  1. The lack of reviews (often completely missing) for "high-end" hardware like that has always been the problem. However, I think everyone should keep in mind that the high price of these products does not necessarily reflect the overall build quality or realism factor. One reason I believe these special products are so expensive, is that they come from relatively small manufacturers, who often produce only a few of those items at a time. It's not a massive product line that sells lots of units per year.

  2. The reason the head movement is different from MD-11 in JS4100 is because of an FSX bug. For some reason, the further the cockpit (camera position) is from the airplanes pivot point (center turning point), the more wobble it causes in the virtual cockpit. The effect gets bigger the closer you are to the equator. So for the NGX, the head movement would be more notable in the -800 and -900 models, than in the -600 and -700 ones.

  3. Ryan,What I meant with "having the same problem" was that I couldn't log into PMDG. What I got was simply a message that my account doesn't exist in the database. If you meant that the problems others are having all have to do with "Internal Server Error", like with the original poster, then it's probably not the same mistake as mine.

  4. Got myself the new i7 2600k this week and just did some initial tests in FSX. The MD-11 and J41 at FTX PNW KSEA run at about 30fps in daytime fair weather conditions with autogen and scenery complexity both set at dense. So far I've overclocked only to 4.4GHz. Promising results so far... I wonder if the NGX will perform even better.

  5. Well, the problem for me was quite embarrassing, as I had also changed my email address a while back. However, I have two email addresses, and for some reason I had put the one I don't normally use for things like user accounts, into my PMDG account. Took a while from me to realize the mistake I made, but all is well now.I'd suggest that anyone who has issues logging into PMDG, and who has more than one email address, to think which one they used for the PMDG account. :D It's easy to forget it when you don't login for a long time.

  6. I have the same problem now. I tried to install the MD-11 after a computer upgrade, but couldn't validate it. I then tried to login to PMDG site and it says my email is not in their customer database. Can PMDG confirm if there is a server maintenance going on or if the account has really been deleted?

  7. northridge,Sign your posts with your full name, otherwise the moderators may remove them. To answer some of your questions:Yes, the whole horizontal stabilizer moves. In big jets, like MD-11, the elevator trim always moves the whole horizontal stabilizer in order to get the required trim force. My understanding is, that the autopilot disconnects when the the controls are moved by the pilot, including the stabilizer. The "stabilizer motion" warning is activated when the stabilizer moves CONTINUOUSLY a certain amount. From the problem you're having, all I can think of right now, is that something is actually interfering within your controls. Have you checked that you don't have any other buttons/axis on any other controllers assigned to the elevator trim?

  8. Guenter,Just wanted to thank you for your LUA and macro files for the PMDG J41. I downloaded them some days ago, and they work great with the J41! I can now utilize my hardware to control all the main functions of the plane, making flying much smoother! The only controls I'm still missing is the propeller and engine anti-ice, but I can live without it. Thanks again!Btw, I think the NGX may have some new ways for users to interconnect their hardware and custom controls to the plane, making LUA scripting and macros unnecessary. I remember reading something like this last year in one of PMDGs posts.

  9. Hi Dan,Yes, the intention of my post was to find a solution, of course. That's why I posted in the public forum.Anyway, the registry repair tool seems to have fixed the problem this time. The first time (before I re-installed my OS) it didn't do anything however, so it's still a bit of a mystery. Does the registry repair do anything else than reset the path that points to fsx.exe?

  10. Hello,It happens at all airports.I have now pinpointed the problem to 3 add-ons. It happens after installing either Reality XPs GNS500 or WX500, or after installing EZdok camera addon. However, uninstalling all of them does not remove it anymore, but I have to reinstall the whole OS and FSX (with all addons) to get it working again. One of these addons tampers with either the PMDG MD-11 or FSX in a way that causes this problem.I wonder if PMDG is aware of this?

  11. AnttiThanks for your info. Two questions:1-Did you move a freestanding addons to second monitor in FSX "Full window Mode"?2-If yes how did you do it?
Sorry, I think I understood your question wrong. It is NOT possible to view other APPLICATIONS on the second monitor when in full screen mode, but it is possible to move any panel/gauges to the second monitor when in full screen mode. Hope this helps.
