  1. Where can I find a listing of the areas covered or specified by the global base scenery entries 0001 thru 1107? I may wish to not have certain entries load in the scenery cfg if I do not fly in that part of the world, for instance Asia. Thanks Dom
  2. This is a pleasant surprise. How good is this? I have been toying with it for a few hours, and note that you cannot create or export a flight plan as you could with FSNAV but perhaps this will come later, I did notice an anomaly and a work around with a flight plan created with FS Commander. After the FSC plan is saved, and attempts are made to load it in FSX via the flight planner, there occurs an error message indicating "type mismatch". I found that if you load the flight plan Bonn to Frankfurt and then save it for example as Bonn to Frankfurt2 then FSTramp will accept this format into the graphical map. I hope that great things are coming for this much needed successor to FSNAV. Dom
  3. I seem to be having layering issue after installing UTX Europe. I would like to ask if someone could comment on this FSX scenery config order as viewed in scenery.cfg using notebook: FSX default, scenery, terrain, base files..........Lowest priority as Area 1 thru 98 Then continuing with area 99 t0 120 Global, Generic & Vehicle Libraries Prop Objects FSX MyTraffic 2010 Addon Scenery FSX Eastern Europe FSX Western Europe FSX Western North America FSX (note that some default regions are omitted) Then UTX areas 106 to 118 UT Exclusions For Default Scenery UT Europe Lighting UT Landclass - Vegetation UT Landclass - Urban UT Landclass - Custom (Europe only) UT Europe Roads UT Europe Railroads UT Europe Water UT Europe Streams UT Europe Ground Polygons UT FSX Object Repositioning UT FSX Waterclass UT Europe Airports Followed by FS Global Ultimate - Europe and FS Global Ultimate - Local Meshes Area 119 & 120 Finally, all 3rd party payware such as Aerosoft and closing with Aerosoft AFD and AES base pack at the highest priority. I would appreciare any help Thanks Dom
  4. See the photo below positioned at default Seattle in FSX. Notice the surrounding black area etc. Can someone help with this? I am using only the defaul scenery and not using any terrain addon such as UTX. Thanks Dom
  5. Agree.... Off topic a bit, but can FSNav 4.70 be modified to work in FSX? Dom
  6. I have re-installed my FS2004 version of Wilco AIrbus Vol 1 (not 'Evolution') and now run under Win7 64 bit. I receive the following while exiting: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: fs9.exe Application Version: 9.1.0.40901 Application Timestamp: 4135a208 Fault Module Name: A320IAE_feelThere.GAU_unloaded Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 494bf768 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 2663755a OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 0a9e Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Additional Information 3: 0a9e Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 This anamoly did not occur under WinXP 32 bit. Does anyone have this same problem and if so, do you know of a fix or workaround. I suspect Wilco has no intention of publishing a fix for this. Quite frustrating. Dom
  7. Having migrated from Windows XP 32-bit to Windows 7 64-bit, I am noticing that there are many older dated files in the boot drive that seem be left over from the previous version of Windows XP. I performed the migration using instructions posted on the various forums, and did not do a clean reformat install of Win7. The result is a lot of locked files that I cannot gain access to (yes, I am in admin mode with UAC turned off), and other files referencing WinXP. Is there a utility out there to clean up the boot drive without resorting to a reformat of the drive and a clean re-install of Win7? Thaks Dom
  8. Thanks all for the replies. mgh: In what file is the /LARGEADDRESSAWARE option specified? I want to check my system. Dom
  9. I have searched and read through the older posts related to this topic and am still not clear about this topic. I am running on Windows 7 64 bit with 8gb of ram. My questions are: Is the 3GB switch necessary or just preferable for FS2004? Is this 3GB switch necessary or just preferable for FSX SP2? Are there clear and concise instructions for applying this switch and what is/are the link(s)? Cross posted in FSX forum also Thanks Dom
  10. Mel and Ronzie, I have tried all suggestions with no luck. The bmp "global" illustrates the default Cessna C182 panel as it opens. The bmp "main panel" illustrates the default Cessna C182 panel with global on and main panels checked. I have been at this all day and am ready to just re-install FS9. Regarding the panel folders of the aircraft, I even deleted the references to the virtual cockpit and had the sam result as you see. Would you say that the install is corrupted at this point beyond repair? Dom
