  1. Hi Chris, I don't know the cause, but a reinstall fixed it for me. Regards, Diego
  2. Question - Why the Quadro? And if you are going the Quadro, the 1000W PSU is way overkill! You can quite easily run that on a corsair 650w PSU.. I Have used a quadro as a desktop extension (multiple monitors) card along side an ATi Radeon gaming card, but not as a dedicated gaming card.... Regards, Diego
  3. I Must have had a brain fart one week... I went out and bought the following very regretfull add ons.. Just Flight DC6B Just Flight 800XP BizJet Just Flight 800XP BizJet Livery Pack Just Flight Embraer Phenom 100 (Not that bad actually but I still regret buying it) Just Flight Viscount (I really wanted this to be good.. what a let down.) Captain Sim 777 - Shocking!!! Captain Sim 737 200 & 100 & 200ADV & 200C/F :fool: ( I must admit I do enjoy flying circuits in the 732 - It's all she is good for!) Diego
  4. Hi VB, Where can I get this freeware? I love the 742! Diego
  5. Luke, I've been having the same issues. I also have the HIGHMEMFIX in my cfg file. I'ver managed to reduce this issue by removing the latest nvidia beta drivers. I've also noted it seems to happen when I forget to boost my fans when running fsx, which means I'm running a hotter everything! NOTE: Reduced, not eliminated the issue! Regards, Diego
  6. Both the C90 and C340 are great. I recently got back into the Cheyenne, and I can't believe I put her aside for so long. I find that the Carenado B200 FDE is very "stiff" and "rigid" - Not very dynamic and has a huge lack of feel to it (it could just be because I'm no big fan of LCDs in cockpits and that may add some kind of personal negative feel to it). Another old add-on I recently reinstalled was her baby sister - the FSD Navajo Panther. Another great addon that I'm enjoying but getting very very old now. Also, the Milviz B350 will be both Digital and Analog! :yahoo: Diego.
  7. I have to admit that the XP Lear20 was not an add on that attracted me at first until I had a go at it on a mates sim. I too felt the graphics were (are) below what is expected of developers today. But, what attracted me the most was the FDE. It has given me an immersion level I have not felt with any other add on (and that includes the PMDG greats). Since this thread was put up, I have dug a little into the textures of the XP Lear, and I am looking at improving them (inside and out). I have done some minor tweaks on the exterior - and she looks fab! Diego
  8. +1 I love the Lear20 package! The graphics are not great in the VC, and even worse on the exterior, the autopilot is horrible but..... She has to be the only bird out there (besides the Milviz C310) that actually flies like a real plane! The dutch roll is one of the least simulated characteristics in our add-ons and this little girl has lots of it! And it's what gives her soo much character! I can't stop flying it! Can't really comment on the flying characteristics of the airliners as I've never flown them, except for a couple of hours on a full motion 744 (and the PMDG is pretty darn GREAT!) Diego
  9. I'm not sure if it is a GPU issue, if it was I would assume you would get similar rendering problems with your scenery too? Someone else may know the exact cause of it, but... * How about start by checking the GPU temps. * Try removing all tweaks? Let fsx recreate the fsx.cfg file (backing up the current one ofcourse!) * Maybe setting your GPU settings to default... Diego.
  10. I had this same problem 2 days ago after trying out TileProxy. I ended up deleting my FSX.cfg and letting FSX rebuild it. My problems also included my menu disappearing, my external models going transparent, and sometimes only a wheel or a wing disappearing... Very strange.... Diego
  11. +1 I have the same case. I run my 2600K at 4.8GHz now, and with a H100i and this case my temps never run above 70c. My mobo sits in the 30-34c range. There is plenty of room in the case... Asrock z77 OC Formula i7 2600K @ 4.8GHz (second hand off eBay :He He: ) ASUS GTX580 Corsair H100i OCZ Vector 256GB SSD 3x 1GB WD Blacks Patriot Viper 32GB DDR3 2133MHz Waiting on new PSU - Corsair AX1200  **Edit - Made a typo on the temp. I wish my CPU never went over 60c :Drooling:
  12. For a $7 bag of candy for your eyes you can't really go wrong.... A purchased this when it came out and became extremely frustrated with the FDE very quickly. Haven't used it since.
  13. 1. Alfa Romeo 8C 2. Any Maserati 3. 64 Chevy Impala 4. My old 2004 Alfa Romeo GT v6 5. My old 1999 Alfa Romeo GTV v6 All of the above in white! Diego
  14. +1 I love the islander. Incredibly slow, but incredibly immersive!
  15. Nice set up and nice looking case too. The only thing I would change is the PSU to a Corsair HX750, or atleast a HX650. The HX series are able to maintain a more stable voltage when overclocking. Diego.
  16. Could it be that you are getting 2 different beep codes? (highly unlikely but you never know...) Say : 1x 8 short beep code (video, floppy) 1x 1 Long & 2 short beep code (mobo issue) Also, This may sound like a silly question, but have you installed a floppy drive? If so remove it. it could be the controller. You say you have tried different connectors on the PSU, but have you tried a different PSU, or have you tried the current PSU on a different mobo? I'm also interested in the outcome. Good Luck with it! Diego.
  17. 2004 - YSBK - Started flying in when an hr in a Traumahawk was $89... 2007 - YSBK - Stopped flying after losing my job. Twins were still relatively cheap (BE76 @ 245p/h dual airswitch), and had roughly 135hrs TT and 40ME 2009 - YSCN - Back into flying - Had to do a bi-annual review and decided to do a Seneca endorsement while at it (PA34 II @ 400p/h dual rate), a week later I did a P68 Endo, same price as the Seneca. By this time a 172, or Archer was around $250p/h wet on tacho and it just got way too expensive to keep current mainly as I wanted twin time. 2012 - YSCN - Looked at prices - PA34/PN68 - $430 solo and $470 dual.... Add fuel surcharge, landing fees and all the other crap CASA throws in and a 3hr x-country will cost around $2,000.... 2013 - Saving money to fly 2 months non-stop in the USA in 2014!! There has been plenty of personal hardships endured, many opportunities in other fields, and other aspects of life not taken because I wanted to fly.... It's a hard road but I will do what it takes to achieve a life long dream!
  18. Well..... It was the Australia Day long weekend....
  19. vdubbin, The comments about China vs USA's quality in general, not just aviation is what I was commenting on. Yes GM does own Holden, GM also ownes OPEL, yet OPEL is miles ahead of Holden and GM in quality. The pontiac was built here in Australia and shipped over to the USA. The quality we get here is exactly what you get in the US.... Crap! I had one lol  Some state over there purchased a whole lot of Holden Caprice as trooper cars so they still do like them over there... If they have stepped up their game, it's about time! The 300c doesn't even have IRS! I guess I'm just tired of hearing US this US that. We are the world! America does quantity not quality. The reason why American manufacturers are moving their plants back to the USA and South America, is because the cost of manufacturing in China has increased. The cost of labour in China has increased. I can assure you that these large American corporations will look into South America before North America.... B)
