  1. Thanks to all for your help, all is well now! I'm pretty sure it was a scenery issue. Cheers, Pete
  2. Hello - I am at a complete loss here. I just did a complete resintall of P3dV4 and cannot get past the splash screen. The little wheel just keeps turning but never ends. I did watch a video where you remove a couple of folders and and deleted generated scenery, but that didn't work either. I have no idea how to proceed here. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Pete

    Captain Sim -12 Hour Sale

I may grab the 757 Captain III for FSX as for $12 may not be a bad way to try the plane out. I use almost exclusively P3dV4 but for $12 may be worth it. Cheers, Pete

    Airlines that no longer exist--interesting

Did anyone mention Southern Airways? I flew them to Florida from EWR when I was a small child. Also, I flew Kiwi International from Midway MDW to EWR a few times back in the 90's. Cheers, Pete

    First Solo...

My first solo was the year 2000 in a Piper Warrior at Schaumburg Regional Airport (06C) about 8 miles west of O'Hare. My instructor was getting angry at me because I wasn't having the prettiest landings, but after three good ones he set me free. This is for sure something I will never forget, and in fact, I found it easier to land alone than with the instructor inside. Cheers, Pete

    Good flying books recommendations?

Rod Michado's Private Pilot Handbook is great, I used it when I was training for my private pilot license. Cheers, Pete

    QW787 P3Dv4 - first impressions?

How did you fix the Air Canada dupicate livery issue? I had the same problem. BTW, I love the plane, looks great, sounds great, easy to fly. Cheers, Pete
  10. Thanks I will look into this later when is get back from work. Cheers, Pete
  11. Hello - I was making a few minor changes to my FSX-SE and Prepar3d V4 installs and I think I screwed something up bad. My Scenery Config Editor now indicates 48 error files ("path does not exist). Half of the error files are various Orbx FTX files and then some other addons like some Aerosoft airports. I am concerned that I will need to do a complete reisintall which would certainly drive me to drink more than I already do. FYI, I don't get any errors upon booting up P3d V4, just in the Scenery Conifg Editor. If anyone has any idea as to how to rectify I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance! Pete

FTX Regions, do I need anything else ?

Thanks Martin, I will probably take a pass as KSAN doesn't require SoCal as long as global base is installed. Cheers, Pete

FTX Regions, do I need anything else ?

I know this has been asked before but can't seem to find the most recent answer right now: Should I expect a substantial performance hit from either Norcal or Socal? I already have global base and and just picked up KSAN. Also, I have a bunch of other non-orbx airports such as FSDT, etc. I assume they all play well together with these regions? Thanks in advance and apologize for the hijack. Cheers, Pete

    Orbx 48% off most items

I did, and I actually have the Aerosoft version (it's quite old) but wasn't really considering that as completion. The one I was referring to is the Justsim version which is much more recent. I have no doubt that Orbx one is the best but can't quite tell how it compares to Justsim. Judging from the reviews I may just get it because the reviews are making it seem that perhaps it's too good to pass up. Cheers, Pete
