That's because P3D creates a directoy in your "Documents" folder. And at one point in time Windows (well actually the OneDrive app that starts automaticly in the background when you start your pc) asked you if you wanted to have backups of Pictures, Desktop and Documents.

So 2 possible ways to get rid of this come to my mind...
a) disable the backup of "Documents"
b) see if there's an option/tweak that you can do in one of P3D's config files to place that folder on another location. I don't own P3D anymore so I cannot test it here.

I was feeling bored lately with P3D and was looking for some catalyst to spice up my experience. And so, after many years of hesitating, I decided to buy myself TrackIR. I've experimented several times with facetracknoir, before buying the real stuff.

These shots were taken above Belgium with OpusFSX showing us the cooler September weather we're in right now (19°C today, while we had a heatwave last week with temps climbing above 30°C).

You should delete your shaders folder

type this in your Windows Start menu, and press enter.

%localappdata%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3

delete the Shader subfolder.

Come back if it didn't help.

Just horrible, that default moon... This HD Moon texture is copyright by Marco Fischbach!

Default moon texture is 64x64

Marco's moon texture is 512x512 or 1024x1024 or even 2048x2048 if you want. But the last 2 ones are overkill.

A note from his readme file:

Though it seems, that FSX uses only one of the 15 textures at ones,

FSX has to handle 15 textures, each are 1MB sized. If you think your

PC is overcharged with this, please use the smaller 1024x1024 or

512x512 version.

Look up his name in the avsim file library. Textures date from FSX era, but they apply to P3D as well (as you can see here above)

Painfull, but excellent...

Desk side and on site support engineer. Basicly, I'm the IT guy at your office that helps you when:

- your laptop is not powering up -> I push the power button as it should be.

- your laptop screen is broken -> I lie to your boss and tell him you did not drop it but a big pink elephant came running thrue the room.

- your Excel crashes when opening some sheets -> I explain you that a 100MB large hidden workbook is not going to help.

- your Outlook is not receiving mails -> I tell you that your password has expired and you refused to change it in the morning.

- your printjob is not coming out of the printer -> get rid of the paperjam by following the instructions that this very same printer is telling you to do.

- tell you your laptop is end of life and can be replaced -> yeah!!!

- wipe your laptop when you got fired -> Doh!

- make fun of the funny userid you got from LDAP

etc...
