  1. Well, my motherboard has a graca onboard and so I use that ablility of the i7 CPU. So, one monitor is driven by the "old" nvidia and the small monitor is by the mainboard. It has not much to do, cause I run FSX in full resolution on the 32" TFT.

     

    So now, I got a very good motherboard, CPU, RAM, SSD as main drive, own HDD for teh FSX, but a rather old graca.  Is it because of the graca that I cant get my fsx stable at 30fps even at aerosoft heathrow or eddf with active sky evolution, rex and realistic ai traffic and rain at sunset, flying with pmdg??? FSX is old by now and still I cant get a good smooth experience without OC, using Water cooling, over 4.5GHz?

     

    My i7 is without TH, FSX uses all 4 cores, all drivers are up to date and even my graca is OC shy to its limit.  I aint got 140 bugs for a new decent graphiccard this month, maybe next month...

    I got a very fast motherboard, 8GB RAM, i7-3770K 4core at 4.1GHz... you can see it in my signature...

     

    But still I get only about 20 to max 30 FPS and very low in sceneries like KBOS or KJFK or EDDH (all bought addon sceneries) flying with A2A C172.

     

    Why do I get so low FPS?

     

    Should I not be able to push the FSX settings to max with my hardware?

    Seeing a different cockpit as the 737NG while the case is about that a/c is like expecting a special sound together with a picture, but you get something completely different. It confuses me.

     

    A mockup instead of spending some money filming in a full motion sim for that... well...

    I only got the german title of this docu series on National Geo.

     

    So, so often I see videos of the wrong cockpit or even the wrong typ of aircraft.

     

    Like what I see right now: A B737-800 crashes while approaching Amsterdam Schipol, 25. Feb 2009

     

    They show a Cockpit of a MD11 or alike with 3 pilots messing around. WHY??? Do they think all who are watching do not know all about aviation?  Why do they not make a desent docu, showing the correct details???

Call me stupid, but Pilots working for Airlines in Germany are bound to the worklaw about how Long they are allowed to work at max. 10 hrs /da, having 30min break between 6 and 9 hrs of work, having 45min break after 9 hrs work and having to have 11 hrs between the last and the next working Periode. Working 10 hours / day, 6 days straight, has to end after 6 month in such a way that free time has to be given, so the average of 8 hrs / day is  back in place. 

     

    The Point is that any Pilots working hours are documented and he got to write a logbook about it. So, if someone tells him to work more, do flights of 12 hrs from entering the prep-office, entering the plane, 'till he leaves the plane at the Destination at the end of his shift, he knows to break a law. So he has the right to tell his Company that he refuses such long shifts. Every Pilot should have a law insurance, so he can take a lawyer and go to court with that case, if his Company fires him of not working more than 10 hrs.

     

    It is simple, no Money can pay death. If the Pilot makes Errors which leads to the death of any or all his passengers, and it was because of overworked and sleeping, what will the Family and friends do about it with the Airline? What will the court do with the Airline which ordered and forced his Pilot to work too much and working against the law?

     

    What is more importante, the more Money I would get from my Airline and or just not getting fired and having good Money to spent for Luxus and a big house and big car etc. or the responseability I got for the passengers safety?  Endangering the safety? I would not do so, rather getting fired and starting a court case against too many hours of work!

    I got the problem that when I fly in Germany, I got a blurry scenery about all over the place, when I use time excelleration like 2x.

     

    When flying with Feelthere B737, my computer seems to be soo bussy with the scenery that computing the aircraft gets hard and I get sudden bank angle warning and sudden movements.

     

    I got a pretty decent computer, as you can see in my signature...

     

    And see the screenshot please.

     

    What do you need to know about my FS9.cfg or anything else, so you'r able to help me here to improof my FS9 experience?

  7. Hi,

     

    I tried to fly from DAAG to somewhere far east. The flightplan goes over creek from west to east.

     

    I got no addon airports active in that area at all!

     

    Still, as soon as I fly into the country area of creek, I get a CTD with an ntdll.dll error!

     

    I have some addon sceneries of creek, those GAP sceneries, thought one or all of them had an issue. So I deactivated them, first all and tried just one active - no matter which one I got active or if I got them all deactivated, I get this CTD!

     

    I can fly with the same airplane or any other a/c anywhere else with sooo many addon sceneries without this CTD.

     

    What is the issue about creek? na, please FS9 has nothing to do with their economy! ;-)

    That'll cost today 483€!!

     

    My Graphiccard I already got is ok and I see no reason for a better one, any one better is a real lot more exprensive!

     

    But I know, when I start having fun with my FS, she wanna sit in the same room with me at her own PC gaming Diablo3 or alike. So, ah we would have to spent money for her new computer as well. That'll make it up to 1000€!!!

