  1. Guess I'll be sticking with Navigraph. Sounds like we will be at least halfway through each data cycle before it is installed in the sim. I wish the moderator had picked up on that and asked why they couldn't just incorporate it automatically when they receive it from NavBlue.
  2. I heard them talk about fixing airports, but they seemed to ignore the question about using accurate taxiway names and having better signage.
  3. Which version is that? I'm using V0.3.1, and it's absolutely unbroken.
  4. No, they haven't changed the flight characteristics....yet
  5. A320 LNAV worked fine for me. Also, with Navigraph nav data, I was able to fly an RNAV approach into KGEG that was assigned while en route.
  6. No, you don't have to clear out the community folder to download and install content. But you will have to remove the A320 mod (and any other similar airplane mods) before you try to fly the A320. That mod no longer works. Flybywiresim are working on an update.
  7. Why is that? Asobo have updated the base sim. If this unofficial mod used something in the base sim that was changed, then it is up to the modders to adapt the mod, not the other way around!
  8. There is now an option for that as well as muting the music entirely in the sound options menu. At least I think that is a new option.
  9. I don't have a Japan download that I can close out of. Buy and download options are grayed out.
  10. No, MSFS is just reading what you have installed in your Community folder. Nothing more.
  11. The flybywiresim A320 mod is not available through the marketplace.
  12. It's just showing what you have installed in your Community folder.
  13. Japan update not in Marketplace yet. Returns an error when you try to get it.
  14. No need for that. It doesn't affect the Community folder. Just empty or confirm they still work before trying to use them.
  15. The message says "The brand new Japan-specific content is available as a free download in the Marketplace. Be sure to check it ou!"
  16. No, not yet. Still downloading the update...
  17. Japan pack must be downloaded separately free from the marketplace according to the message that comes up when installing.
  18. Wow, that's amazing! Speed is 20 knots low and decreasing as you climb with a selected altitude below your current altitude. I haven't had that happen. Did you watch and see if it would correct itself, or did intervene?
  19. Not sure what "keep founding this kind of software" means. In any case, I agree with your previous message that this less than even minor bug is the very least of my concerns. I'm also normally a VATSIM flyer, so I couldn't care less about this issue. But even in the case where I would use the MSFS ATC, since it automatically switches you to the correct frequency in the ATC window, I also couldn't care less about what frequency shows in the radio display. I don't recall the FSX A321 having anything more than the default FSX autopilot, let alone an FMC (even one that is not fully functional), high AOA envelope protection, bank angle protection, managed/selected nav and altitude modes, etc. etc. You will get nowhere fast trying to present the FSX A321 as being more complete, bug-free, or realistic than the MSFS one. While I would like to see more functionality and features included (e.g, VNAV), I don't expect expect an FSLABS A-320 level sim in this default airplane.
  20. As one of those "diehard IFR/instrument/procedure/airliner guys," I had to laugh at this. It's so nearly true! By the time i have a chance to look around after takeoff, re-configuring, talking to ATC, etc., I've usually missed a lot of the good views. I've also been finding myself doing a lot more VFR GA flying, though I still do the IFR stuff as well.
  21. The fact that the MSFS ATC doesn't change the frequency shown on the radio display is a game breaker for you? Why not just change it manually before you use the ATC window to change frequencies if it so important to have the correct frequency showing on the radio?
  22. If you want to ask Asobo if they will be fixing this by improving the realism of icing depictions in the sim, vote here: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/fix-icing-bugs-improve-realism-and-increase-functionality/281536
  23. Yes, it has been a little over a month since MSFS was released, and they still haven't fixed the nav data issue! Horrors! Obviously, it will never be fixed!! Of course, if you sign up for the Navigraph beta, like I did, you can have the current cycle data now. There are still some issues in that MSFS currently requires all approaches to be connected to a runway, but I'm willing to patiently wait for them it fix this.
