Thank you so much for doing this. I was going to do same by explanation not video, I am keeping fingers crossed that they do understand what it is we have been complaining about. Lets hope enough of us comment on this so they pay some attention to the issue. I am hoping that it is at least addressed in the 2024 ver. It would also be great if the settings on the free flight page could be saved.

World's busiest airport, but no descent model yet. Makes me wonder, what's so different about KATL? It's not situated near some large photogrammetry city like London or New York. The Seattle area has at least three very detailed airports and city enhancements that I own and use together with all enhancements turned on, yet while it does drop my FMS some, I fly comfortably in VR. (I fly Ga). So, if it's not the location, what's so different?

I have not seen any changes positive or negative re performance in Vr. I too am disappointed.

MSFS and ASOBO did it again. Perhaps one day they will get an update right. Lets see how long they ignore user comments this time. Better yet lets see how long if ever, it takes them to fix this regression. Rant done. PS. Love the other stuff in the update.

I have decided to try Say your intentions, and I am quite enjoying the experience. I now find it necessary to take notes while in VR, but find it breaks the emersion, when I have to take the headset off. Is there an app that works as a scratchpad in Vr? If so where or how do I set this up? Thanks in advance

I was being 'tongue in cheek', I am in the BETA. I was thinking of all the times of final releases followed by the myriad of complaints of regression and broken features, like the time an update wiped out my logbook. I saw this as a way of holding off updating till I feel confident, should I so desire. Shows how little I know about the inner workings of MSFS. Just a thought.

A way to hold off on those pesky mandatory updates that breaks stuff?

Have the exact same problem. Unfortunately, opting into the public test channel does not fix it for me, I was already on the public test channel when the problem started. I beg anyone with any ideas on a resolution to share. I have already updated every possible driver on my computer.

I had the happen when I left the Beta13 a few days ago. Unfortunately, the fix for me was to uninstall and reinstall MSFS. Took me hours over a 2day period. I have decided to stay away from Beta 13 until I hear the performance issue is resolved. Good luck. I hope you don't have to take the re install route.

The ability to start flight cold and dark at the exact position and cockpit saved as I left the simulator last.

Hi, Is it possible to make my own choice of airplanes to fly intro flights? I am partial to certain airplanes and basically fly them exclusively, but MSFS seems to decide what airplanes to use for intro flights. Thanks.

Hi, I fly exclusively in Vr. I noticed that when I end a flight while running 'developers' mode, my seating position does not reset like it does when in "normal" mode. I am thinking of leaving 'developers' mode on to avoid this annoyance. Is anyone else doing this? are there any negatives to doing this? Thanks in advance.

I just did what u r about to do. I saved my community and official folders. I then ran the install of MSFS from XBox app. When I started MSFS and it was about to update, I paused it. I then replaced the new official and community folders with the back up. I then continued the update. The entire installation took about 45 minutes. perhaps less, I wasn't timing it. I did take pictures of my important settings as I expected everything to be default. Your control setting however, is saved on the MSFS cloud so no worries there. If you do not save the official folder and you have slow internet like me, you are in for hours of downloading like the virgin installation. Regarding paying again. Not to worry ...If steam go to your library. it should be there...If Microsoft, go to Microsoft store and check your library, it is there under games. Or go to xbox app and its there, just follow the instructions. Good luck. hope I was able to help.

Had this happen to me twice. Last time was about 2 days after the AAU 2 update. Previous time was quite some months ago while I was in BETA and MSFS accidentally released an update (They later pulled it down), but not before a few of us downloaded it. That error also erased my log book. (lost over 150Hrs). After that (Loosing the log book), I have been using spad next for all control axes and taken pictures of button mappings. Of course, I still had to go back and re set everything else including graphics and assistance preferences. No clue why ATC no longer works for you.
