  1. Hi Frank1. Yes, I think everyone discovered this with this particular procedure file, and this topic has been discussed recently, make a search for EGLL and you'll find the post. FYI, someone has uploaded an edited file to Navdata that actually work.I don't know the reason to that these fixes/wp's no longer exist in the database, maybe this is due to AIP-UK changes. But what I do know, that there are other substitutes fixes/wp's at the same lat/long. I have done some research and wrote a complete list with the changes that I will forward this to Simon. If you are interested in this list, PM me.You may also contact him directly, as I think this is the only source for updates at the moment. (Maybe he already has updated the file already)2. If I my add something to Terry's excellent explanation, you can also use NAVAID D093A (for 9L) and NAVAID D093B (for 9R), these wp's are in the database.
  2. Yes, it is. Just select the new procedures and/or rwy, activate and exec the changes. Remember to check and eventually edit your route if necessary. You will most likely also have to close any "route discontinuity" to verify the changes. Also be aware that the FMC will calculate a new TOD point based on the new procedure and eventually any new wind info. If you are close to dest, and get a steep descend you may need to change to LVL CHG for a while to catch up with the new descend profile.
  3. Dave,You will find procedures for LEBL at Navdata, either as single download or in the All-in-one file. But please read the pinned post Terry refer to (here:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=230&topic_id=7&mode=full). Very useful background and info.If you follow these simple guidelines you will be very well covered all over the world and encounter very few errors.
  4. Glen,In fact I don't know. I was merely describing the availability in the FMC. I may be wrong, but I don't think these are published fixes. Personally I 've never had the need for using the rwy as a fix. As Ken mentioned above there are many other published intsc/vor/ndb in the charts that will be sufficient to set up a proper procedure for departure or approach(if not published procedures), or as a reference for creating all sorts of custom fixes. These can also be very handy to meet any ATC instructions. On approach, you may also use RWY EXT function in the arrival pages. You can use this to set up a fix at a given distance on the extended centerline of your arr rwy. As an ex, select a rwy without procedure, enter 10NM in the RWY EXT (LSK3R I think). Then you will be lined up for final approach set up for a proper descend profile(if you are not using any other radio guidance). But I have rarely used this...
  5. As mentioned, there seems to be no way to enter a specific runway directly on the FIX or LEGS pages, ex as KPHX25L. However there are some workarounds, depending on your needs... 1. There seems to be an identyfier/waypoint in the database for each runway(according to FSNavigator). As an example, for KPHX 25L the identyfier is R0160 and this can be used as a waypoint.2. You can enter the airport ICAO code and use it as a waypoint/reference point (the aerodrome's reference point)3. As mentioned you can literally define any custom waypoint where you like as a PBD waypoint or PB/PB waypoint, and use any intsc/vor/ndb/airport/ as reference point.
  6. Mr/Mrs Unknown?According to the forum guidelines pinned at the top here, you need to sign your posts with your real name!To your question, you can to this in Notepad or a simple text editor. An in-depth tutorial on how to make terminal prosedures is available in the library, search for "making_737ng_procedures_5th.zip".You may also head over to the Terminal Procedures forum and Navdata for further info and background.
  7. >>I suggest you download the file available at www.navdata.at>as>>it should be uptodate while the one you downloaded is pretty>>hold.>>Claudio, no sorry, it isn't. This file is Terry's "PMDG Procedures_0504" and is up to date.JD, I just tried the procedure files you mentioned and they are OK. That is with Airac_0504 and PMDG_Procedures_0504.I suspect there must be something with your airac installation, but I'm not sure. Can you confirm that you have the files on the pic below and with the same date in your fs9/fmcwp/navdata folder and just these?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/114854.jpgCan you also open up the sid/star files you mentioned and verify that the header start with:// Derived from DAFIF cycle 0504.// Valid 14 Apr 2005 to 11 May 2005.//// Copyright 4/13/2005 by Terry Yingling>>The one I was able to find on navdata.com only contained about 9 U.S. airports' SID/STARS. Am I missing a full download somewhere?>>>>Yes you are, there is an "All-in-one" file for download which contain all useruploads to navdata.I also suggest you take a look at the following thread to get some background for the structure of the airac-sid/star setup and installation:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho..._id=7&mode=full
  8. Aaron, I think the email adress that Robin mentioned is the correct to use. I can understand your frustration, but before you bash out to much anger on them, have you considered other reasons for not getting any replies? Have a look at these posts, maybe this will explain something at least:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho..._id=79716&page=http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho..._id=78113&page=http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho..._id=78703&page=

    PMDG FMC

Allan,If the updates you refer to are the "PMDG_Procedures_0504", it does not contain procedures for EGKK and EGCC. For some background and install procedures please read this post by Terry Yingling: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=search. You will also find a "Reas this first" file inside the above mentioned zip. If you head over to Navdata you can download procedure files for EGKK and EGCC. There is also one "All-in-one" file there with all uploaded user files. Eventually install these files on top of "PMDG_Procedures_0504". Also remember to download the Airac cycle 0504 so you are "in sync".
