Thank you- you nailed it. Much appreciated!!! No I did not remove the default scenery. . I just removed it and it works perfectly. I tough these installs did it automatically. For those who do not know how to delete default scenery, look at this video

Look at these 2 photos after installing ORBX KSEA from BMWorls/AMSim. It seems the 2 control towers merged into one and the runway markings are corrupt. Any Advice. BMWorld/AMSim has no forum to ask. ORBX forum won't post my requests!!

Well I never flew a plane in real life. I have 1000’s of Boeing takeoffs and landings on a really good home set up. I have done many sessions in a full motion LevelD sim on 737, 747 767, and 777. I start out each 2 hour session simple and then do difficult approaches like JFK 13L or LGA expressway 31. Or ILS approach in really bad weather. 200 ft ceilings, 1/4 mile visibility and 15 kit crosswind I pretty much stuck every landing pretty good. The only time I crashed is when the dopey instructor gave me severe wind sheer as I crossed the threshold. So yes, give me a Boeing and I have a high chance to land it. Oh, all my approaches were hand flown, no autothrottles or autopilot. At $500 per hour, I’m hand flying this puppy.

OK Bert: Thanks so much for your guidance. I got it working. My mistake was creating a new folder in my community folder. The added lights do indeed make a big difference. I just flew the approach in real weather (rain and fog) and the lights were a huge help. Thanks again for your assistance

A little help needed. I downloaded the file. I created a new folder in my community folder JFK LIGHTS and I extracted the download file in that folder. But the lights don't show up. I think I am missing a step?? Please help. I am not too computer savvy.

Polo: Thanks for your reply; A few questions for you if you don't mind: 1. works as expected? does that mean good? excellent? any description. 2. If I download the file. do I just extract anywhere in my community folder. I never messed with that folder.

The best NYC approach to fly is the Parkway visual 13L. You really need to follow the lead in lights on this one but MSFS and any addon scenery has them missing. Even the Enhanced Hight scenery. I guess "Silence Is Not Golden" when you are trying to see when your favorite airport add ons are due out. I am waiting from KSEA KTPA KDTW KPHX FlyTampa has gone completely quiet in anything due out. Drz Des made no mention of KSEA. I actually bought KTPA from from VerticalSim - should I have waited for FlyTampa?? I wish these companies would give a clue of what is next. n the end they lose business as I may do elsewhere.

Is it me? Or did the release of major airports addon payware come to a slow grind? From the Big 5, DrzDeigns, FlyTampa, FSDT, Flightbeam, LatinVFR there is NOTHING that really has been released recently. Their website/forums give no indication of what/when is next. For the North America, we really KSEA (DD), KPHX, KTPA (FT), St Marteen (FT). Is it also safe to say, if Asorbo maked a handvrafted scenery like KDFW, no one would attempt to make it?

Well you know it was not a mechanical error as plane continued the long flight afterword. I suspect it was an autopilot error by the pilot either not setting it correctly or setting if and not realizing it was indeed set to climb. With bad weather they didn’t immediately notice that were descending. They probable got a pull up warning

Taking a 757 from KSAn to KJFK we sat at the gate with all passengers on the plane for 15 minutes. Finally the pilot said a beverage cart was missing and that can throw off the weight and balance of the plane. Without the cart, we can’t take off. So we had to wait another 10 minutes until catering got another cart. Was this a BS excuse? I mean can 1 less cart throw off the balance of a 757-200?

I am wondering why if you are coming from the west or north you have to do the long loop to get to JFK RW 22L/ R. Yesterday I flew (passenger) from San Diego to KJFK. We approached JFK at 15,000 ft from the northwest, continued down the Jersey shore for 20 miles. headed east over the Atlantic, turned north over the Nassau County/Suffolk County border (south shore of Long Island. Flew 15 miles north to the north shore of Long Island, turned left and proceeded to ROSLY (which is in Roslyn Long Island) where we finally intercepted the 22L approach. That loop to 38 minutes!! I know we have traffic from KTEB,KLGA KEWR and Westchester, but can't ATC create a slot/corridor for north and east arrivals to intercept Rosly drect from the north at 2000 ft and save each plane a 1/2 hour ride. I know ATC uses the water off NJ/LI to gather the planes in a file and send them on a loop, but maybe use 22R for north/ and west arrivals and 22R for south and east arrivals?? Any clue what this is??

