  1. I'm working on porting over a native FS9 aircraft model designed with old GMAX to MSFS. Meanwhile, I decided to convert the model to a native FSX model in GMAX, because the conversion of the original FS9 model with MCX results in some animations not working in MSFS. My FS9 native model has gear / flaps / spoilers / thrust reverser retracted in 0 keyframe position, at 100 / 200 keyframe position, the objects are extracted. To make it work correctly in MSFS, I will have to reverse that order; for example, the 0 keyframe position for the gear, it must be in extracted position, the flaps also must be in extracted position at 0 keyframe position. Is this normal, intention, or whatsoever, or am I on the best way to a developers' derailing mess?
  2. Hi Folks :( Jetways & Terminals For ACOF Package Final is now available on AVSIM (DLID:130820). Since I did not receive any bug reports or suggestions, I haven't made any changes to the beta version. For screenshots of many sceneries, visit my website: http://de.geocities.com/janswebsites/flightsim/ Also, I've updated my other sceneries and their AFCADs, just download the AFCAD packages from my website, they contain the necessary scenery files, too: NTTB Bora BoraVTSM Koh SamuiVTSP PhuketWRRR Denpasar BaliZPDQ / ZUBD / ZUJZ / ZULS / ZUNZ Himalaya Airports This was my last scenery project I've developed, and therefore once again:Thank you for all the acknowledgement and support! Regards Jan
  3. Hi Folks :) As you possibly know, every aircraft in FS has a model radius. Small aircraft have small radius values, heavies have larger radius values. Without airline parking codes provided by downloadable AFCADs, small aircraft will preferably use 'GATE SMALL', medium aircraft 'GATE MEDIUM' and heavies would go to 'GATE HEAVY'. There is no general standard, but many different radius values amongst all the different aircraft models. The PAI AFCAD division has developed a radius scheme years ago. PAI radiused all its downloadable models available with their airline-packages according to the scheme, and PAI AFCAD designers created their AFCADs also according to the scheme. Together with realistic AI timetables, a perfect system for a realistic AI experience very close to the real world situation! Here is the updated AI Aircraft Radius Table (including the 'How To Radius A Model' section): http://de.geocities.com/janswebsites/fligh...-radiusing.html Nowadays, most AI models come from Aardvark, EvolveAI, AlphaIndiaGroup, TheFruitStand, and the like, all with any radius value, many small aircraft with values too big to fit to a 'GATE SMALL' provided by downloadable AFCAD files for example. Some other folks have created their own radius schemes meanwhile (for example Samuel Arnold for FS9, or Reggie Field for FSX), and I just wanted to know, which Model Radius Scheme do you prefer, if you radius your models at all for better working AI traffic? Thanks & RegardsJan

  7. Hi Folks :) One week ago, the new VOBL Bangalore Bengaluru International airport was opened. Jeppesen still hasn't published the charts, but information from 'AIP Sup 2008 31' of http://www.aai.aero/public_notices/aip_supplements.jsp was sufficient to finish the scenery, finally. You can obtain it from my website http://de.geocities.com/janswebsites/flightsim 'Airports.TXT' -Entry:VOBL,N13* 11.87',E77* 42.37',3002 Regards Jan
  8. Hi Folks :) VOHS Hyderabad Rajiv Gandhi is now available on my website. 9. Hi Folks :) This morning March 23 2008 at 00:24 Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt was the first to land at the New Hyderabad Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, HYD / VOHS. http://www.newhyderabadairport.com The old Aiport VOHY is closed now. Get charts from http://www.jeppesen.com/wlcs/index.jsp?sec...nt=hubwatch.jsp soon, until they remove them again, for example: VOHS 20-9 Airport ChartVOHS 20-9A Parking ChartVOHS 20-2A Rwy 09 RNAV VOHS 20-2D Rwy 27 RNAV I'm trying to finish the scenery as soon as possible, unfortunateley I have to do more changes than expected. Regards Jan
  10. Hi Mitchell :) Air China is now Member of the "Star Alliance", get the worldwide PDF-Timetable from their website, and you can see what aircraft is flying up to Lhasa. Regards Jan
  11. Hi Folks :) Singapore Changi Terminal 3 is open and used by SIA now,get the terminal and updated AFCAD for "Jetways & Terminals For ACOF"from my website http://de.geocities.com/janswebsites/flightsim/ Make sure you set the radius for A380 to 45m. Regards Jan
  12. Hi Folks :) Version 3.0 is available at AVSIM now, please don't forget to download and install the AFCADs, too. Regards Jan
  13. Hi Folks :) I have added a new airport to my previous Tibet- now Himalaya-Scenery once again. It's the very interesting and scenic ZUJZ Jiuzhai Huanglong - which already has been requested several times in different forums - and improved all earlier airports: ZULS LXA Lhasa Gongkar Airport - Alt. 11711ft / 3570mhttp://img233.imageshack.us/img233/169/sce...viewzulsvy6.jpg ZUBD BPX Changdu Airport - Alt. 14219ft / 4334mhttp://img149.imageshack.us/img149/7756/sc...viewzubdfl0.jpg ZPDQ DIG Zhongdian Diqing Airport - Alt. 10787ft / 3288mhttp://img149.imageshack.us/img149/8369/sc...viewzpdqle1.jpg ZUNZ LZY Linzhi Milin Airport - Alt. 9670ft / 2947mhttp://img100.imageshack.us/img100/8510/sc...viewzunzke7.jpg ZUJZ JZH Jiuzhai Huanglong - Alt. 11311ft / 3448mhttp://img89.imageshack.us/img89/5253/scen...viewzujzqp5.jpg None of them is in the default FS-scenery, all have ILS-XML-Approach of course and are fully AI-Traffic-capable therefore. Thanks to GoogleEarth the Potala-Palace in Lhasa is now at its correct position. Finally the scenery is compatible to the following great meshes: "Himalayas LOD9 Base Mesh Southeastern Ranges" (AVSIM Download-ID 81181)"SRTM Terrain Mesh LOD9 China Middle Part 4" - #20 (AVSIM Download-ID 72510)"SRTM Terrain Mesh LOD9 China Middle Part 5" - #21 (AVSIM Download-ID 72516) I received many suggestions via eMail, and I have realized many of them. I'm searching for some beta-testers now, no extensive testing required, just looking if everything is fine, before I upload the scenery to AVSIM & Co. --- --- --- This time I have recorded the hours I needed to create the scenery of ZUJZ Jiuzhai, a completely new and not in default scenery available airport, btw. Values contain the time for testing the objects, too:3 hr Investigation1 hr AFCAD2 hr ILS XML-Approach3 hr Terrainadjustment9 hr Rivers & Roads3 hr Landclass3 hr Buildings1 hr Packaging & Documentation Regards Jan
  14. Hi Folks :) As a developer of sceneries, AI-FDE's and AFCADs I had to rework everything for FS9 ACOF when it replaced its predecessor. It was work for more than 1 year. I'm now very satisfied with my FS9, and I have no intention to change to FSX, which would require to get some sort of a supercomputer to run it, btw. With 1000's of downloads of my sceneries for FS9, I was always prepared for a huge amount of requests to convert my sceneries for FSX, I received only a single one, very remarkable. My perception also is that FSX has split the FS community, unfortunately. But, I've made my decision, I'll stick with FS9 ACOF - for sooo many different good reasons ... Regards Jan
