  1. Love Dallas...but loving Tampa more so far. 😀 In this shot I was heading to DCA.
  2. Just one beautiful shot of a flight this morning...this sim never fails to amaze me. Heading up to FL350 to join the others writing white lines in the sky 🙂
  3. Great shots of a great livery! Just a fantastic plane overall. I wish I had more time to fly her. All my free time is for testing PMDG stuff right now. 🤔
  4. No thanks necessary....just knowing folks are enjoying the work us painters put into our projects is thanks enough. 🙂 I had a vested interest as this is my favorite livery as well, and could lend my metallic expertise to the paint was worth it just for my own benefit...but us painter's usually like to share. 😉 Here she is with the updated metal
  5. LOL...yeah looks like @Tim-HH knocked her out.... https://flightsim.to/file/61890/black-square-tbm-850-n422az-dynamic-registration Great job Tim! Will be wearing my darkest sunglasses when walking up to her on the ramp on a sunny day! 🤣
  6. RIP Queen Mother! 😞
  7. Was glad to help! Love this livery, and I may create some based of the metallic effect. Here are a few shots I took when finalizing the metal look. (N714VC was the reg of the very1st plane I flew)
  8. Just noticed that @jankees painted it for the default 930....maybe he'll paint it for this beauty?
  9. Bravo throttle? Its your buttons mapped to the switches. If not, not sure. As for your title of this thread...I'd ask you the same thing about the choice of your post title. Did you "test" it in your mind, running thru the possible replies from 100s of simmers here with the aircraft installed and running fine without the issue you stated..then thinking "yeah, I'm sure everyone will be empathetic and rush to help me, and immediately chime in that they too can't believe this was released in this state, and no testing obviously was done"? Or was this cheeky sarcasm and we're all missing the humor? Hope you get your issues resolved because she is a very enjoyable plane....one of the best in my opinion.
  10. Yeah that's been a long running issue with Avsim....you can only have 100 messages. I've actually saved 100 messages from over the 20 years I've been here....a lot from folks no longer with us, including Mr. Allensworth (RIP Tom). I refuse to delete them as they hold sentimental value. I PM'd you on Discord. 😉 Here is another angle/sun position
  11. I'm playing with the comps on your paint now.... Here is the result so far.... I have to tone down the gaussian blur a bit on the metal flakes...but not bad for a 1st run. 😉 I'll touch base with you later after work today and show you how I'm doing this. EDIT a few more shots at different angles and sun positions Hmmm.....wasn't planning it...but maybe. 🙂
  12. All look great Ryan! I noticed in the livery folders that there are no comp files so the metallics are...uhh...not metallic. 🙂 The comps are in the generic texture folder. I'm planning on fixing that as I want to do a metallic silver for my 1st paint. I'll touch base with you later if you want to strategize on how to make that happen on 852PS (if its supposed to be metallic silver) 😉
  13. I'll buy them all....hard to tell which I'll fly most at this point. But heck there are not enough hours in the day as it is to fly all the great planes we already have. The Comanche could be a full time flyer if I had the time, and I'd love to do some slow sightseeing in the Sting, as well as the PMDG DC-6, 737s (I fly the 737 almost exclusively at the moment as we're busy testing some "things" coming for her), the Fenix and FBW Bus's, you get the idea. I like the phrase "Embarrassment of Riches" as it applies to our hobby recently where we've had such a lineup of great aircraft to fly both right now and in the future. GA selections are rich as we see...and I agree a few long range business jets would be welcome. And just look at all the commercial airliners on their way too. (Airbus's galore, including the 380 and 300F and 330, the 757 and 767, the MAX and of course the mighty 777) I've been in this hobby as long as anyone here, and all the old timers will be hard-pressed to disagree that this hobby has truly has never been this good.
  14. No....actually looks better than my 1st repaint. 🤔
  15. now THAT was a sim! Spent hundreds of hours in it. I still have my brown "Flight Assignment - ATP" book around somewhere. Yeah...keyboard pilot here too back in those days. The graphics were next level too! Nothing like the the crappy default aircraft we're forced to fly now a days...
  16. Hope Just Flight is ramping up their server bandwidth....this one is going to be popular based on the responses here. TBM, M500, PC-12. The announcement of the MU2....turboprop-o-looza! 🙂
  17. Hehe...either that or on Spotify listening to the Eurythmics. Hoping you were making a reference to that on purpose or it was an incredible coincidence!
  18. You didn't happen to travel the world and the seven seas did you? (see....some of get it). 🙂
  19. My thoughts exactly! I think I'm gonna' pass on painting this one...I'll just fly the ones I know you'll paint. 🙂 If you're looking for a livery to do...I think this one is the best-looking (I love the silver paint)
  20. Because everyone knew that Betamax was a superior format, hehe...then laser discs came out. LOL looking back they were so ridiculous. Today, just about any physical format is bordering on useless with the access we have to high speed internet. I have stacks of CDs, DVDs etc that I look at every so often....try to get motivated play one...then remember I disconnect the DVD player years ago and would have to go behind the TV/entertainment center and reconnect it. I remember the old days when I'd pay $200 more for a receiver that had a signal to noise ratio that was a few points better than another, like I'd ever hear the difference. And Blaupunkt was both considered audiophile quality, and fun to say.🤣 Currently listening to my Spotify playlist on an Alexa puck placed in the corner, with the walls pushing out some nice bass tones. Less than $100 worth of equipment sounding just as good as equipment costing thousands back in the day. Love this scene in "Catch me if you can" (at 24 secs), where he tells the guy to stay away from the Hi Fi...."Its reel to reel". 😄
  21. My current style of flying is picking an airframe from flightradar24, and replicating it's schedule until her next flight is a place I don't really care to go to...then look at that airport in flightradar24 and check out departures to places I might be interested in...hop on to that plane and fly a few legs with that aircraft. So in the screen below, I've been flying N257WN for a bit, just completing a KLAS to KSMF leg. The leg is off the screen at the bottom, but she's going to Denver next, San Fran after that, then to Burbank. Good airports for my current mood...so I'll stick with her for a bit. 🙂 For realism, I replicate the gates she occupies at each airport, even trying to take the same exit and match the taxi route...which is easy to do with flightradar24 as you can see below. I also get to put in the actual squawk code, hehe. When you get lucky...you even have the same reg for the aircraft you're flying. Here I am rocketing off of 26R at LAS on my way to Sacramento in N257WN. 🙂
  22. I commented on the broadcast that we have the M500 coming from @simbol, the SWS PC12 and the BS TBM all coming...I'll buy them all, lol. They all look outstanding, and you can never have too many sexy single-engine turboprops to fly. 🙂
  23. Ugh...yeah....I thought he was going to fly it around a bit....guess not.
  24. https://www.twitch.tv/twotonemurphy Looks as stunning as we hoped. Go check it out if you're seeing this as he's streaming. If not, I'm sure there will be a recorded playback later if you miss the live show.
