  1. I think I have those ITVV DVDs somewhere in a drawer and I need to watch them. I understand the reason and effect of fuel transfer. What is complicated is how NOT to mess-up all those INLET / OUTLET/ JETTISON etc pump coordinated operation in order to have the desired result. Thanks for the replies. I don't have Concorde X as yet, that's why I'm asking.
  2. Great ! Excellent !! It needed to be a long video. Being shorter it would not contain the information needed. You did what FSLabs didn't do !!!! I would suggest a Concorde Fuel tank management tutorial - on PDF, on video - I don't care. Tank management complexity - and lack of information on it - (FS2004 SSTSIM) - made me to abandon the SSTSIM Concorde. I hope Concorde X of FSLabs has better manuals. Thanks!
  3. Higher altitude = less dense air -> higher fuel/ratio than sea level -> you engine is 'coughing' with fuel. Do not use auto-mixture Pull the Fuel mixture control out halfway and then try again, then 'play' with the mixture control, you will find the point where engine maintains idle, At least in the default Cessna the trick works. Edit: I didn't read the initial post entirely si I explained what you already said. I have no idea why is this happening.... See if this happens in the default Cessna.
  4. Yes, in my 4.6 and 4.8 OC I use the values per XMP profile in BIOS but manually set, as Ai Overclock Tunes needs to put in Manual in order to OC the CPU.
  5. I know that FSX is not 'torturing' CPU that much as Prime, or IBT. The 12 or 14 hours equates to a Long Haul flight performed with a B777, MD11 or a B744. On the other hand I could reduce my VCore, install PMDG MD11X and B747X and let them fly for 12 hours - unless BSOD would come first!- in circles at 4000ft with clouds (ala FSmark11) . The reason I keep my FSX SP2 installation 'clean', - no addons - is that I want to run FSXMark11 and share some results.
  6. I have read some guides provided - were very helpful indeed - and reached a 'relatively stable' 4.6Ghz @ 1360Vcore overclock. You can see bios settings, prime95 options and CPU-z shots here. RAM timing are by manufacturer GSKILL ARES F3-1866C9D-8GAB 33mm height, 9-10-9-28 2N I say relatively because, I had a plan to run prime95 with 'In-place-FFT' option for 12 to 14 hours. After about 4 hours Worker 4 in prime95 stopped working because of a rounding error. I didn't noticed and I discovered it after 10 hours. All other workers (1,2 and 3) were still running. I consider 1) increasing vcore to 1.365, or 2) leave vcore at 1.360 and set CPU Load line calibration from current HIGH=50% to VERYHIGH=75% and rerun prime95 with same setting or IBT with high amounf of memory (4096KB) for 12-14 hours
  7. No Problems with GSKILL ARES F3-1866C9D-8GAB 33mm height, 9-10-9-28 2N timings on ASUS P8Z77-V LE PLUS so far. Memory sticks fit bellow Noctua NH-D14 and XMP profile is recognized in BIOS.
  8. Gentlemen, Thanks for your comments and assistance. I will try your recommendations and I will give feedback. .
  9. Hello to all I/m trying to overclock the following system: SB 2700K NOCTUA NH-D14 2x4GiB GSkill Ares 1866 9-10-9-28 (currently @ 1600 11-11-11-28 while CPU OC tests) ASUSP8Z77-V LE PLUS I consider that system is stable @4.2Ghz - Vcore 1.280 with Prime95 for 14 hours. 1 click more at 4.3Ghz and BIOS Vcore 1.300 I still have Prime95 failing in less than 1 hour I find Vcore 1.300 @ 4.3 a bit high You can see my BIOS settings screenshots , realtemp and CPUz in Windows here (while Prime95) If you have any Ideas to help you 're welcome. P.S.: I know that FSX is not stressign CPU that much.
  10. Thank you very much. Nice documentary. Nostalgic feelings/memories.
  11. First time I hear (read) about this aircraft. I'm trying to imagine how those engines would sound.... Lots of great jet noise I imagine! Thanks for the heads up !
  12. I have a TrackIR4. Rarely in use; only when I want make visual approach videos.
  13. You deserve a big 'thank you' from all of us [flight simmers]. Waiting for the 777 and 747v2
  14. Great shots! Where did you find the repaint ?
  15. FlightSim Developers' (ex-FSD International) Piper Sceneca V. Erratic flightmodel in some cases CS 727 (FS2002 version) - I was 'tricked' like many others.... I have some products that aren't top notch, but I bought them while 'on sale' and while I was aware what expectations to have.
  16. 2x4GB RAM @1866 (almost no 2x4GB QLV above 1866) compatibility with ASUS P8Z77-V LE PLUS, I found out that: According to ASUS QLV I may use: 1. G.SKILL F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL(XMP) 8GB(2 x 4GB) DS - - 9-10-9-28 1.5V ● ● ● 2. G.SKILL F3-14900CL9Q-8GBXL(XMP) 8GB(2GBx4) DS - - 9-9-9-24 1.6V ● ● ● 3. KINGSTON KHX1866C11D3P1K2/8G 8GB ( 4GB x 2) DS - - - 1.5V ● ● ● Looking at GSKILL site, F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL is RipjawsX with 9-10-9-28 2N timings, ASUS P8Z77-V PRO/DELUXE compatibility and a height of 40mm which barely fit under a NH-D14 (44mm clearance). The only low profile GSKILL memory similar to that just mentioned is ARES F3-1866C9D-8GAB with only 33mm height, 9-10-9-28 2N timings and ASUS P8Z77-V PRO/DELUXE compatibility. Looks like RipjawsX repackaged, renamed and re-branded as low profile, so I'm on the safe side - I hope my reasoning is correct. Well, there is also Kingston 2x4GB 1866 KHX1866C11D3P1K2/8G with DDR3-1866 CL11-11-11 9-10-9
  17. Ben, GSkill 'Ares' series isn't the same in low profile package ? In case someone wants to avoid water-colling and use a Noctua nh-d14 ?
  18. Stephen Thank you! I will look at the demo once again. Regards Sam
  19. I 'catch' the opportunity to ask, since you are talking about: or 1) WX engine, 2) Textures and 3) cameras presets and effects . I'm coming from FS9 and activecamera, so for FSX I'm looking for: 1) WX Engine - Opus looks promising 2) Thanks for the Free HDE suggestion (you save me an OPUS x 2 cost) 3) a. Cameras presets + b. Ground Roll Shake + 3.Inertial (head) movement active camera does a+b+c, opus does (to my understanding) /a/+/c/. If you add /b/ makes rolling great I find demo time of 10 minutes too short. I need 10 minutes what view (VC) I want and running against time to make some view presets. didn;t help me to validate the software. Thanks for the freeware texture suggesions Good to have panning keys - are there xyz axis traslational movement keys ? If i'm correct OPUS has head movement. if you add ground roll it is what make roliing on rwy great. Good to have configurations Thanks for your time Sam
  20. I would prefer a bunch of keys in array, say: 3x3 5x2 7x4. I would assign LSK keys of an FMC, some MCP buttons (N1, FLCH, VNAV, .. you name it), MCP u/p down knobs as 2 buttons, and some other functions. I could do the same with a Laptop, FSUIPC, WideServer and some fsuipc script programming, but I need something symmetrical.
