With the release a few days ago of UK2000's version of Guernsey in the Channel Islands comes the sad news that no more new airports will be made by them for FS9.  I was rather hoping that Bournemouth and Southampton airports would be made for FS9 as I was so looking forward to them.

However, Soarfly at https://www.soarflyconcepts.com/ are reported to be making an FS9 version of Southampton for release sometime this year and they have two lovely other airfields for us - Alderney, in the Channel Islands, and Sandown, in the Isle of Wight.  Soarfly are worth taking a look at.

There seems to be a high-class freeware Bristol too: https://www.soarflyconcepts.com/bristol

Apologies if that already was mentioned in the thread.

If you are interested in having a look at progress on my CYWG Winnipeg Canada project follow the link.  You might be interested in a few other FS9 projects by another developer:  CYYC Calgary HTKJ Kilimanjaro International Airport ; HTDA Julius Nyerere International Dar-es-salaam International Airport.

Stunning! Obviously a lot of dedication involved to get the airport modelled to this standard which is easily among the top payware offerings!

ARMI PROJECT's  MUSCAT INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT OOMS was released yesterday for FS9.  Nice to see ARMI PROJECT continuing to support FS9.

Looks very nice indeed. And at €19something also quite reasonably priced! Thanks for the HU.

  4. Greg just gave us another beautiful Hawaii scenery over at flight:

FS2004 Scenery--PHJH Kapalua - West Maui, Hawaii (HI), USA. Kapalua airport (ICAO: PHJH—IATA: JHM—FAA:JHM) is located on the west side of the Hawaiian island of Maui. It serves Lahaina, and the resort communities of Kaanapali, Napili-Honokowai and Kapalua. This scenery includes a detailed model of Kapalua airport, the rooftop Hyatt Regency Resort helipad, approximately 170 square kilometers of West Maui terrain including extensive autogen buildings and trees, as well as numerous models of real-world resorts and hotels on a 12 km strip along the coast of West Maui. Thanks everyone for those kind words.  I really hope you enjoy the scenery.  And Harald, thanks for the AES request.  You did that for CYQR and it was a tremendous enhancement. I don't know if a small airport like this has ever received the AES treatment but it would be nice to get an aircraft ramp marshaller into the scenery.  I gave up trying to make one myself.   And, I want to publicly acknowledge Ian for test flying the airport for me before it was uploaded to the library.  Sorry I blew it with the crash boxes!

    Cheers,

    Greg

Great job! Thank you so much!

  7. Is this update available yet?  I have your 2015 version, where will I find the update when it is available?

Hi, you will find the update (and all previous updates) using your original link. There is a section Updates there, and this update is found under the August 2016 weekend link.

    Best,

    Sascha

Where are you flying to see the heavily forested areas?

I tried a few spots in North Central USA, and Ontario, where I though I'd see that kind of coverage, but did not see it?

    Thanks!

    Neil

Neil, the results will depend on the landclass you use. EVo works well with UT. I try to augment UT with as much freeware landclass as possible. Using a good mesh helps, I still use FSWorld (I think thats what its called) for global coverage plus a mix of freeware mesh.

    Best,

    Sascha

Overall, it's really starting to come together

Good to hear, looking forward to your pictures.

  8. Howdy Ses,

"Have you thought of coming to the nVidia side of things?"

Ha! Next system build   Hopefully within the next year.

    Best,

    Neil

I can only second that, ever since I have an Nvidia I have no problems with my flight simming :fool:

  9. Hi Neil,

I just checked the Reshade installation and it seems to install its own version of d3d9.dll, which is also needed by SweetFx and enbseries. Maybe this interferes with SweetFx? I recommend installing only SweetFx to see if that is the case. The SweetFx lumasharpen function produces the best texture crispness I know off, and I never have any problems with texture blurries either using SweetFx, even together with enbseries.