  10. Thanks Dave, for excellent info of further usage of this neat feature.
  11. FYI, I think everyone get an error message for EGLL with the latest Airac and this particular procedure file. But do as suggested and contact Simon on mail, I'm sure he will send you an updated file.
  12. Just to clarify a little, the FIX page will give you the possibility to enter a visual reference in relation to another valid waypoint in the database(fixes, navaids etc). This will be displayed as a green dotted circle on the ND. The reference point don't have to be a part of your flight plan, and will not be displayed in the LEGS page. This function is mainly used to get better situational awareness in a number of situiations, like minimum safe altitude guidance, guidance for a DME ARC (if not in database or self-created). If the reference point for the circle is in your flightplan, the FIX page will also display ETA, distance and calculated altitude when crossing. If you want to create custom waypoints or fixes to be used in the fligtplan, this has to to done on the LEGS page. The FIX page is only used for reference and guidance.
  13. If I may add, this active rwy information on the APPROACH REF page is only available when you are established on your crz alt, not on the ground and when in clb. And of course only if an appropriate approach to dest is selected on the DEP/ARR page.
  14. There are performance files available for the PMDG -600 (and the -700). Look under "Library" at the Fsbuild website.
  15. WInRAR did the trick. Gonna try it later. Thanks:-)
  16. Well, I tried to download the file, but the zip seems to be corrupted...
  17. If datas are available I personally prefer to enter winds along the descend path at FL290, FL210 and FL130 to get the FMC to calculate the correct TOD point. If not entered properly according to current winds conditions, VNAV may be rather useless. There are others but this is one very common reason for getting the des path unavailable message and a VNAV disconnect.
  18. Hi Brad,Congrats with your final 'Check to Line' and the move to the left seat:-). I wish you all the best for the future as a captain. Thanks for sharing your experience to us desktop pilots. Always very informative to read your comments and posts.
  19. Hi Mr/Mrs Unknown..Please take a look in the forum rules here in regards to signing your posts.AS for the WMKK charts, you can find some here: http://www.simnetair.com/Fabienne2003/section15.php . Be aware that these are very old so I don't know how they apply to todays procedures.
  20. HiI suggest that you contact support at updateme@precisionmanuals.com with your order info. They will then supply you with the needed download link.
  21. >Here is a link http://home.sw.rr.com/filesherenow/index.htmlNo sorry, this is the download link for the terminal procedures(Sid/Star/IAP) from Terry Yingling. As far as I know the Airac cycles can only be downloaded from Navdata. Remember that inside the zip there is an exe file, just doubleclick on it and run the program. Follow the on-screen instructions and set the destination directory to your Fs9 main folder.
  22. David, If you have as you say the latest procedures and airac 0502 you have a working set. Just tested them and they work fine for me. Both KIAD and KATL are OK with 0502. So there must be something else that cause your errors. Are you sure everything is installed to the correct folders?
  23. Thanks Chris for your hard worj and excellent contribution to the community. What a team you have there!!:-)
  24. FYI, there is now a procedure file available at Navdata for LFRN. It seems to be set up as Markus describes with all published transitions to the ILS28 approach.I haven't tried it yet, but it seems that the VORDME28 approach is not included though.
  25. Many thank's for your work :-)
