I have two profiles specifically for default and P3D with the only parameter changing being the CPU affinity. For Default profile all processes are on full hyperthreaded CPU affinity (cores 0-11). For P3D I have a profile which pushes all non-P3D processes to cores 1,3,5,7,9,11 and puts P3D on 0,2,4,6,8,10. The result is as below. https://ibb.co/nc21bMv

That is why I brought it up and Bruce also wondered why it is not used. This was an older tweak and I guess has not been discussed much recently. It is widely known in many gaming forums.

As with all tweaks it will be setup specific. Try it out and let us know. Works well for us, that is why we highlighted it. 🙂 But like others I did not like the 30Hz mouse issues so found this ideal for me.

Just install the latest MSI Afterburner and it is auto-installed. I still use the venerable AlacrityPC to shut down processes and programs as per profile and the MSI AB / RTSS start with the profile. For the display of parameters on screen as per my screenshot above you will need to use AB.

A lot has been written on the core balancing. I have always used Process Lasso and it perfectly balances the load across whatever cores I assign to P3D. Right now I am using HT on (it helps in overall PC fluidity for other programs) and in PL I use HT disabled specifically assigned only for P3D. So for my CPU PL assigns physical cores 0,2,4,6,8,10 to P3D and 1,3,5,7,9,11 to every other process. I don't use the Affinity Mask tweak.

OK for me it appears -2 is better. Will keep testing.

What is the scanline sync setting you are using? -1?

Try the frame rate limiter in the MSI Afterburner/ Riva Tuner SS. Works really well with the unlimited setting. RTSS/Afterburner also has some other great features where you can monitor key GPU/CPU parameters on screen. https://ibb.co/ZmpjZp9 See top right.

Perfectly described. My only grouse with LNM is that it has grown to become a monster with so much functionality that it becomes unwieldy to run at times. So I end up just using it for seeing where the parking is on default airports. For VFR flight planning I just use navigraph charts desktop and my GTN750 in-sim. But that is just me...

There is really nothing I can say about it right now. Check the latest DTW beta. If there is no fundamental change in the way V5 is rendering scenery it should work. I am happily snuggled in with my 4.5 so cannot test...🙂

Hi Gerard, I wrote this elsewhere for 4.5 but may work for 5. For V4.5: I have been running some experiments on P3DV4.5 and Process Lasso. My problem is heat on GPU/CPU. I was on HT off for a time because of this. I recently went back to HT ON and I found that my win10 performance improved significantly. I then went back to PL and set up a profile which when turned on moved P3D to HT OFF (it is in the CPU affinity drop down). I moved all other processes to the other cores. Result: Lower temps and same performance and better Win10 performance. Very satisfied!

SPAD Next has a large community driven profile bank for almost any aircraft available for P3D/FSX. Must got through those to shortcut having to do profiles oneself.

I wonder why it worked without 3.1. Must check this.

Hi Mitch, I use KONT in V4.5 and it appears to be OK. It has reflections on it but they are normal and not stuttering.

You can but the problem is fixed now with the update to the GTN750 by Flight1.

Thanks. It is the Flight 1 version so it is a known issue. The nav button is unchecked in the audio panel so that is why I reached out for help.

Quick question, I tuned the GTN750 to the VOR at Louisville IIU. I started to receive the beep of the audio of the navaid. However, I cannot seem to find how to turn it off? Any help as it is very irritating.

Send me the PDF. As I have said before it is Ian who has the final project file so the entire jetways network with SODE are with him. I can adjust things like AFCAD etc. but not much more.

Like Chuck I am still a fan of the original 145/175s from FT. I will be purchasing the latest version of the 175/195 soon because the older version is still a compromise as a port over from FSX. I will not be purchasing the 145 because my AS CRJ is too much of an overlap and i am very happy with the latest version.
