint now (or when I can get the link to you...heading bed so if you act in the next 5 mins I can shoot it to you...if not...tomorrow)
  25. Hey Jeremy, check your gmail. Hey Aamir, Not saying its out of the realm of possibility, but the criteria that many have painted her and some are very good paints, that puts her pretty far in the back of the hangar...although she is a simple livery...which could move her forward. Hard to say with this one. I'll make a deal with you...or anyone...Find me an extra 24 hours in a day and I'll paint whatever you want...that should give me just about enough time, hehe. Thanks Menojsa Speaking of FedEx...is there any place to get a proper AI package of FedEx? WOAI doesnt have one that I know of I'd love to find one as well as I never have. :( Both Menojsa and Eric (I think that is your 1st name)....you actually qualify for the check airman program (due to your 10+ tenure at Avsim)...if you own the PMDG 777 and want to test this paint before everyone else gets it...send me an email with your email address. My email is in every paint in the readme.txt file. Check my paints by clicking the link in my sig. Hey Dusty, You too qualify for the check airman program for this airframe (just counted and you are one of the 1st 5 to reply to this thread) Send me an email with your email and the pre-release is yours!
