  1. They're only digging themselves a large hole with those not mature enough to understand the intent of their post: to provide us with an idea of what's going on.Are we allowed to be disappointed if they don't live up to their estimates? Sure. Should we get annoyed and whine about it? No. We are not shareholders, or owners, or anything, related to this project. It comes out when it comes out. Their gift to us is this information, and I don't think people see it like that. They see it like quarterly statements from a company you own shares in. They owe us nothing, but they're giving us something.Stop looking a gift horse in the mouth...
    I think scandinavian13 is Robert (RSR).... :( :( :Hug:Couldn't resist it Kyle...Love your signature :(
  2. I have a propose. Maybe it is too much but is an idea i had. What if PMDG tell us witch issues are left and how they affect the simulation in a general way and then make a poll to choose between wait until they get fixed or release it as it is and then they can work on a SP without all the pressure they are getting now.We, after buy shouldn't complain because we already know that the software its coming with some issues that are going to be fixed. Of course this last part would be impossible cause there is always some to complain about something.mmm... I think i just answer my own question Big%20Grin.gif
    sounds like a plan..... :(
  3. Like any other forum I propose to stick a poll :How do rate PMDG customer relationship dept. and marketing dept ? 1 ) Poor, I don't like to be snobbed this way since a year2 ) Below Average, must do better....lol 3 ) Goergeous, those PMDG guys are ready for the Nobel prizeMark Fosseth Sorry Mark but I change mine a bit :( --
  4. Guys,I don't usually voice my opinions on these forums but this is really how I feel about this whole project...This project is GREAT! PMDG, you guys ARE going to make FS History with all this amazing technology you are putting into this fabulous plane! And we all really cannot wait to use it all and start flying it! But most importantly fly it so we can appreciate all your hardworkLast December, most of us recieved the manual packs which are awesome! I myself have never done this for an aircraft of this quality and its great to have an asset (Is that the right word to use?) such as the manuals sitting in my room! And my panel posters on my wall!I will say it again, We Really Really Really DO Appreciate ALL of the hardwork you are putting into this plane! Seriously!!But, As I think someone earlier said... There comes a point where we need to draw the line and get this thing released. Im not here to stamp my feet down whine and scream at why this plane is still not released but, we've been waiting a very long time now, and companies, like yourself and other bigger worldwide companies, have a point where the line needs to be drawn!I will say it again, We Do Appreciate ALL Of the hardwork that EVERY SINGLE Member of the Tech. and Development team have put into this! But I think, and it's/this (is) my own personal opinion, a line has to be drawn, and move on!You guys are THE BEST Flight Simulator Development Group Ever!! And I'm a HUGE, Massive fan of you guys and I will continue to buy your products because every aspect of your company is great! We know that you guys want to release this bug-less but, it's fine if there is just a small few bugs that are seriously minor...That is what Service Packs are for... Sort of like an Annual check on a plane, it goes flying, comes in for its service, for example, One of the radios is faulty (or even less minor than that!), so it gets changed, in effect its going in for a service, exactly like a car, and the part is changed and back out it goes again for lots more flying!Just a line needs to be drawn and the smallest of fixes can be brought in via the service packs AFTER the aircraft has been released. Whilst those Service packs are being compiled, you enjoy lots and lots of great reviews (Because I Know its going to be the best aircraft for FSX, EVER!!), but more importantly, Profit! Because you ARE Selling the product! So, I'm not here to stamp my feet and whine and scream as to why the aircraft hasn't been released but I think it will help the community, the project and importantly the company, PMDG to draw a line under these bugs and move onto Wide Beta!To all the team, I do appreciate you taking the time to read this and I hope this makes sense :)Best Wishes to all the Team,Tristan Marchent
TristanMy hat off to you.. What a great constructive post I could'nt agree more with you.. Well done mate (hope your enjoying your manuals) :( :(
  5. Well people interpret things in different ways, so many of the above statements are pure opinion. I think most have been civil throughout the many delays in development of the NGX , most understand the issues in the process. This forum consists of users from all over the world with varying cultures and ages, so there is no right or wrong way for users of this forum to interpret the information they are given about a proposed product and they can and should express freely if they wish.
