  1. If you could run the 73x, the LDS will give you no trouble at all. Systems wise, it's definitely up there at the top of the list as far as advanced functionality. Go for it, you will not be sorry, it's an excellent package. I'm sure others will say much the same. Jay EklundCAT VI Senior Captain KDENhttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/812321/764.png
  2. WSSS has big problems as well.Jay EklundCAT VI Senior Captain KDENhttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/812321/764.png
  3. Once you make your turn to 068 from SMO, the star states that you can expect radar vectors for final approach course. If you are not using ATC at all, you could certainly enter in DENAY, MERCE or JETSA as legs yourself if you were going for 24R.Jay EklundCAT VI Senior Captain KDENhttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/812321/764.png
  4. Did you trip the Fuel cutoff switches on the throttle?Jay EklundCAT VI Senior Captain KDENhttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/812321/764.png
  5. Guys the FMC problems you're describing have been with us for quite a long time, Mine too crashes when entering airways or using the list function. However, I've found that if you just enter your waypoints manually, it should alleviate your crashes. It did for me.Jay EklundCAT VI Senior Captain KDENhttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/812321/764.png
  6. I also just built a new 4400 based system and I too am very impressed with it's performance across the board, and I haven't even put the stirrups to it yet. Thought I'd make sure it's completly stable before I start tweaking. I have all my sliders either maxed or close to it, fps locked at 30 and for the most part it stays there and looks great. When I get into some real heavy scenery, it'll droop to 14'sh but that's still pretty smooth, expecially when my old 2.8 would buckle at the knees trying to display that scenery.Roughly speaking 4400 $4902G corsair twinx PC3500 $300Asus A8N-SLI $1507800GT $370'sh Don't quote me as it's been several weeks since I purchased, the vast majority of it through newegg. 7. I also experienced many of the same issues posted here and have gone back to the 78.01 so I can actually fly. 81.98's did nothing for me except cause trouble. Keep working on it NVidia.Jay EklundCAT VI Senior Captain KDENhttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/812321/764.png
  8. Lookin good guys, looking forward to this "must have to really function" util.Jay EklundCAT VI Senior Captain KDENhttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/812321/764.png
  9. Just about any of the newer drives these days are fine and in what little research I did found them all pretty much equal in most respects. Want to go crazy fast?, get a pair of WD Raptor's. Myself, I just bought a 74G Raptor(system) and a WD2500KS for Games and data. Jay EklundCAT VI Senior Captain KDENhttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/812321/764.png
  10. Yep that worked, I must have rt clicking on the wrong spot. My bad. Thanks,Jay EklundCAT VI Senior Captain KDENhttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/812321/764.png
  11. Hello Gentlemen, While not really a bug by any means, I've found that the EICAS control would sure be cool if it could be windowed and therefore repositioned on my second monitor. Having it cover the ALT selector on the MCP has kind of bugged me from day one. Any chance of that option in a future update? 12. FeelThere is talking up their upcoming 737PIC package, I would expect it to be pretty good. Not sure about an ETA though.Jay EklundCAT VI Senior Captain KDENhttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/812321/764.png
  13. Perfect, Used the .cfg posted here and all is good again. Thanks for the extra effort Jeremy. Now if we can just talk Norman into touching it one more time to get the readme right. Won't be long before this thread gets buried and your fix will require a treasure hunt in order to be found. Better to nip this one in the bud and be done with it rather than add to anyones frustration level in the future.Jay EklundCAT VI Senior Captain KDENhttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/812321/764.png
  14. Hey Guys, Great info. I just purchased a new 7800GT as part of my new puter (AMD 4400 Dual core). Which driver would you suggest I go with for FS given the reported issues with the 8x.xx set? Jay EklundCAT VI Senior Captain KDENhttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/812321/764.png
  15. Thanks Norm and Jeremy, Both your efforts are appreciated. Looking forward to flying the old colors. Will re'DL tonight and try again. Jay EklundCAT VI Senior Captain KDENhttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/812321/764.png
  16. I really appreciate all the work some of the painters have put in already but there are some issues that I think will ultimately have to be dealt with by PSS if we as end users don't want to get saddled with it. My first issue concerns the UAL repaints specifically. I purchased the PSS UAL livery, installs, works and looks great. It created a texture.ual folder. No problem. Now there are 2 additional UAL repaints up there and guess what, they also want/need a texture.ual folder. Houston we have a problem. I have unsuccessfully tried just changing the folder name and the corresponding texture entry in the aircraft.cfg with no success. The plane shows up as an entry but the preview doesnt' work and it will not load with an initialization failure. I addition there are entries that place it in the 300ER category but yet is a 200LR. The Lauda paint, well, it just doesn't show up at all. Installation instructions were included but I feel they must be overlooking something. In addition some of the paints have a .ini within the texture folder itself. Does it serve a purpose? Is there already or will someone please test these prior to posting to make sure there are no known conflicts and that the config files, folders and necessary files are all there and correct? Or am I just being a moron for not knowing how to fix these as is and being able to work it out myself? Jay EklundCAT VI Senior Captain KDENhttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/812321/764.png
  17. Sorry, only the 747 and 767. Jay EklundCAT VI Senior Captain KDENhttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/812321/764.png
  18. James, Not much but there is a daily LHR-DEN using a 777.Jay EklundCAT VI Senior Captain KDENhttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/812321/764.png
  19. It's been awhile since I've looked at it but if I recall correctly it didn't really work well with anything other than the default planes in FS. Is that still the case and has anyone tested it on a PMDG or LDS wagon?Jay EklundCAT VI Senior Captain KDENhttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/812321/764.png
  20. I suspect that since you've updated your navdata, that is why that flight plan no longer works. Didn't the 47 ship with 0413 or something quite old like that?Build your plan manually and I bet it works. Jay EklundCAT VI Senior Captain KDENhttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/812321/764.png
  21. Yes they are, You should visit the LDS forum for current information.Jay EklundCAT VI Senior Captain KDENhttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/812321/764.png
  22. Half the fun of the preflight is successfully progamming the FMC. Jay EklundCAT VI Captain KDENhttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/812321/764.png
  23. A 50% fuel load is still roughly 80,000 lbs or more on a -300? You're undoubtedly over max landing weight, try landing with about 15000 lbs and see how it behaves. All the speeds for the different flight modes you've mentioned are ALL dependent on weights and conditions. Just thinking off the top of my head though, on a fully loaded -300 with 15K fuel left, your landing speed should be around 135-140'sh or so. 24. As far as I know there was no business as no product was ever released. It has been very cold there for a long time, now possibly moving on to cold and dark pardon the pun. I do hope they get it together though, I would've grabbed myself a quadrant for sure, well almost for sure.Jay EklundCAT VI Captain KDENhttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/812321/764.png
