Glad you got it sorted! I feel obligated to inform you that it's "bizarre" rather than "bazaar" unless you consider your computer a market of some sort. -stefan

Strange crash with vc and sceneries with fsx still running
shortspecialbus replied to Nigge's topic in PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu
Are you using the HIGHMEM fix? -stefan -
Ryan please keep us posted on this - you seem to know what you're doing on this. I'm especially interested in the vsync aspects. Thanks! -stefan

I still think this has to do with the air temperature not being correct. -stefan

It's possible the OAT was unreasonably high - I don't even know if this is possible but were you running FSINN with P3D? -stefan

FSX/P3D SCENERIES: compatibility questions and issues
shortspecialbus replied to David Roch's topic in The Prepar3d Forum
Anyone have any luck with any of the US Cities X? Also Manhattan X? -stefan -
So far, I'm pretty pleased. It seems that locking fps in the simulator rather than externally via driver or that java program gives me more stable FPS. Water looks great without the huge FPS hit. Once orbx does their airports, I'm probably done for good with FSX. -stefan

I'll send you one now.-stefan

The "runaway" autopilot setting happens to me from time to time. It can cause some interesting issues as it wraps around to insane numbers. Just be quick with "Cancel Last Command" if he goes haywire. The only way I've been able to get a checklist to start over is with "Let's start that over" or something along those lines - it's one of the ones in the manual. I couldn't get the others to work but I have the green bar turned off (causing massive stuttering) so I don't know if it was just mishearing me or what.-stefanQuick edit: Overall it's still absolutely great. I am one of the few who seem to keep having bad luck with a few of the minor bugs, but even with that, there's no reason to not get it now.

GSX actually doesn't operate the jetway itself. It reminds you to do so yourself in fact. It also doesn't control the doors, but instead prompts you to do so. I'm not sure how AES works or how FS2Crew works with either.-stefan

I believe you have to do the jetway yourself. Doors seem to be hit or miss with me - they close the cargo door but often leave the main cabin door open. But not always. It may have something to do with GSX for me, I don't know.-stefan

I have a CH Throttle Quadrant but I think you could do a similar thing with the Saitek one.In FSUIPC I have the leftmost lever set to spoiler and configured via the FSUIPC Axis Calibration. The 2 levers to the right of that are set to Throttle1 and Throttle2 respectively in FSUPIC, and they are NOT calibrated in the FSUPIC Axis Calibration (That appears to be what causes issues with the NGX.) The 2 levers on the far right I have set to the individual reversers, reversed, so that they pull back from the forwardmost position. I don't have a flap axis configured anymore as I use FS2Crew and my FO deals with flaps. On the rare occasion I need to mess with them, I use a switch on the CH Yoke.Joystick control is turned off in FSX. I find that with profiles, this gives me the best results without making me have to mess with other aircraft that I've already set up.-stefanI have a CH Throttle Quadrant but I think you could do a similar thing with the Saitek one.In FSUIPC I have the leftmost lever set to spoiler and configured via the FSUIPC Axis Calibration. The emergency escape slides must be "armed" in order to deploy. In their disarmed state, they won't be able to deploy when needed. This is a safety feature as a deploying slide could seriously injure ground crew, not to mention an accidental deployment of a slide costs about $10k to repack.-stefanThe emergency escape slides must be "armed" in order to deploy. Make sure the FO isn't in one of his flows when you click it.-stefan

I haven't had this issue and I use EFB as well as AS2012.-stefan

You can use the arrows to jump wherever you need to go. It should be able to pick up wherever.-stefan

Bryan lives in Australia or something, I would imagine he is sleeping. I think they're trying to get all known issues resolved and tested before they release the SP.-stefan

That comes from your shares on your main FS computer. You have it set to require a login that's different than the login on your client computer (the one you're running AS2012 on.)Try changing the share on the host to allow read/write from the account you're logged onto on your client computer.-stefan

I'll try that and report back. As mentioned, anything that uses the green bar does it - it's undoubtedly not fs2crew related.-stefan

It stutters like crazy for me, nvidia 295.something. It's not limited to fs2crew, AS2012 and GSX both cause the same crazy stuttering.-stefan
