  1. >Why are the objects behine the transparent image, invisable as well?Cause that's what happens with DXT3s transparencies. Use DXT1s with alpha.http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gif
  2. Looking good Bob, thanks for the scenery. I especially like the hydro wires.http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gif
  3. We also have loads of Canadian data and links, whenever you need them. http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gif
  4. Where do you live? How big an area do you want to cover?Hope you have lots of money if you don't live in the US. http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gif
  5. Not only on the forum but through emails and chats. He's always there to help.http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gif
  6. Takes some tweaking, but once tweaked, it's great for doing circuits.I have it set up for very little play on the vertical axis.I can't believe that more people haven't tried it.http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gif
  7. Once again Arno, thank you.http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gif
  8. Is there a way to make a model only show up in a certain season and not in another? Don't want a sailboat in the winter.http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gif
  9. When I say remove the wigwags and litehouse models I mean to create a non animated model of each using the same filename. The Mac version doesn't like animated models.http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gif
  10. It's been so long. If you remove the wigwaga, litehouse models and make sure all the same model filenames are in both the Toronto and Niagara scenery I think it will work.Something along that line. As I say, it's been awhile. http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gif
  11. You have been asking about a Mac fix for the Toronto scenery we did for Fly 2K. We never accomplished a true fix for the Mac. Sorry!http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gif
  12. I can't believe how this utility has passed under so many of our noses. If you fly in Virtual Cockpit and like ActiveCam, you will love Cam2Pan.http://www.mousevision.com/I'll admit it took me some system reinstalling before I could get it to work as well as quite some time tweaking it.Just wondering if anyone has found any worthwhile setup tips, etc?http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gif
  13. I have yet to get Cam2Pan to find my Logitech Express.Can2Pan uses a VFW interface to find the camera. According to my reading, this interface doesn't exist anymore.I would really like to try the thing out but I am unable to.http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gif
  14. Yes, that is Terrascene. I did a test demo over a year ago to show just what one could do with Fly II. It is found in the AVSIM library. Then FS2002 came out and we took a stab at doing scenery for that. http://ftp.avsim.com/library/esearch.php?D...4%20&CatID=RootThere are sorts of tricks that can be done with FlyII's water. Check the Terrascene archives about a year ago.http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gif
  15. Nothing touches FlyII's water. Best there is. http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/fog3.jpghttp://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gif
  16. I only wish. That and horrible looking water. http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gifhttp://members.rogers.com/jkanold/flyurl.gif
  17. If I remeber correctly, the beta version of FS2002 had this effect. It wasn't quite up to snuff, close but no cigar. It was removed on going Gold. http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gifhttp://members.rogers.com/jkanold/flyurl.gif
  18. Thanks Arno,Found it. Along with Bob's help and your tutorial I can now do some testing.http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gifhttp://members.rogers.com/jkanold/flyurl.gif
  19. Boy oh boy, some people really read into things.I wanted to confirm that Gmax macros were the same as placing GMAX models directly. If they are, I may change my mind and simply use a 3rd party program to draw in the runways and excludes and then place all the GMAX macros. It sure would be easier.Sorry to catch you on fire.http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gifhttp://members.rogers.com/jkanold/flyurl.gif
  20. >"Whoever told you that macros are framekillers? That's bogus." You stick in a single macro made by any third party program other than Gmax into a scenery and it will bring it to it's knees. It has something to do with the floating point method.Even third party airport layout programs kill framerates cause they don't work with this floating point method. In our next scenery project, EVERYTHING will be done in GMAX.There have been numberous tests on this very forum comparing a GMAX macro to that of any other type. Virtually no frame rate hit with a GMAX macro.I do appreciate your help and will attempt to make my first macro tonight when I get home from work. http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gifhttp://members.rogers.com/jkanold/flyurl.gif
  21. Bob,OK, I followed most of that. But if I create an API why would I need another bgl? Or any bgl for that matter?I already had one created when Makemdl made the ASMs.Since I have never used an API or Macro, because they are frame rate killers, I still am a little confused.http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gifhttp://members.rogers.com/jkanold/flyurl.gif
  22. I assume you start with a model .asm. Take it from there........ http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gifhttp://members.rogers.com/jkanold/flyurl.gif
  23. Now that I am done with our first scenery for FS, I am now trying to comprehend FSREGEN.It's totally greek to me.How do I change a GMAX model into an api using FSREGEN, so that it behaves as a Gmax bgl with a little frame rate hit in FSArchitech or any othe 3rd party program?Step by step please? I'm old............http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gifhttp://members.rogers.com/jkanold/flyurl.gif
  24. Kewl http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gifhttp://members.rogers.com/jkanold/flyurl.gif
  25. Thanks Rob, worked like a charm. http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gifhttp://members.rogers.com/jkanold/flyurl.gif
