  1. Even if you set a large deadzone in the "Spoiler Arm" position along the axis in FSUIPC, FSUIPC still polls the physical hardware axis position. So when the system detects strut compression and tire spin up, the Speed Brake will move to UP, FSUIPC will reread your Saitek lever and prevent it from moving and the sound will loop over and over. I have tried many ways as well to get it to deploy normally, and like you had to give up and just use good ol Shift+/... Sadly.
  2. Go to post image dot com, and attach you pic and dont resize or size to 1080p. Copy the "Link Thumbnail for forums" and post that link here.
  3. Can you throw this on an Ipad?
  4. Hey guys for Christmas, I got my first ever VR headset the Samsung Odyssey. Link: https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/hmd/windows-mixed-reality/xe800zaa-hc1us-xe800zaa-hc1us/ So far I have it installed and can navigate the Microsoft Cliff House, and see the large hangar in XP11. I also fly P3D v4.1 but have NOT been able to use VR there for whatever reason I am not sure as I only have about 3 days time in this. Couple questions somewhat related to simming and general use. I am not interested in the cartoony style VR shoot space ship games, however I would like to know is it possible to view local and internet content with this? Example, I have several in flight videos I have taken both in sim and real world and would be awesome to view this in the headset. Can the headset work with Chrome and view YouTube for example or other VR, HD, 4K Content? How does one do that? Is there something that can convert local video files into something the VR can use, and project duplicated images to each eye? XP11 does look great in the hangar for sure, but haven't been able to fly yet. I wonder why P3D wont show any signs of life in the headset, is it because this is not the Rift or Vive? Does P3D only work on those? Thanks again all for helping me understand all the new apps and programs to get this going. I am only searching the Microsoft Store for app, and Steam VR. If there are other locations let me know. I typed "Cool VR Videos" in YouTube and I see some with dual images concave to the eye but I don't think it displays right in the headset as I see boarders and each image somewhat out of sync to the other and nearly made me vomit. Thanks for any comments and information everyone.
  5. Looks like you have duplicate afcads for KLAS. The two Stratospheres and Wynn hotels.
  6. Whats the feedback on this, just ordered one? 3.5-inch dual AMOLED display provides realistic viewing at a 110-degree field of view, and 2880 x 1600 resolution. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-odyssey-mixed-reality-headset-with-controllers-for-compatible-windows-pcs/6156600.p?skuId=6156600
  7. Well going from 1080p to 4k, you have one thing in your favor here. You will be able to radically cut down AA. On 1080 you need a fair amount to smooth things out. At 4K you can half it of even more and still obtain razor clarity. In certain situations given what I said you could see an increase in FPS depending on weather and how many clouds are being rendered. If you have a 1080 it should be enough, however if you plan on keeping AA high or running UHD Clouds, or Texture_Size_Exp=9/10 you will consume all the VRAM on the 1080 and would require the Ti.
  8. Thinking about taking the plunge, is the Rift the way to go? I know 8K VR headsets are on the way soon, but Xmas is around the corner and this would be neat to have under the tree. What gear is best?
  9. Here's a full length movie (Not Air Emergency) of the Gimli Glider 767. Great rendition. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113018/
  10. Sorry meant the -8, and now I am getting. If you rewind about 3-4 years ago it was very challenging to incorporate full flight decks that ran off the PMDG platform. Most of my comments come from that timeframe so I am now being reminded of the advancement and project direction. I am very pleased to hear this and am even more eager to see what lies ahead. While companies like ProSim, PSX, Project Magenta are great. They all have their pros and cons, so it will be very nice to have PMDG software running with the flight model and systems logic.
  11. Hahaha! Yeah I must of just sputtered an area with no real recollection. KIAD seems like its ringing a bell now. Didn't realize it was the -800. Awesome, it'll be interesting to see what avionics suite (Maybe PSX?) and how the control cursor units work once this is all formalized. I've built and maintained a couple 737NG sims from FDS and Agronn in my past line of work so these kinds of things are right up my alley. Will Nat from Nat Vis be doing the visuals?
  12. Quick question for the PMDG staff. I recall about a year ago (or more) that PMDG announced a partnership with FDS and was planning a Sim Center featuring the 747-400. Is there any followup to this?
  13. Following this to see if Mr Spil replies hahaha...
  14. I've used 9 and 10. They are both great, my system can handle 10 all day. I ended up reverting though because even on my Samsung 960 Nvme drive the load times were EXCRUCIATINGLY slow... It wasn't worth the trade off. Yes it looked great but not that much better than default to wait almost 2-3 minutes or more to load. Yes Vram was 9.5 to 10gb but the card still had overhead.
  15. As soon as I saw Jet Tech reply, I ran to read the post. I wasn't disappointed lol. Nice work.
  16. Bump, man I'm surprised not many are chiming in. I think head bounce and bob in the sim is just as important as how the sim looks and sounds.
  17. Funny this came up, I have an email dating back to 2011 when I inquired about this. A follow-up in 2012, and again now after seeing your post. I hope it is still alive, my emails in 2011, and 2012 were replied to saying he needed one more month dev time in each reply lol.
  18. It is the file name from the vpapp website. If navigraph is tested and reported working we can forget about this. If it is still non functioning then that website is where you get the files to manual install.
