  1. I've noticed it happening right before ATC transmissions, early on in the flight.
  2. That actually had me laughing out loud! "Elephant Invasion" and in London Heathrow, no less...
  3. I removed all mods and still have the issue with the flight not loading. The progress bar gets all the way to the right but the flight won't load. I've left it running for over an hour and no cigar.
  4. I thought of another one, which is probably the most worthless item for a flight sim but for me, it was how I naturally ended almost all flights. Once the airplane was shut down, I opened the cockpit door(s) and baggage door, as if I was actually exiting the plane. Corny, I know.
  5. Thank you for all of the hard work involved in providing the community with a priceless gift (for free!).
  6. World of AI is a biggie for me. Airports filled with realistic airliners and flights. I think that's the #1 thing for me. I also miss EditVoicePack, BayTower RV7, GSX, Real Air Lancair...
  7. I just found this thread and want to thank all of you doing the detective work. That HUGE sign was driving me nuts every time I flew in and out of Nassau. I figured it was possibly due to the nice scenery sets from "Goldenred49" that I had installed.
  8. I was an early adopter of the FSDT Key West scenery. I believe the initial thread announcing the scenery was posted here at AVSIM. I made a little post saying that it would have been nice if they had included the Fort Jefferson / Dry Tortugas National Park, found further west of Key West. Within a couple of weeks, if not less, FSDT offered a free update to their Key West scenery that now included it. They won me over as a fan and customer, right there. I've got several hundred dollars invested in Orbx products for FSX and MSFS and love how they improved FSX over the years. I just saw the video comparing the two but I don't think that differences in FPS were mentioned. That may be something to consider, as well. You honestly can't go wrong with either company's product but already having the FSDT version with the added Ft. Jefferson scenery, would be my recommendation.
  9. Excellent plane. I hope to see the realair lancair legacy or a comparable version, in MSFS, some day.
  10. Clouds and water at the highest settings possible. Those two are must-haves for me.
  11. Thank you all for recommending the "MSFS Addons Linker". I didn't know about this great utility until this thread.
  12. I'll wait for the official MSFS release of this fantastic mod. Love it in FSX and looking forward to the MSFS version.
  13. wthomas, I believe we wrote about these exact issues in another thread and I am in agreement with you.
  14. Agree with Dillon. I did a quick flight into Boca Raton from Miami last night and found the street lights WAY too bright and as I crossed over I-95 (interstate/highway) heading towards the runway thresh hold, floating street lamp lights were all over the place. Unfortunately, the too bright street lights and floating lights aren't the only issues, as has been posted by many already. Those lights in rural roads are not only incorrectly placed but overpowering as well. The night lighting is the #1 issue that I have with MSFS. I would love if Asobo would provide an option to allow the user to brighten the lighting themselves, to taste. Perhaps asking for too much, but that would allow everyone to tweak to their personal preference.
  15. When you hit the numpad 2 key and the beeping starts, you can move your eye-line via the Page-Up, Page-Down and the arrow keys. Then when you are satisfied with the results, hit the numpad 2 key again to set it. When exiting FSX, I believe Ezdok will ask if you wish to save the settings, as they have been changed. Answer "yes" and you are good to go. You can do the above for all seating locations, as well. (co-pilot, passengers, etc.)
  16. I've been extremely fortunate with the installation of all of the updates so far and yesterday's update was no exception. No issues have come up. (I've probably jinxed myself now...) Unlike the last update, this one didn't reset my graphics settings. The one visual difference that I've noticed is with clouds at night. When lightning strikes, the clouds are brightly lit up and appear extremely pixelated before fading down. It happened with the previous update but now it is even more pixelated. I have the cloud settings on "High", which is the highest setting available.
  17. Thank you so much for your work, Uwajimaya. Truly appreciated.
  18. Good thread. I've noticed this effect as well and it's quite frustrating. As soon as the wheels touch the runway, I've got to stand on one or the other rudder pedal just to keep the plane going semi-straight. Once it has slowed down to a crawl, the effect magically disappears and control returns (somewhat)..,
  19. One thing to consider, which I found out the hard way, was that if you leave the mouse cursor inside the ATC window, my controls stopped working. As soon as I move the cursor out of the ATC window, I regain control. Crazy, I know. By the way, I'm using Saitek Yoke, throttle quadrant and rudder pedals. (just in case they are the culprit and not the cursor in the ATC window...)
  20. I live in South Florida as well and agree 100% with you. Have you had a chance to check out Tamiami Trail heading West, out into the Everglades, lit up like a string of LED pearls? Not to mention that after taking off from Miami Executive Airport, heading West, while at under 1000 feet, I can easily see the perfect and brightly lit lights of the Dade-Collier Training and Transition airport... Simply ridiculous. At the very least, the lighting has to be considerably toned down. At best, return it to how it was. Night flying, as it currently is, has been ruined by unrealistically bright and "Pac-Man" tiled lighting which blows out all other lighting effects.
  21. I like that idea as well. FSX had the shooting stars which appeared randomly. That was always a cool and surprising thing to experience.
  22. It may have already been mentioned but the new lighting looks as if there are no atmospheric effects, especially as you look further away. Individual lights remain not just as bright but as crisp as those that are closer. Highly unrealistic. I definitely got an immediate FSX vibe. Would definitely benefit from some toning down, as well. Just my opinion, folks.
