As per their site: https://fsfxpackages.com/en/install/ and get their VFX central... https://fsfxpackages.com/en/vfxcentral/
  2. Yes.. great. That is certainly useful. ! Thank you !! b rdgs / Dick =
  3. hello Miquel, Thank you for this fast info. I hope it works.. sounds a bit too easy. But I will try a quick trip over the pond tomorrow and hope for the best. b rdgs / Dick
  4. Thanks Miquel, Well, when you flew to TNCM you didn't fly over Greenland. I flew from EHAM to VHHH and e.g. from YSSY to KLAX. without any problem but I simply do not get past Greenland....I really think location is one part of the problem. I find it hard to believe that we would be the only souls hitting this problem. When 4.1 is there I will continue to experiment with other aircraft and disable scenery parts. Disabling default scenery solved for me a similar problem in FSX when I couldn't get past a certain location in Denmark. Lets stay in touch ! b rdgs / Dick =
  5. yes, I have exactly the same problem Miquel. I can fly for hours in all directions but also over Greenland i have the ntdll.dll crash. Flight after Flight. Had a similar problem with FSX with a certain spot over Denmark. At that time I solved it by deactivating the area "western Europe " scenery EURW in the scenery cfg. So I guessed I had something wrong in one the of default bgl's. (Or would ORBX have anything active in this area ?) Could be that I (or we) now have a similar problem. I was surprised that I never saw anybody reporting this issue. Interesting to see that you seem to have a similar problem. I flew EHAM/KSFO with the P3Dv4 / PMDG 747v3.. and you ? Once I did a trial to have the FSUIPC autosave on and restarted the flight with everytime a smaller interval. Eventually I got over the "red" spot, But it spoiled the experience.. I didn't go any further with testing as I wanted to wait for P3DV4.1 Maybe you could change the thread title to include Greenland ? because I think it is the location rather then a driver or something. There could be more people with this problem.. b rdgs / Dick =
  6. No it isn't the wrong way. Look at google maps and you will see that aircraft are parked both directions here. On google maps (satellite) stand 603 there is a heavy parked exactly the same way. Seems Simwings is doing a very accurate job in their afcad ! b rdgs / Dick =
  7. I only fly to and from payware airports. I have saved all their locations in google maps. I load google maps and based on my aircraft " preference of the day" and the displayed airports I choose a citypair.. b rdgs / Dick =
  8. Would a regular backup not help you ? Restoring your computer content from an earlier state does not not require a new activation... b rdgs / Dick =
  9. as to question 3 : have you tried Linda ? ( see their forum on Avsim). That will give you options to configure many functions for buttons and switches b rdgs / Dick =
  10. Try Linda. (see their forum, here on Avsim). That will give you options to program buttons and switches for a lot of things. b rdgs / Dick =
  11. It is likely that there are 2 Afcads and GSX is reading the wrong one.The one " that you don't need" could be placed by e.g.ORBX or an AI program. Go into your Addons tab > GSX >Customize airport positions.. GSX will show which afcad it is using. If that is not the AFCAD that came with the airport, you could disable it by e.g. adding .off after the .bgl. It would help if you give some more information about airports on which you have this problem. I do even vaguely remember that GSX has an option to disable afcads in case of multiple afcads. Surely somewhere in the manual b rdgs / Dick = ..
