Windows 10 reservations now available for Win 7 and 8 users!
GHD replied to Mean Aerodynamic Chord's topic in WIN10 OS Forum
The easiest way is to uninstall KB3035583 and run Windows Update. -
The one on the left seems to be too far from the parking spot. Run the ADE Fault-Finder.

344.75 works ok. George

FSX SE has better VAS management . Can P3D get this too ?
GHD replied to GSalden's topic in The Prepar3d Forum
Yes, I don't have SE but I can guarantee that it is much better than FSX and P3D (which I do have) -
Aerosoft Dublin and Horizon VFR GenX Ireland East in P3D
GHD replied to Christopher Low's topic in The Prepar3d Forum
Rather than moving the whole of the Aerosft scenery, you need to investigate each of the individual files. -
I was getting the error within 5 minutes with tessellation switched off when I had FSUIPC installed. I removed FSUIPC and can run for over an hour with tessellation on or off.
-
FSUIPC can cause an R6025 error with Tessellation off. Presumably because memory addresses are different from V2.3.

R6025 runtime error continues in V2.4
GHD replied to TrafficPilot's topic in Crash To Desktop (CTD) Forum
It is not a CTD, the sim will continue if you ignore the pop-up. BTW. FSUIPC can cause an R6025 error with Tessellation off. -
Error - Flight Simulator didn't shut down properly
GHD replied to thetford569's topic in The Prepar3d Forum
It can also come from Ultimate Traffic. -
There is a problem with misregistration of photo-scenery and xml airports with tesselation on.
-
Oops, just noticed your comment
-
You also need to set the wind strength and direction at at least two heights.

To all VAS and OOM testers that use FSUIPC for monitoring...
GHD replied to a topic in The Prepar3d Forum
I also see VAS increase when changing to top-down view and zooming-out. After resetting to spot view, the VAS gradually reduced to its previous level. -

No, fragmentation is confined to the partition in which the file resides.
-
No one has mentioned fragmentation. Over time, a single file may have fragments scattered all over a partition. If there is only one partition, the heads will be continuously seeking.

MK KSNA Remove Autogen Exclude
GHD replied to BeechPapa's topic in FSX | FSX-SE Scenery Design Forum - How To
I agree Jim. If one were to create photo ground textures, the only things recoverable would be the buildings since the GPs are misplaced with respect to their real world position. I think you were being conservative with your estimate of a month's work ;-) -
MK KSNA Remove Autogen Exclude
GHD replied to BeechPapa's topic in FSX | FSX-SE Scenery Design Forum - How To
The problem is that the photo gound texture has been created using FS8 models, files gndbase.bgl and gndbase_LM.bgl. Unfortunately they have placed the model without using NoAutogenSuppression so it removes a huge swathe of autogen. One solution is to place model trees and buildings, another is to create your own photo textures using Resample from the FSX SDK. George -
I think the volumetric fog was a respose to Orbx sceneries, but It appears to be a fault with those.
-
The first thing I do after loading P3D V2 is to set the global texture resolution to minimum then immediately set it back to 4K. This fixes the autogen texture problem.
