  1. Are the flight plans created for Europe by this product validated by Eurocontrol?
  2. Would appreciate feedback/recommendations on sound packs for the 737 range. Thanks
  3. Please disregard my previous post. Apologies.
  4. Gottfried I am having an issue with Bluesky scenery textures blleding through the FSDreamTeam KLAS scenery. Is there anyway this can be resolved? Thanks
  5. After using Navdata updates from Navigraph/Aerosoft for various payware aircraft and programs I as wondering if there is anyway of updating the FSX Navdata. Is this at all possible? Thanks
  6. Bandicam only allows you to select one audio source, at least I've never found a second option on my version.
  7. I bought a licence for TOPCAT years ago, used it but soon came to the conclusion that the developer had made no effort to provide much needed config files for the many new aircraft and variants that were appearing in FS9 and FSX. Even some of the config files that came with the program were not very accurate. When I asked why some of these configs were not being created the reply was that these config files were difficult and that they didn't possess the required data. Must admit I was disappointed by their reply and slowly but surely found other ways of calculating weight and balance for various aircraft. I could see they had no interest in keeping TOPCAT updated and in reality it has been dead for some time. When they announced PFPX I had to laugh..... So now they were promising a much more advanced piece of software but couldn't/didn't update config files in TOPCAT for years. Shows you how much they cared about their existing customers. Don't hold your breath and be prepared to be disappointed.
  8. Have been using SweetFX for a while now and on certain occasions I've used Bandicam to record some flights, however noticed with some disappoinment that Bandicam doesn't seem to capture the vivid colour and brightness that SweetFX produces, the end result being just a plain recording as you would get if you were to turn off SweetFX. Does anybody know if there is any way to solve this issue? Regards
  9. Awful representation of the screen wipers on the VC. Other than that pretty mediocre graphics, flight model OK and stable.
  10. Yes we have some lveries for FS9, it would be a question of perhaps revising and touching up the existing scheme. thanks for your reply.
  11. Freightdogs VAC is in need of repaints for FSX. Unfortunately we don't have any experience in this field and are looking for one or more experienced repainters willing to help us create cargo repaints for the full PMDG range of aircraft. If you feel you can assist us with your skills and creativity, please PM me, we certainly would be very greatful for your contribution. Thanks and regards Joaquin Blanco FDC563 - UK Hub Mananger -Freightdogs VAC
  12. I have a registered copy of Addon Converter X and from my experience using it it doesn't fix any FS9 ground polygons and won't convert most FS9 sceneries that currently don't work in FSX. The name of the program is somewhat misleading. If you run it before you fly it will read all the sceneries and cache them so that when you fly they will load faster, this it does pretty well.
  13. Short tutorial. Remove FSINN and FSCopilot from your PC, then delete the FSDT folder from C:\Program Files (x86) (if you are on 64bit) then in the search box in the start button type regedit and run the registry editor. Do a search for the FSDT folder and delete it. Don't delete anything else. Reboot. Install FSCopilot SetupFSCopilot17B2_4.exe and SetupFSInn13B2_3.exe in that order ensuring that you reboot after each install. Next thing is to make exceptions in your firewall for the following files which are in the FSDT folder subfolders: FSFDTCP.exe FSFDTCPLite.exe FSInnUI.exe FSInnUIVVL.exe FWINN.exe FWINN64.exe Create a Router firewall rule to open port 32062 UDP This now being the first run of FSINN start the Control Panel and you'll see a traffic light type icon appearing on the on the bottom right taskbar. Right click and select "ensure visible" - A window will pop-up. Under Config :- Fscopilot with bullet in Autodetect FWInn Autodetect bullet autodetect - Options 1 & 2 leave as they are. Options - tick Voice Tuning Sound Warning - nothing else Under Voice :- Teamspeak and Roger Wilco without ticks Vatsim tick enable Vatsim voice on this computer. Also while on this select your mike, headset, and external speakers (if any) Volumes leave as they are except for a tick in realistic distortion. Key Mappings - Leave until connected - see later below. Key Management - Leave as is. Close down the window but don't kill the Control Manager. Start FSX and place yourself at an airport but not on a runway. In window mode. Select the Add-ons pull down menu and then open FSCopilot/Inn Control Panel - At this point FSInn will check all the aircraft that you have installed in your FSX aircraft foldder. When done the FSInn Control panel will appear. Select SET and you will see 3 Sections - General, Network and Aircraft. General:- Basic this is where you enter the callsign you are going to use in Vatsim, your name and your registered airport (something you choose when creating your VATSIM account, if you didn't then just put the ICAO Code of your favourite Airport. Selcal - leave for now. General - ticks in every box Charset - ignore Multiplayer - Select