When using WorldAI flightplans with PAI aircraft which would you suggest ? Do I change the title in the PAI aircraft.cfg to match the worldai aircraft.txt or change the aircraft.txt to match the PAI aircraft.cfg's ??Or do you use a program like AITM at let it sort it all out.If I sound confused, it's cause I am. :-)Your suggestion would be appreciatedSteveCYYZ

Hi ScottWhen they first suugested the wiring was the problem I expected to hear of some sort of recall. It's real creepy nothing happened until now.Was it a 200, 300, or 400 ?SteveCYYZ

Many improvements on my Geforce 3. I don't monitor FPS so I can't really comment on that but without any tweaking I am getting:The colors are richer and overall everything is sharper.It's smoother and especialy in spot view where I would get these hickup like lunges of aircraft that has been puzzling me since I got the G3 is now gone.I think the FSAA is a little better but I won't say for sure quite yet. I have noticed that some of the default AI aircraft and some static aircraft are displaying as all chrome for a minute before the textures do apply. I have never praised any of the driver versions previous to these 40.41's but have to say at this early stage I am very much looking forward to tomorrows flying. :-)Need some suggestions as to tweaking the settings with the new interface.SteveCYYZ

There was a post the other day in the FS2002 forum that duscussed the Radeon 9700 video card but it's disappeared. In it someone said he had the new card but was having problems and I wanted to know if he has made any progress ?Anyone else got it yet, and if so what do you think ? SteveCYYZ

I want to create just a few plans, maybe not so real but ones that would place airlines at locations and times when I fly. Corsair as an example. I'd like to keep it simple . :-)There's so many programs available it gets confusing.What would be your tool of choice for this task ?Thanks :-)SteveCYYZ

I haven't been able to find any TTools v 1.2.2.Are you sure your not getting the versions mixed with AFCAD 1.2.2 ?My searches only come up with TTools 1.2SteveCYYZ

HowdyYou will also need to add UnOfficial repaints and schedules from the PAI web site. Unfortunately the rest of the auto-schedules will probably be a long wait. If you can't wait you will need to learn the TTools program and spend hours adding the aircraft and plans yourself.SteveCYYZ

I have never been completely happy with the Geforce's FSAA as compared to the Voodoo 5's. Those jaggies and swimmy lines drive me crazy !!Yes, the 9700 is said to give more fps when in FSAA modes but I think I'll wait till there's a card that gives both quality and performance.I was hoping to hear good things about the new matrix but nothing yet. :-(SteveCYYZ

Hi RudiUnfortunately I don't think there is anything yet. I have seen soom screenshots of CYYZ using Lago's FS Enhanser. Several of the available user edits look good and add some improvement to the default.SteveCYYZ

It's nice to know I'm not alone. :-)You guys really expressed the way I feel. We do tend to pick certain forums or cabins(hehe) as home. My cabin has this party goin on and it's gotten real crazy, can I come over to yours. :-lolI noticed there has been this HUGE increase in new young flightsimmers since the release of FS2002. I just hope that the terrible tragedy in New York didn't have anything to do with it. Flightsimming isn't a game to me it's a real passion. I have always looked to the skies as long as I can remember. When just a kid I would walk to the local airport and dream of flying. Unfortunately I was the kid with the coke bottle glasses. :-( Well you can guess the rest of the story, dreams shattered and my life is a case for Dr Phil. In the 5 years of flight simming I have not met a single person, young or old who shared this interest. I get these strange looks from all when I talk about it and once over heard some disparaging remarks about flightsimmers when at Aviation World. I still can't believe that one. :-hmmmSo I guess we are a rare breed. Believe me I do think the more new, young FSimer's the better. This is good for all of us. Many will be long time positive contributors to our flightsim communities. But with all new members of a family, there must be discipline. We need to show people what is right and wrong. The moving posts situation has been stated perfectly above and I also agree that there are some serious liberties being taken lately particularly in the SSF that need to be addressed immediately. I have had a few posts over the years deleted and my response was ooops, I guess I was out of line. :-)CheersSteveCYYZ

Oh Yah !!, I depend on Bears keen eye to point out those files I seemed to have missed. There's always something. :-lol I can't believe anyone would criticize Bear's reviews. I wasn't going to post this complaint as it seems my feelings on this matter are clearly in the minority. However a recent discussion in this forum regarding rules has me puzzled to the point I feel I need to vent. :-hmmm I have been a participant at AVSIM forums for nearly 5 years, I think :-) . I consider myself a serious FS enthusiast or hobbiest and I am one of those that believe in the rules, as without them human nature would see these forums go nutz. :-zhelpSo I ask myself, why have the AVSIM staff not enforced the rules in the screenshots forum ? It used to be a wonderfull place where I could check out pics of new aircraft and sceneries from the library, share pics of our FS flying experiences, maybe even see a work in progress. However, in the last few months I feel like my house has been taken over by %&*@#!. Their sitting on my couch, eating my food and drinking my beer. I'd ask them to leave but there's just too many of them. I think their waiting to collect more STARS *** Browsing the forum is like an obstacle coarse, standing in the way of my enjoyment of this forum. I don't come here to look at pin-up girls, wish you happy birthday, see pictures of your dog or get inundated with email notifications because you've decide to turn the forum into a chat room. Is there some kind of competition or maybe a prize to whom can post the most ??Where have all the serious mature flight simmers gone ?SteveCYYZ

HowdyI need your advice. I have all the PAI auto installed schedules installed everything seems real good but of coarse many airports are quite sparse. I would like to get more airlines and schedules running but I remember the lengthy process it was pre PAI. I am currently working on a gmax scenery project and would hate to get sidetracked, devoting too much time to this but I feel I can't wait any longer for the rest of the auto-installers. So I ask, what is the best way to put it all together? Has anyone made available their PAI compatible flightplan and aircraft files for compiling ? Can it work that way ?SteveCYYZ
