I am not sure if this is exactly the same problem you're having but when my aircraft is loaded and on the runway,if I change the time the same thing happens.The only fix is to change to windowed mode first then change the time and then return to full screen mode afterwards.Regards Jim

For the last couple of weeks I have been getting the following message upon asv 6.5 startup, never had it before and the weather seems to load fine,just wondered whats causing it?."AS has updated your fs wx station list file.Please restart fs so new stations can be accessed appropriately."regards Jim

I put off getting fsx until about a month ago when I caved in and tried it. I love the photo scenery,I also no longer get 'squares' over oceans.But...the performance for me is just too poor compared to fs9 with all my addons even with a reasonably powerful pc so I have shelved it.I am now enjoying fs9 even more, now that know that I am not really missing anything, except the above mentioned items of course.regards Jim

JD ,as you suggested I downloaded fsuipc v4.30 without registering and it now works,I assume the fsuipc version that came with rc4.3 when I bought it from you 14 months ago intended for fs9 is incompatible with fsx sp2, would that be correct?, I'd be interested to know.thanks again for your helpregards Jim

I do not have a registered version of fsuipc.I assume I do not have to purchase a registered version of fsuipc just to operate rc4.3??,is that correct?regards Jim

JD,I have reinstalled rc 4.3 again and at the end of the re-install I get a screen with the rc version 4.3, the fsuipc version 4.070, and H/key/install path details with the following error message which may possibly be the problem??. "your fsx installation is not suitable for this version of fsuipc you may need to install an update from microsoft"I have fsx with sp1 and sp2.I assume it was ok to re-use the key you sent last week?As you can probably tell I am a little out of my depth with this.thanks for helpingregards Jim

Hi I installed rc4.3(disc) into fsx last week and got the key from you and all was well.I had to reinstall fsx today and using the same key again reinstalled rc4.3 also.But on starting rc4.3 after calling up the flightplan and clicking 'start rc' I get the message 'IPC request contains bad data,retry/cancel' and after trying different flightplans still no joy. Any ideas ?regards Jim

hi I thought I'd have a change from fs9 and installed fsx + sp1 for the first time today and I must say I was impressed.I then installed sp2 (not acceleration)and the problems began.After sp2 I noticed the following ,apologies for the unscientific descriptions:1.)The textures surrounding the rwy(KSEA)are black for 2-3 seconds each time after loading.2.)When airborne the ground texture tiles around the aircraft 'bend' into place instead of snapping into place and the textures are very unstable.Frame rates drop also.I uninstalled sp2 and all was well again .I tried a couple of times installing /uninstalling sp2 and each time it was installed the problem returned.Unfortunately I need sp2 as some addons require it e.g Kaitak I believe which I can't do without,otherwise I would stick with sp1 only.I have searched but not got anywhere and if anyone knows a cure I would be very gratefulEDIT: XP Home, 7950 gt 512,2gb ram,e6850 core 2regards Jim

I had a similar problem recently after installing the v1.2 747 update.It installed airac 0802(I think) over airac 0609 , and a lot of airports then showed 'not in database'.So I re-downloadeed airac 0609 from navdata (go to fms data then at bottom of page airac 0609 PMDG demo)and all is well .You may need to download some individual airports still missing (get these from the sid/star link at navdata and dated around about september 2006).If you already knew all this then my apologies .regards Jim

I have just read a few posts on this subject and tried a few things but without success .Also,I note that in the fmcwp folder the navdata files are showing 0802 not the 0608 that I used to have,so has this new navdata written out my previous vhhx ?.I am not too competent with airacs etc so apologies for sounding thick...regards JimEDIT: ok got it sorted ,phew....

Hi I installed update 1.2 for the fs9 747-400 and have lost vhhx airport in the fmc,'not in database'.I use airac 0608.In blind panic I performed a system restore in xp but on starting the sim the 747 hung during loading of the airac and I got the 'fs9 has encountered a problem' etc message .So I then undid the system restoration previously performed and the aircraft loaded as normal but obviously still showing 'not in database' for vhhx.Does the update change something in the airac which could have caused this? ,or is there a simple solution I could try to get vhhx back into the fmc.any help gratefully receivedregards Jim

That brings back memories!I owned the predecessor to the Blade back in the late 80's called Mainair 'alpha' also in bright yellow.I nearly killed myself more than once and I remember being generally terrified at all times flying it!!Glad I took up the sim instead, a trifle more relaxing......regards Jim

OK all is now well funny though ,I tried the min9 max8 fix yesterday using both google and yahoo but it did'nt help,today it loads everytime with the fix and yahoo,now to fly.regards Jim

Umm... I may have been a bit hasty saying all is well. After a successful KSEA flight I shut down/rebooted the pc and restarted tileproxy/fs9/yahoo at KLAX this time.Unfortunately the tiles surrounding the aircraft are black ,fine in the distance but black tiles follow/surround me continually .I rebooted again and tried various airfields including KSEA (which was ok before) but again black tiles surround the aircraft continually ,but fine in the distance.I have read the manual and searched but can't find the answer...I would be grateful if you could point me in the right direction as this Tileproxy has become instantly addictive.regards Jim

Thank you for the help.I decided to try Beta 7 again in fs9 but it did not like Googles KSEA. I assume the default photo scenery clashed with Google as it was all black tiles around the airport and surrounding area,further out was visible.Anyway I used Yahoo this time at Ksea and all was well and no Captcha problems during loading either .Thanks again.regards Jim

Hi I have a problem with Beta 6/ fs9/ google maps service 2 .This is my first attempt at using tileproxy and the results are fantastic.However when I shut down and later restart the sim at any location without starting tileproxy, some photo textures/grey channels are still embedded in the outer edges only of the tiles as seen using ctrl+s.The only way I can remove the texture corruptions is to uninstall tileproxy altogether although I suspect there is a much easier way...Any ideas how to cure this?, sorry no screenshots thats my next task.regards Jim

I have never found it either!,in my fs9 installation holds are not covered in any of the documents.If I remember correctly I got around it by using my Lvld 767 manual which covers the subject and is (I believe ?) very similar to the 747 fmc.regards Jim

Hi I have just noticed that all the default vc panel/cockpit lights are inoperative.Addon aircraft seem mostly ok except Milton Shupes Beechcraft D18S which had a functioning vc panel switch before and DM Bac 1-11 which had two settings on the o/head vc panel but now just fixed in the on position.I have let it rebuild a new .cfg, but no change.Key assignment is correct shift+L which operates the 2D cockpit fine.The most recent change I have made was to install and uninstall the TU 154m a couple of days ago ,possibly connected?Can anyone suggest where else to look for the culprit.Any help would be much appreciated.regards Jim

Kim I don't know if this will help as it involves a little money...I had the exact same problem especially at Kaitak 9 Dragons, the 6-7 frames I was getting in vc with the pmdg 747 ,nil traffic,nil weather was driving me mad especially as I was seeing screenshots showing 20-21 frames at the checkerboard.My spec was similar to yours,p4 3.4/2gb/7950 gt.I decided to get an immediate upgrade to a dual core e6850 and motherboard,same card and memory.The difference is nothing short of astounding in my case,I'm now getting 22-24 locked 24 in vc with pmdg747, 9dragons on approach and all the way through to touchdown, AND with all slders maxed ,50% woai traffic,asv6.5 with clouds.I only wish I had upgraded long before.regards Jim

Hi I expect you've already tried this but just in case....A while back I had the exact same problem .After a lot of expense/effort it turned out to be overheating which removing the side panel instantly cured,and I now leave it permanently open. regards Jim