     

    No, better we spent that money for a new couch and she dreams about a kindl and a vacation with me in scotland or ireland...


  9. very faszinating! Well, I aint got 400€ loos in my hand. But with about straight 60% all sliders to the right, I run FSX at EDDH with the latest Aerosoft Scenery of EDDH at the ground with about 15 to 20 FPS and when airborn, I fly with about 40 to 50 FPS with a FT A320.

     

    That was just tested after updating drivers and throwing in some tweaks I found.

     

    Flying FS9 is a pure joy with my rig. And for FS9 I got the most addons someone can get for money.

     

    So, if I have the option to spent about 400€ sometime in the future, I will go for a i7 or whatever is up-to-date then. But for now I am quite happy with what I got. See, I aint have so much spare time to fly for hours and enjoying what I already got. So for 400€ I can buy things I have even more joy with and enjoying it together with my wife. Life has been different before 2009 when I married my wife... now we rather spending time together than that I am lost at my PC for hours.

     

    But anyway, thanx for explaining to me why a Intel based setup may be better than AMD.


  10. I run FSX happily on a quad-core Phenom II Athlon. I never bought into the Intel hype; for what they charge for the "premium of Intel" I can do better and purchase better and more RAM, video, etc.My specs are all below in signature.

     

    How did you tweak your FSX and your PC? I got about near the same specs as you, but I got a FSX-Slideshow when I try to run it with some nice settings, not the nowest and not the maxed.

     

    It is kind of chaotic finding the right tweaks here...

    need your help folks!

     

    AMD Phenom II X4 AM3 970 BE (3.5GHz) OC 3.8GHz is what I got, the rest is in my signature!

     

    Why do I have a FSX Slideshow still, while using such a nice CPU and nice not too old hardware?

     

    Does it really matters upgrading to a AM3 board with DDR3 from my current DDR2 supporting mobo?

     

    Cant I go nice with FSX without a nother upgrade?

     

    If someone here has some nice tipp and ideas, I'd be very thankfull!


  12. Oh well, this topic is redic, because as I understand JD and all the Beta-Team members are working at V5 in their spare time as a hobby. They all have jobs and duties and family. It would be a different storry if they would do it for a living. But How many FS-Devs can do that? How big is the market for that? Is it growing, so the money coming in from all the sold copies can give them a good living? I do not think so. Otherwise we would see alot more great 3rd Addons in the online and offline shops for FS9/FS-X, right?

     

    As I would love to read some positive news from JD, I respect him for taking his time to do it perfect. Otherwise he would have to work at patches without getting money out of that work. He wanna get that money from one big shot release and than enjoy the incoming money for that loong and many hours of hard work, actualy work he put in, not messured the total time it needs, but the real time he put into this hobby project!


  13. Hi,I wonder if Fs2Crew MD11 FS9 can handle emergencies occuring / initiated by FSPassenger use for every flight. I set the chance to 5%, sometimes I set it up to 10% for every flight. Nothing happens for most of my flights, but something can happen anytime. So, does FS2Crew handle problems or do I have to take all controle about any emergencies?


  14. it may be a breach of rules, but it shows quite well that only with soviet equippment all fatal crashes and most of the not lethal ones have happend.What is not as public is, how many critical situations have been solved in air in cruze by LOT pilots with modern aircrafts, compared to other airlines.I'd love to find and read those stories more.


  15. Hi,ich fliege doch gerne mal im Urlaub längere Strecken. KLAX-EDM z.B. fast 12 std. Flug.Dazu nehme ich Feelthere A340-600 oder PMDG B744 in FS9.Da ich für den FS9 so ziemlich ALLE US und auch Europäische Szenerien habe, ist meine Scenery Liste sehr lang.Auch Landclass und diese Geo Erweiterungen, so das USA und Europa sehr exakt und naturgetreu aussieht.So, in USA KLAX losgeflogen, kein Problem. Bis ich dann drüben ankomme über UK. Ab hier an singt meine Framerates enorm, von vorher ca. 15 bis 25 bei Timespeed 4x, runter auf nur noch 6 bis 8 frames und knapp über 10 bei timespeed 2x.Ich frage mich woran das liegt! Genug gute Hardware habe ich, genug RAM sowieso. Was ist so anders wenn man in Deutschland sehr viele Scenerien installiert hat, gegenüber USA? Und warum crashed mein FS9 einfach so mit einem Fehlerhinweis auf g3d kurz vor EDDM?


  16. Yep, some of the pax where asking if they already landed, others thought they have normaly with gears. Just some knew and have been very scared and went out in panic.Fantastic job that the pilots have been able to do a belly landing by the book like they have trained in simulator many times.Now the investigations will be on the go how it could happen that all of the gear did not came out! But better so than if only say the left and front would have... to land with such an situation i mostly inpossible without much big damage.