  12. There are various programs like Ezdok. I personally use Opus Camera's. With this you can setup camera VC views exactly the way you like it. I have a Razor tartarus chroma which basically adds additional programmable keys to assign to each view. FSFX chaseplane is another program that does more or less the same as the other two. Ezdok was too complicated for my taste. Opus camera's fits exactly what I need and what I can handle. Maybe you could also look into Lorby-Si Cameraposition X. With this you can also define and save camera-positions. However none of this answers you question. I myself don't know the answer to your question. I am also very interested in what you ask but did not manage sofar what you are asking. Curious to see if somebody comes with a step by step for this. b rdgs / Dick =
  13. That is not so weird as it seems. Airlines have a whole range of options they can buy for a certain aircraft. This could vary from cockpit of passenger (service) equipment but also different maximum weights for certain aircraft. Many aircraft can be bought with different max zfw, different max landingweights or max tow weights . There could be a structural change involved but the airline also pays for the additional certification process. Max weights could even change during the life of the aircraft. I know of an airline that sometimes used longhaul equipment for an extended period on shorthaul flights and as landingfees etc are based on max takeoff weight they lowered the certified max tow for that aircraft for a period of time and so save on fees. You could also see other differences in aircraft. Like e.g the Md-11 can be bought with a small or large lower belly aft door, making it possible to load pallets versus smaller luggage containers. You could also e.g see B-767 with 1 or 2 pax doors up front. All what the airlines wants and pays for and all within designs options and possibilities of course. It also depends on what PMDG models.E.g The dc6-b comes ( as far as I understand with 10 fuel tanks ). The PMDG Dc-6 has only 8 fuel tanks as the aircraft that they modeled was apparently a domestic version of the DC-6B with only 8 tanks. As to your questions why weights would highlight. ( I take it you are talking about the payload screen in the FMC). Yes highlighted means you are exceeding a certain restriction. Play with the weights and you can see how the various restrictions ( like cg and gw ) interact and can be exceeded. b rdgs Dick =
  14. Hi Roberto. I also have all the ORBX stuff that you mention. ( but I would guess many of us would have this stuff and as far as I can see only a minority is affected here) My offending airpors (mostly) are EHAM/EKCH-FlyTampa and LOWI/Orbx b rdgs / Dick =
  15. Chris, thank you for your efforts. Is there any testing you think could be worthwhile ? I could easily set up a vanilla P3dv4 and e.g add some add-ons.. Would that help you ? any addons that you think that could be of importance here ? Or do I just step by step recreate/build the state in which i was having the CTD's ? Just let me know what would help you.. thx and b rdgs Dick =
  16. Yes, Installed test 04 and took her 4 times to different runways at my known hotspots/ airports and departed. No CTD ! Some more flying later today. Would be great it this is solved now. Chris: did actually find something ? b rdgs / Dick =
  17. Well I had the same results as Roberto. Tried this morning and took her 3 times ( with each DLL) to the runway on the known hotspots/airports and neither file of test 3 gave me a CTD. Couldn't believe it so I tried again this afternoon. Same result. .. 3 times to the runway with each file and again she would not CTD.. This is test 3. So in ttl had 6 tries on one DLL and also 6 on the other and not a single CTD.. This was the first time, I guess, that I was unhappy not to get a CTD B rdgs / Dick =
  18. And yes. I also have good experiences here. My main problem was getting her to the runway. Tried 5 times now at 5 different airports and no CTD ! Tomorrow will start flying her again ! b rdgs / Dick =
  19. My Dc-6 starts up with engines running.. If I do not touch the AFE or the ramp manager / aircraft state menu I make it to the runway no problem In my case 3 things are consistently present when I CTD 1- previous use of AFE and/or ramp manager use / aircraft state 2- Vicinity of runway 3- throttling back on power.. happy flying Dick Romeo
  20. I also wouldn't be surprised when it is sound related. I just tried 5 times in a row to takeoff from LOWI -08 and every single time being close to the runway when I throttled back during the taxi, I had the very long pause followed by a CTD. Happens when I use the throttle and also when I use F1. Would it be worth to replace the soundset by a default one.. just for testing ? happy flying Dick Romeo
  21. You can en/disable them with the >options.>add-ons entry in the menu
  22. Maybe you find here what you are looking for: http://www.departedflights.com/ http://www.timetableimages.com/ b rdgs Dick =
  23. It is maybe not V4 compatible but I have it working in V3.4 as the op mentions. No problems with it, I actually like it and no problems with GSX. They both function well. b rdgs Dick =
  24. KCLT worked for me.. but all of my other FSDT and Flightbeam sceneries had the missing building syndrome. Also GSX did not work anymore.. and this was all in P3D V3.4. Haven't touched V4 sofar.
  25. yes. This morning on FSDT forum, related to KCLT questions, Umberto explained that he followed new conventions and laid out by LM. Greyed out sections can be edited via the options menu. Scenery that follows the new convention does not show up anymore in the scenery.cfg. FSDT forum seems to be down but I guess there might be info on other fora as well. b rdgs / Dick =
