  1. Will the A310 have a cabin you can access? Animations? Doors opening?
  2. This is a rumor that someone started a long time ago. Maybe it was Microsoft itself in relation to a very specific caste. Generally, leave the folder alone. That some addons might not perform as per expectations after an upgrade is another issue.
  3. Yeah, I agree, it's a significantly improved version. Entering the Bing key from within the app and importing the navdata from within was a pain. If you lose your Bing key, follow the tutorial here: Bing Key The Pilot2Atc integration looks interesting.
  4. No. Absolutely not necessary. Don't touch the community folder.
  5. The latest version, entitled Sky4Sim Pad NG is free if you are a current user of the original Sky4Sim Pad. I immediately noticed two improvements: 1. The Bing api key, the one that allows you to use the map feature, can now be added after install from your desktop. 2. Nav Data importation can now be done from the desktop also and is quite a way faster than before where you had to do it from within the sim. (Maybe I missed this feature in the previous version, who knows, they both seem new to me). 3. Newer and "cleaner" interface. Here is the link: Sky4sim Pad NG
  6. Looks like the developer is just phoning it in in with the udpdates --> what about improving the sound? Finding a workaround for the center console issue? Getting rid of the "inop" buttons? Etc.
  7. The drone mode is for visual showcasing only, trying to use it to do a walk around is a pain in the word not allowed, unintuitive and looks ridiculous. I hope FS Realistic's walkaround mode, follows the simple WASD of first person games, with an option to adjust height and move into third person. Maybe in the future you can get into a virtual car and drive around the airport.
  8. This has been posted about already, but wanted to hightlight this anyways. If this works as advertised in the video, it'll significantly increase immersion. FS Realistic Walk-Around Mode Demonstration
  9. If Navigraph flight planning were more "efficient" compared to Simbrief, they wouldn't have bought out Simbrief.😏 I plan my flights in Simbrief, select appropriate SIDs and STARs, done. Simbrief also provides all the other information needed for a flight.
  10. Navigraph should stick with providing a chart viewer and updating navdata. The rest is mostly visual knick knacks. Can't comment on the vfr stuff. How many people really use the Navigraph flight planner?
  11. There is already a thread over on Hangar Chat.....
  12. I've subscribed to Navigraph strictly for access to the charts and the navigational data. The rest is (to me) worthless eye candy, that I can get with any of the existing apps out there. I do my flight planning through simbrief. If I want a "visual representation" of SIDs and STARs, I can do that via the default MSFS flight planner. The in-game panel was clunky and unintuitive to begin with - apparently, it won't be updated because of "Asobo issues". The Android app has been awol since September - "we are working to resolve the issue with Google". I guess some version of the android app is back...... But the app has a shiny new coat, so there's that.
  13. I have a 100 % Razer setup and never had an issue. Why would their software cause issues with MSFS?
  14. Around 7 minutes to the main menus. If your community folder looks like a Turducken, it's time for an addon diet.
  15. So, I completed my first full flight with the PMDG 737-700. Here are my (non-technical) observations. I won't comment on the flight model coz, come on, PMDG has been at it for over 20 years. I they haven't gotten it right by now.... Flight was from KBFI to CYUL (Montreal), at a cruising altitude of 37000 feet, with a flight time from take off to touchdown of about 4 hours and 25 minutes. I flew an ILS approach to RW 24R in Montreal. Because my 737 flying skills are a bit rusty, I didn't configure everything correctly for approach and landing, but I got the plane down in one piece. 1. The good: - exceptional ground handling. It really feels like the tires are firmly planted on the ground. None of that floaty feeling you get with other MSFS airplanes. - rudder inputs very responsive and smooth, even with my not exactly high-end thrustmaster rudder pedals. - if trim is set correctly as per the FMC (I recommend enabling tool tips to set the trim), rotation is smooth. - behaves as expected through all phases of flight. I didn't encounter any show stoppers or "bugs" - very good cockpit lighting - plenty of config. options via the FMC - decent performance, even on my rig that was built pretty much in another century - I enjoyed the sounds 2. The not so good - missing efb - cumbersome simbrief integration - missing cabin as part of the interior model - texture work is mediocre to terrible in places. - manuals are mediocre - PMDG used to excel at their manuals, especially their tutorial flights - the one for the MSFS version starts you out with all engines running.😕 Overall verdict: Recommended - I was only interested in the BBJ version, since I don't have the time for proper airlines operation, and I feel I got my money' s worth. Hoping that PMDG will come through with their promises in regards to the efb and visual upgrades. If you're interested in a long-range business jet, this is probably the plane to get.
