  1. Probably best to review your knowledge on IP rights. The copyright owner can choose to assert or not assert the right. just because the modder isn’t commercially benefiting is of no concern. Can you use a Beatles song in your innocent cat video you upload to YouTube? Give it a try. one can mod whatever for their own personal use but if the IP owner asserts his/her rights, one cannot publish it on .to. Sorry.
  2. What’s wrong with PMDG enforcing their IP rights? Besides, modder can ask for their permission. the usual kast of karacters never fail to chime in on creepy personal dev bashing, as on cue.
  3. thank you Jean-Luc and Matthieu for the toolkit, VR is great on mfs. just tried DCS with the openxr + toolkit and seems to be stable and runs good so far.
  4. see https://forum.pmdg.com/forum/main-forum/general-discussion-news-and-announcements/179486-landing-gear-retraction-and-extension?p=184223#post184223 on-release is the key. mouse to flip to off works fine.
  5. ah geeze, all this crying and moralizing and finally egg on faces...
  6. Wow, how much time did it take to write all that? never understood the singular obsession with or grievance against a flight sim dev, seems rather creepy and unhealthy. I guess once autopilot is engaged, it’s boredom or back to avsim for gossip and venting. If devs can build an EFB with an avsim forum app, perfect for keeping an eye on fuel consumption while settling scores against devs that “drop the ball.”
  7. so i watch real 737 and a320 driver's yt vids on flying the pmdg737 and hear how they like the model and focus on fly from point a to point b, and then come over to avsim and it's all nitpicking and pontificating on what pmdg should have done this or that about the efb or the textures. with the near-simultaneous release of the maddog, 737, and a320, you'd think this is the golden age of tubeliner sim on such a revolutionary platform, but no, in typical avsim fashion it's about RSR this or that or outrage on the (forthcoming) efb.
  8. Fenix thread and obsessively whining about the maddog price? Maddog is a perfectly good model and not expensive. $80 or $60 basically the same price. Even for those with euro tax a drop in the bucket. So embarrassing.
  9. closer means increasing the 1st number a bit. something like 44.1 would move eyes 20mm forward.
  10. runs well. default camera view is too high. edit cameras.cfg to lower the z-height: eyepoint = 43.92074, -1.623061, 3.5755627
  11. little heavier than 737 and maddog but runs well, very nice. as VR user, the default eye position is too high (adjust camera.cfg to bring it down a bit, eyepoint = 43.92074, -1.623061, 3.5755627 ) and seats in vc are placed in the 'super high' position so looks odd looking down at them in VR. this is like flying the old fsl buses in a sim that looks 100x better with 10x smoother gfx. a definite winner.
  12. nice work. however, best to first check with the dev if distributing vc textures would be allowed. livery textures can be distributed but some devs don't like other texture mods floating around without permission.
  13. FBW is providing an excellent free product to everyone, is this comment really necessary?
  14. if 75euro (=3 carenado units) is a lot of money, gotta consider another hobby.
  15. flying around in smooth full visual glory of mfs vs. stuttering, autogen popping world? 1 mfs maddog = 3 x carenados. suspect many wouldn't blink an eye at carenados at $30 a pop, lol.
  16. looks fine in VR. no ghosting. wear and tear look like baked in reflections so not an issue either. baked in ambient occlusion may be overdone in spots but rather have it than not as mfs' ambient occlusion is expensive and also doesn't look quite natural. also, analog gauges can be cleaned up a little. the maddog is now rightfully in the appropriate sim platform--no more bleak autogen world of fsx and p3d with its stuttering, bad lighting, and weird clouds. did a maddog autoland and it worked well from loc and gs captures down to autothrottle cutting off at touchdown. best so far in mfs. all-in-all, an excellent model of the md-82.
  17. yes, there are 'ready for takeoff' and c&d and such, same as before.
  18. seems some are shooting from the hip with instant hot opinions here. then others get the wrong impression and get scared away.
  19. dl from here https://www.flythemaddog.com/forum/index.php?/forum/110-fs2020-repaints-for-the-liveries-manager-tool/
  20. Spent past weekend deleting p3dv5 and all the $$$ addons (fsl, pmdg, maddog, active sky, orbx, so on) to free up nvm space. Ready for the mfs maddog and 737. maddog is going to be great.
  21. never had issue with lagging mouse here. su8 fixed rain/snow in VC while in VR. all working good so far.
  22. that''s odd, last time i checked flyinside's bell47 is a helicopter and is on sale in mktplace...