range 10 miles (FSX won't display aircraft at more than 10 miles) Multiplayer Max Plane - determines how many aircraft it will display - Too high can cause FPS loss. Various - On left column top to bottom - 3 ticks 2 unticks remaining all ticked. On right column 2 unticked 1 ticked 3 unticked, 1 ticked 2 unticked 1 ticked. Sound - You can have all ticked VA Voice - ignore Flight - select IFR or VFR Weather - Disable Weather by default ticked if you are using a 3rd party weather program, if not leave unticked. Network:- Vatsim - Enter ID and password details, press load servers wait a few seconds and pulling arrow select from list the closest server to your location. Leave the rest of this section as is. Ignore remaining items except for Peer to Peer. P2P - Select you Internet connection speed and tick disable automatic P2P establishing, etc. UPnP - If your router supports UPnP you should see a message telling you UPnP found, if not it doesn't matter. Forwarding -Here you can enter the port number mentioned earlier in this post - This is not required but you can do so if you wish. Default - ignore. Aircraft:- General defaults - Shows you which aircraft FSInn will choose to display if it cannot match the livery of other online user aircraft. You can change this if you wish. Aircraft repository - ignore. Close the SET window. You are now ready to press VATSIM and connect to the network. Press the button and you are on the network. Now go into full screen mode and the CP should be visible inside FSX - If you find this CP too big, pressing mCP will reduce the CP to a much smaller size but still fully functional. Pressing CP again will take you back to the large version. If you still have display issues they could be related to Graphic drivers. Also make sure you have the latest Visual Basic 6 installed. For SELCA see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SELCAL Hope this is of help to you and any other trying to start life in Vatsim. Regards
  14. Congrats, try connecting as an observer at an airport where there is ATC and just sit back and listen to the relevant channels like Ground, Tower, Approach, Centre and so on. Vatsim has an excellent Pilot Resource Centre http://www.vatsim.net/prc/ and would advise you to spend sometime doing some reading. There is of course no reason why you should not try out some VFR flying to start with, just follow VFR rules and don't be afraid to contact controller to let him/her know that you are new, which is nothing to be ashamed of. See you in the virtual skies. Regards
  15. I am curently using FSInn with full SweetFX running and never had any issues. This is running in single PC or networked client. In fact one doesn't have any influence on the other. Suggest you check and remove remove any enb files (if any) the remove and reintall FSCopilot and FSInn is that order. FSInn when it crashes usually gives you an error description, perhaps you could post yours and we can assist you to fix the issue. Regards
  16. They sort of looked OK, only trouble was that it took much longer to load everything and after a while began to experience some scenery stutters.
  17. Joe, thanks for the input. I've given up on this after having texture loading issues after conversion. Regards
  18. Have been installing into FSX some Photo real sceneries, which seem to load OK but don't look as good in FSX. Read in one of the Forums that it's possible to make some FS9 textures FSX compliant, so I did some searching and reading, and trying a few things, among them bmp2dxt3. Nearly all these FS9 textures are in WXT1 4m resolution format and decided to convert a whole texture folder to DXT3. The resulting bmp's were larger in size but once inside the sim there appeared to be less blurr and took longer for textures to start blurring. This is as far as I got and now would like to learn about converting them to DXT5 but some googling came up with developer's info that was/is way above my head. Some info on what software to use and guidance/advice would be much appreciated, info on converting the accompanying bgl's would be a bonus. Thanks
  19. Hello Toufic I don't use ENB series, but you could try its alternative SweetFX look here: http://www.guru3d.com/news_story/download_sweetfx_shader_suite_v1_4.html and the SweetFX Configurator v1.3.3. here: http://sweetfx.thelazy.net/ - Before doing any install strongly recommend that you read through the following post here in Avsim which contain as wealth of informationand links that explain how it works, etc. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/389455-have-any-of-you-tried-this-sweetfx/?hl=swee Regards
  20. Kaloska Tried it and it sort of works, except that if you have 2 or more scenery areas with same numbers it doesn't renumber them and this means you then need to manually change them so that all numbers are different, before it renumbers correctly. I do miss not being able to use Richard Bixler's excellent Scenery Align. Regards
  21. I am looking for a program that will autoimatically read and renumber the scenery.cfg file, akin to the Scenery Align that was available for FS9 but which sadly no longer works under Win7 due to .net framework 1.1 incompatibility. So far I have tried the freeware FSTweaks Scenery Config Toolbox, but this will only recognise scenery entries within the FSX folder. Any suggestions or feedback much appreciated.
