  1. Sorry guys, between the discussion above and the redesign of 2.6.3, I'm still confused. So, with my Saitek Cessna yoke and Throttle-Quad, the three position mode switch (left=btn 23, center=btn-24, and right=btn-25), is it now possible to shift both the yoke and the throttle-quad buttons as a complete set via the mode button? Can I have three sets of buttons, btn23=unshifted (my default mode), 24=shifted1, and 25=shifted2 somehow? How does the bottom-right checkbox "shift all devices globally" play into the equation? I did look around for some updated notes on the subject to no avail, so far. Thanks in advance...
  2. Kyle, do you know if the T7 advance style of acceleration is in the sp1d beta (slows-down for waypoints and turbulence)? Thanks,
  3. Hi Bryan, I was wondering if the above command request, to enable or disable both the GPU and Air-cart, made into v1.2? I don't see it mentioned in the online-manual. enable voice to (dis)connect both the gpu and air-cart in one request (sentence) like the 737NGX. Thanks...
  4. As the capt. said in his OP, the full installer SP1D is v1.10.6320. This version number is stated at the top of the readme.txt file included within the zip that you download from the PMDG website - yes, you have to login and look at your previous orders. It is SP1D and should work with both FSX:MS and FSX:SE. If in doubt, check the version number at the top of the readme.
  5. As far as I know and it's been said here plenty of times over the years, all PMDG full-installers are immediately updated when service packs (updates) are released. So the full-installers now available in your PMDG account details page, are the same as your previously download installers and updaters. If in doubt, check the version number at the top of each readme.txt file included within all their download zips.
  6. SP1d (full installer only) is only available from the 'previous orders' page on the PMDG website. You need to read the death of the Extended Download Service (EDS) sticky posted last night as well. You only need SP1d (full installer) for compatibility for FSX:SE, it's not any different than SP1C for FSX:MS.
  7. Please realize guys, PFPX is a flight-planning tool, meaning in the end, its purpose is to evaluate in-flight performance, fuel-burn, and trip data. We can very quickly 'Send To' (TopCat) all the planned information to get Takeoff and Landing performance calculations and other airport-factors; they're two very different tools that are well linked via the 'Send To' (TopCat) button. You don't have to create a separate PFPX or TopCat profile for each livery, I only have one for each model - see my link below; it's the NGX, but the idea is the same for the T7 layout and linking of aircraft registrations between the two programs. Please also realize, PFPX and TopCat 'Profiles' are readily available. The TopCat peformance data for aircraft is not as abundant. TopCat 2.74 beta 1 has the PMDG T7 takeoff data mostly there but the landing performance data is pretty weak. You can use the TopCat 772 performance profile for the PMDG 773, but it's slightly off as well. TopCat + PFPX + 737NGX / Weights (How To) Post # 68 (page 5). http://forum.avsim.net/topic/417842-topcat-pfpx-737ngx-weights-how-to/page-5#entry3062467
  8. Don't use TopCat to automatically change the weights of any PMDG bird, but the TopCat PMDG 777 TO performance calculations are still good. Landing calculations are not up to par yet in the current beta version of the TopCat PMDG 777 performance file; we've been waiting ages for the TopCat devs to finalize it. Obtaining the TO and LNDG performance data for inclusion in the OFP is optional (sometimes I include it, but most times I don't). I always use the 'Send To' (TopCat) feature for not only the TO performance data, updated with ASN data, but I use the payload layout functionality and total fuel information to manually update the payload and fuel in my PMDG FMC options as one of my first duties after initializing the aircraft in a FSX session.
  9. Hi all, I just upgraded from 2.0 to 2.5.7 and trying to figure out the new (and very cool) un-shifted, shifted-1, and shifted-2 keys in Linda. These sound perfect for my Saitek yoke which has a three-position modal switch. I'm trying to make all the buttons on both the yoke and the Saitek throttle-quad to be three independent complete sets of buttons, depending on the position of the modal switch. But I can't figure-out the logic and placement of the 'shifted keys'. The yoke's modal switch shows up as: switch left - button 22 switch center - button 23 switch right - button 24 Editing the default FSX profile so the modal switch works with all profiles, I tried assigning the following to all three shifted pages (to no avail): Button 22 On Press - unshifted Repeat - unshifted Button 23 On Press - shifted-1 Repeat - shifted-1 Button 24 On Press - shifted-2 Repeat - shifted-2 Does anyone know how to make this work for all the yoke and throttle-quad buttons? If I understand the manual correctly, Is this considered 'Global' mode? Thanks in advance.
  10. How about a CFG option for the CFG button? LOL, sorry, I just really couldn't resist!
  11. Hi Bryan, I would like to request in a future FS2Crew update (as well as for all future FS2Crew panels), to please reset the CFG scroll menu (back to the beginning) when we close the FS2Crew panel; either by button assignment or by the mouse control in the upper right corner of the panel. It has become a nuisance to change the voices (US, UK, EUR, etc.) at the beginning of the CFG (scroll) options, and have to keep clicking CFG until your back at the beginning (which is very easily missed if you're punching the CFG button too fast). The longer the list of menu options in the CFG scroll becomes, the less I like the current (CFG) menu layout. Just friendly customer feedback...
  12. I just noticed this today. Thanks Bryan, for working it into v1.2.
  13. I'm pretty sure I noticed the same results recently - using latest v1.1.
  14. Ah, very informative. After all these years, I'm not sure I knew that...
  15. Interesting... I believed that because the accumulator was just above the low orange-area without hydraulics pressurized, that this was not enough. In other words, parking brakes should be set when the accumulator is in the normal operating range (mid-scale).
  16. I kind of agree - I haven't seen the FO do much with his EFIS panel (but I haven't been paying close attention to it yet, either). Does he turn on traffic display for his ND, for example? Does he set a specific ND Range at various stages of flight? Some other thoughts I have for v1.2 and beyond. Must set a comm panel or overhead switch (something) before communicating with the ground crew is successful enable voice to (dis)connect both the gpu and air-cart in one request (sentence) like the 737NGX. change flow (maybe just documentation) to when parking brake is set. How can we set parking brake if hydraulics are not on yet? remember approach briefing panel settings across FS sessions. I think departure panel is remembered, but not the approach panel. option for FO to set runway turn-off lights for just takeoff/landing flow or for taxi as well (as currently implemented).
  17. Hi Bryan, From the 1.1 release notes you indicated both the Lock and Headset buttons would now be remember between FS sessions. For me, the state of the Lock button is being remembered (always off), but not the Headset button; I still have to turn it on for each flight.
  18. Very nicely done. Thanks! These block-layouts in PDF-form are very easy to read and just enough to jog the memory of 'what-comes-next'.
  19. Read the intro's and manual. Some operators get this option by design. Check the options in the OC for specifics to a livery.

    Taxi Thrust

Cool; glad it helped and you got it sorted.

You might want to check your brakes/toe-brakes calibrations if it's affecting all of your aircraft. Particular attention to the fully-released low reference point. If using pedals for toe brakes these normally need to have 'reverse axis' applied as well. Just a thought...
  22. Bryan, Any chance you can make the panel remember the Headset and Lock button status across FS sessions? Perhaps even add config items "Remember Headset Button" and "Remember Lock Button" so we chose how it works across sessions?