  11. Hi Mel and thanks for the response. This is happening with all aircraft. All else outside scenery, AI etc appear normal when cycling the views. I cannot select the instrument panel global view on and have it remain checked. If I open a new view window, for example spot view or cockpit view, then I am able to check the global view and the 2d panel will display in the main window. Close the new view window, and the 2d panel disappears and reverts back. BTW, i neglected to mention I am on Windows 7 64 bit. I also have FSX installed on a separate drive and that displays correctly. I initially thought that there was some sort of conflict but that does not seem to be the dase. Looking forward to any more help, Dom
  12. A new behavior has occured in that the default 2D panel view of the Cessna does not load properly. What does load is a greyish blob representative of a virtual cockpit view as if you were looking above. Attempts to toggle the global view do not work as the screen flickers back to the virtual view without the panel. I have extracted the files from the FS2004 install disks 1 and 2 and copied back into my FS folder where applicable as well as copying the gauges back into the gauges folder. I deleted my FS9.cfg file and let the sim rebuild it, but with no joy. Short of reinstalling FS2004, is there another workaround or perhaps something I am overlooking? All was well earlier in the week when last used, and no changes, additions or deletions were made to the sim. Thanks Dom
  13. Would it be preferable to install FSX on a drive other than the drive that FS9 is installed or does it matter? The drives are not the boot "C" drive but 2nd and third internal drives. Thanks Dom
  14. Can someone offer an objective analysis of my current system specs and advise me if this sufficient to run FSX? 15. All of my PA models and repaints for FS2004 are versions which are not v2.1.If I install the base pack v2.1 models, can the older repaints not designated v2.1 be used? I have quite a fleet that I don'twhich to mothball.ThanksDom
  16. Thank you all for this discussion and to JD for the reply to my log submission. I will get his yet!!Dom
  17. Has anyone executed a successful ILS vectored approach and landing to this airport? I have tried 3 flights Istanbul-Antalya using RC4 to no avail. I receive instructions to prepare for vectors and then nothing afterward, I wind up about 30-40 miles over the sea.The ILS designators and frequencies in Navagraph conform to those in the Afcad. 19. Yes I have, thanks. If you look at the image from FSNav. you will see the freeware scenery afcad of Project LKPR X - ver 080605 sitting atop AP951140.bgl which contains LKPR and the two runways I wish to delete. Can this be done?ThanksDom
  20. I did but it did not resolve the problem. As I tried to explain, the afcad in the freeware scenery Project LKPR X - ver 080605 has the correct runways and do not include the two obsolete runways to which I refer. The two obsolete runways resided in the default stock airport in AP951140. It is these two runways which I want to remove so that they do not appear when viewed in FSNavigator. If this not possible, then I will have to accept this and move on. Perhaps I can figure out how to put an exclude in the Project LKPR X - ver 080605 to block out those adjacent areas.Any and all suggestions are appreciated.Dom
  21. The runways which are showing thru and which I am seeking to delete reside in the AP951140.bgl file, not in the Project LKPR X - ver 080605 scenery. Are you suggesting that the AP951140.bgl file cannot be edited to delete out those two obsolete runways without destroying all other airports within AP951140.bgl?Thanks for staying with me on this topicDom
  22. Thanks for your reply which was most helpful. I would like to review the steps i am taking to resolve my dilemma. As per your suggestion, I utilized ADE to call the AP951140.bgl and selected the Czech LKPR airport.Once loaded, I proceeded to DELETE the two old offending runways and then recompiled the file and saved it back as AP951140.bgl in the sceneryeurw folder (I previously made a backup copy of the original file in the event I made an error). So now I see the Prague scenery Project LKPR X - ver 080605 scenery displayed in FSNavigator on top of the stock airport in AP951140.bgl displaying properly. However, I suspect that I have lost all other airports which may have been incorporated within AP951140.bgl.If so, how do I get those airports back and still have the LKPR modified airport? I guess I "want my cake and eat it too". I read thru the ADE tutorials but did not see this topic covered.Any other help you or others can offer will be appreciated.ThanksDom
