  1. I had to figure this one out. Press Shift+E then quickly after this press the number 2, not all together though.Shez
  2. OK try and put PSP as the top most entry in the scenery library. Let us know if it resolves it. MS mentioned you might be flying FS2002, well then the exclude of default scenery may not work. Not tried it though.RegardsShez
  3. Interesting but how do you create a hard surface to land on?Shez
  4. The realism! I usually share the time flying and ATCing on VATSIM. The realism of the whole experience cannot be compared to FS ATC. Yes you have to seek out the areas where ATC coverage is available but I utilise both VATSIM and IVAO so can at any time find some area where I can fly. I usually just get time on the weekends so it is usually a little busier. Both VATSIM and IVAO controllers are very proficient and I enjoy the adherence to real world procedures. Why would I want to even discuss online flying if I was just going to get into an aircraft and zoom off...?I do a mix of AI and real world traffic sometimes when traffic is light. If I am departing from an airport where I know only one or two other MP a/c are at then I turn on the AI and fly with AI active. If I get to an area which is busy then I turn it off and on comes the VATSIM traffic. For the other complaint about lack of ATC coverage, I have another trick. I use FS Build to build a flight plan then export for both SB and the FS GPS. When I start a flight I load both flight plans so that my FS GPS gives me a moving map of the flight, and I use the SB FMC (which is very efficient I think) to actually couple the autopilot to. This way whenever the VATSIM ATC says radar service terminated, then you could just tune in to FS ATC and file a flight plan while going to the destination and off you go. Then atleast it is the best of both worlds.Shez
  5. Oh OK I thought you meant all the freeware authors should band together to write to Ferdy or to his webmaster.Shez
  6. That is true when one opens the file after it is on the HD I think. AVG6 actually automatically scanned the files as soon as the download completed. I did not find the same option in AVG7.Shez
  7. Quick question, how do you get AVG7.0 to scan downloaded files? With AVG6 you could specify in Download Accelerator the exact file exe that scanned and it gave a report at the end of scanning, but cannot find the same exe in AVG7. Any ideas?ThanksShez
  8. The worst is they have stopped answering emails. It just bounces back.Previously Ferdy removed the files but no chance now. Interesting that the summary of the law suit that he claims he won stated that FS Planet will respect the wishes of authors when they restrict sites in their readme as long as they do not mention FS Planet in the negative.I have found that if the file is at AVSIM it does not end up at FS Planet. Therefore I have decided to restrict all future uploads to AVSIM. I am an old fan of flightsim.com and Nels has always been on email and very helpful but alas eveytime I upload there it ends up at FS Planet. I think the one exception to this is the original poster of this thread and that is the problem when someone posts the file to another site that FS Planet can poach from.Tom, remind me what the authors need to do here?Shez
  9. My Palm Springs Airport scenery was recently uploaded to FS Planet. In the readme it specifically states the sites which are going to host the file, but Ferdy Serena does not read that and uploads the file to FS Planet. He had stated recently after a court case he was involved in that he would respect the authors wishes. In the past he has removed the file when I asked but now the emails bounce back. I guess too many complaints?Shez
  10. What is a good command/tool to slice a large bmp into smaller 512x512 pixels (for example) squares? I tried the PSP7 image slicer but it appears to be more for web design. I also have Photoshop 7.0.ThanksShez
  11. This begs the question, are we only talking the upper end of fps difference? i.e.with my AMD64 XP3000 1GB 9600SE I am on 26fps except in dense clouds and this will make me go to 30s even in clouds?Shez
  12. I just ordered an X800 Pro. Can you tell me why this is not a good choice? I am upgrading from a ATI 9600 and have been a big fan of ATI bec of the pic quality etc. I would really like to know about this choice because I can change it even now.Shez
  13. It is very clear if he is willing to look. Go to www.avsim.com.Look at the top of the page for File Library. Click it.In the search box (which is empty) type in 'Shehryar' or 'SNA2004'.Scroll down to find the seasonal fix for SNA2004....and if that does not work click on the link below http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=54179Shez
  14. The Captain is correct. Just delete PSP2stat.bgl and they will be gone.Shez
  15. Someone already sent me a revised AFCAD. I advised him to name it AF2_KPSP or similar and put it in the PSPscenery folder to make it work. This is different from the normal addon sceneryscenery folder. Please let me know if this works. Also, I think the comments on the exact gate assignments are great but can be addressed by individual AFCAD designers please, I also used the PSP website to determine it. If you still have issues I would be glad to amend my KPSPMAIN.bgl file.RegardsShez
  16. I did the AI traffic as is in real life at PSP (as per actual gate assignments) i.e. American, Horizon, Alaska, Northwest, etc. Also at the commuter terminal to the south side I am seeing commuter traffic from AmEagle, ContExpress, etc. That is real life at PSP.What are you guys seeing?Shez
  17. Well if you are talking about PSP the scenery was developed in four different programs (AFW, SGX, GMAX, G2K4). AFCAD was never used because SGX has the ability to do the entire AI traffic stuff within its own engine. If you want to manipulate the AFCAD then open KPSPMain.bgl and do your thing. Just save it as AF2_PSP.bgl.I agree maybe the G2K4 file should have been named LC*. Next time maybe though the next one is back to photoreal...RegardsShez
  18. Well I guess only a B777 pilot could tell you that. Just use it and see if it flies well. I think Mel has done his homework in trying to get it close. Happy flying.Shez
  19. Err...have you even searched the File Library??? :( There are a myriad of B777s there all based on the base MelJet model, which is excellent.Shez