The Dreamscenery KJFK did not add in the 13L/13R lead in lights - even at nighttime. Disappointiing.

Ok thanks. I’ll stick with airports from DD first. I hope Microsoft resolves that nagging “Order Pending” error in Marketplace. When I hit the buy button, the confirm window pops up for a millisecond and disappears. thus I can’t buy it. I tried all the fixes and no luck. So I have been buying scenery from Fkytampa, FSDT and Flightbeem on the outside and they all self install nicely.

It seems I get errors using marketplace, so I am forced by buying scenery outside Marketplace. I want to add Drzeweski airports KDCA and KMDW along with Chicago, Seattle and Washington scenery. I am not computer savvy, does DD scenery self install? Also is addon Washington/Chicago and Seattle a needed upgrade or is default MSFS just as good.

My current monitor is a 60 Hertz 40"UHDTV. My question is, will upgrading to a 120 Hertz 40" TV really make a difference?? Will I really notice the difference between 60 Hertz and 120 Hertz? They go for $1,000.

With a top end computer, I expect > 60 fps. The problem is that it seems all 50" UHD TV's are listed at 60 Hertz. Only when I get to 55 inch the very same models jump to 120 Hertz. Why is 50" limited to 60 Hertz on the Samsungs? Samsung also has the "turbo" boost to 120HZ on their 60 Hertz models. Is that a scam that really wont help me? Also do I need to consider the fill rate of the TV as well in microseconds? If anyone can recommend a 120 Hertz 4K TV, let me know. I searched long and come up empty.

I have a Samsung 42" UHD TV for MSFS and P3D. Does it make a difference if I set the TV to 60 HZ or 120 hz. I heard if I set it to 60HZ, i'll only get 60 fps max -regardless of what the P3D/MSFS counter says. I am using the new n-vidia 4090card and a 13900K CPU.

I am curious. I am not a pilot by avid simmer. I was flying (real life as a passenger) from KCLT to JFK at FL330. I am always looking out the window. Looking as forward as I can see thru passenger window, I see a Jet Blue plane at same altitude - seemed to be level coming180 degrees. It passed parallel to us (opposite directions) same level at about 2000 ft away. I could easily read the "JETBLUE" letters on the plane. I thought planes use alternating altitudes. He was flying south - should he have been at FL320or FL340? What is the allowable horizontal separation allowed?

yes terrain and cloud shadows are off. I actually cranked up by settings to force a crash and still stable. I have CDU and EFB opened up on 2nd monitor and flying a PMDG 747 from KORD to KMEM with both airport as payware addons. Getting 30 fps. I turned down FPS unlimited to 40 fps limited- I wonder if that helps? I have GPU monitoring program that says my GPU is 83 dg C and does up to 97 deg C at times. I often wonder if it is a temperature issue as I never approach the 11 Gb limit. I mean, how does one know what is the condition that caused the error?

Ray, I appreciate your help. Per my Nvidia Control Panel, I see the game ready driver for my Titan X Pascal card is 512.59 which is the latest one available. Do I keep this driver?

I love the QW787 and think it is perfect to fly. Great FPS and very smooth. I say QW can hang with PMDG.

I see the pinned post on the XGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG crash. I am getting this crash every time since upgrading to P3DV5.3 - rarely had it in 5.2. I have an NdvidiaTitan X with 12 GB on it and I see I am only using 4-5 GB. The crash usually happens after I complete a flight and am the gate just sitting there, or on a 2nd flight shortly after takeoff but during level flights. All my flights are 1/2 to 1 hour long. I uploaded the latest drivers from Nvidia experience. My question is: 1. Did the fix reported here solve the problem - as it said temp fix. no one reported on this really since. Please tell me your feedback on its success. I do not have the know how to use those steps, butI canhire someone to do it for me. 2. I wonder what causes the crashes? any insight? I have plenty of VRAM free - but something will cause it to rash 100% if the time after say 1 hour f flying.

I will try to clear out shaders, but I'd need step by step on how to do so. Thanks