I'll agree with that Simon. :(
  6. I think the whole thing should be scraped. It sounds like Vapourware to me. Nobody can make a perfect product. Perfection is a fleeting illusion that can never be attained. Sounds like PMDG has a more serious problem with this product than they are willing to admit.Sam Hayes
I do think they should draw a line in the sand when it comes to perfection. Would I be worried that the VNAV is descending 100ft quicker than it should or LNAV is 1/4 mile out when doing a procedure turn..NO because I'm a simmer not a commercial Pilot (though I do have a PPL). I would be more than pleased if its 99% right and wait for a service pack :( Its just all the false starts that we get that is getting my back up :( Also while I'm on yet another RANT and I make no apologies for it(before the a really excited user get started) why can't they release a full list(not Pics) of liveries, Specifications, pricing if the product is SO NEAR?, the competition has their 737 out for a while now. So no need to hide her anymore........ RANT OVER
  7. Holy dust storm Batman!!! Fill us in Tabs! How was the haboob last night in PHX? Do REX or any of the other FS environment add-ons allow for haboobs? That would be awsome to fly into one coming down for an ILS to minimums!Hiram Hunt
Ahh a Dust storm , I wondered what a haboob was... don't have many of those in Northern Ireland :(
  8. You're complaining that PMDG is blowing smoke, and your proposed solution, is for them to blow smoke. There's no sense in that. If you're happy with them overestimating the release date by months, why can't you be happy knowing it will be released "eventually"? Just estimate the release date for yourself. Or I'll do it for you... I have it on good authority that the NGX will be released in 45 months. There, do you feel better now? You know exactly when it will be released and can rest easy. You're welcome,Scott Johnston
I have it on good authority that the NGX will be released in 45 months... Do you work for PMDG... :( :(
  9. I don't understand what is so wrong with him asking? He isn't demanding for a release date or anything crazy; if PMDG doesn't feel comfortable responding then they won't... it is that simple. But hopefully they do respond, with good newsBig%20Grin.gif!But, I could be taking the image the wrong way... so disregard if I am....
Wallace thanks for your support, I was only asking a question most members are thinking :( Thank god I have a thick skin, it's just bounces of me :( Yep I hope we get a positive response
We decided to further debug and clean up descent VNAV and some things with LNAV turn prediction before going wide-beta. I'm not going to tell you it's going to be any specific date or timeframe now - we'll do it when we and the tech team think it's ready.
    Thanks Ryan
  10. You need to ask :( Sorry don't mean to cheeky but the question I'm asking is from Tabs post a few days ago saying that they were waiting for a new build and hoping to push it out on Sunday night though he said no promises, I understand that but just wanted to know what's going on :(

  11. Erm no vodcack.. I'm not.Speaking of constructive posts you must be ranking in the top 5 for total cods bollox on here.
Gee Whizz Mousey, sorry themose I thought I was NUMBER ONE :( Well your posts speak for themselves .. one word QUALITY :( :(
  12. Sorry, i mean "a day off". It's nice sometimes to not work and forget everything.I know that is busy time for them right know, but as i am a developer i and i like what i do.. and some times we dont have a choice but to work (i worked even on sundays...) i like it more when i can enjoy the rewards of my work (read: Salary on a not working day--Big%20Grin.gif)Joe, i think you're partially right...but for me my personal life come first... I always see it this way: I work to live.. and not live for work. But maybe that why i don't have a business of my own
    no problem :( :(
  13. I think they deserves to enjoy their hollyday with their family
Of course they do but when your in business like I am you don't usually have the pleasure to have public holidays, business comes first or you don't have one!By the way guys.. Happy 4th :(
