  1. No word about FPS in the changelog. The latest B1 was brilliant regarding performance.
  2. Understood, ResetXPDR. After all the work you did with these brilliant programs, your rest is more than well deserved. Our MSFS experience wouldn't be the same without either AutoFPS or DynamicLOD_ResetEdition. Thank you very much!
  3. What hardware do you have? Sceneries, probably would work in all P3D versions. Aircraft, I'm sure you'll need a new version of the Q400 feel anything between v4 and v6. Maybe V3 will work with your FSX license. I don't know about the PC-12, sorry. Your ATC would work. Active Sky, I'm not sure.
  4. These are good news. With @Cpt_Piett settings here (adapted for my 5600X, 3060 Ti and a 1080p monitor) and aiming for 60 FPS I could manage a bit of additional performance. But every FPS improvement in the plane is welcome 😁
  5. Ah, hahahaha, got it. In this case, it may help, at least for the challenge 😉
  6. Do you seriously need an almost 20-year old GPU? While 256 MB was the recommended spec for FSX, those specs were rather optimistic. With FS9, I endured with a 2GB 940MX (mobile, but already had 2 GB). I struggled to keep 30 FPS at all times, but that was because of my CPU (an i5-7200U). The last decent experience I had with a GPU was with a Radeon HD 4350. But that was so long ago, that I don't remember how did I fare. All I remember is that I was CPU limited. For FSX, in my experience, I recommend to use Prepar3D v3 requirements instead: https://www.prepar3d.com/product-overview/system-requirements/#prepar3d-v3 These are closer to reality. EDIT: I saw your other posts, and I see you intend to fly the iFly 737. I'm sure the X550 won't be enough for that. If you want some specs guidance, use the ones for the FS9 iFly 747 (the payware one). This is the heaviest plane I've ever seen for FS9, regarding FPS. You can find the specs here at the bottom of the page: https://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=ifly7442k4
  7. Thanks for confirming, Sierra Hotel. I have a couple of questions: - How did you set up displays in the Fenix app (alternate rendering/use CPU/display sync)? - And are those 40 FPS with the FG mod on? I get several stutters at 40 FPS...
  8. I think it's bettter to add a link or a screenshot than a 9-minute video: https://www.beyondatc.net/pricing After reading the headline, I was thinking "see? you were actually able to charge $30 instead of $60", but after reading all the changes, I'll just say "what an upgrade! 😄". If performance is at the same level as PF3 with the same AI traffic levels I usually have (70-100 planes, mostly static), I'm in. I had to ditch FSHud because of the high FPS impact for the little traffic it generated.
  9. Agree 😂 The problem is not getting over 30 FPS. The problem is that, in some scenarios, with B1 I could easily get over 30 FPS. Now, with B2, I can't.
  10. I did the AF trick in MSFS/NCP. I also set texture supersampling to 6x6 in MSFS. It helps even more. The rest of my settings are on High or Medium (depending on my mood). Actually, no: I found out last night that my computer was not using the High Performance power plan but Balanced. Now I'm checking again. Yes. See Noel's RTSS Front-Edge sync method: Very important: you'll want to adjust your FPS lock at will to keep smoothness at all times. Sometimes, you'll have no chance but to disable the lock. That's why it's so important to have the hotkeys defined in RTSS So, after all this discussion, how did you finally set up MSFS at 1080p? DX11, DLSS+DLAA+the custom scalings, TLOD=200, OLOD=100, AF=off and everything else in Ultra?
  11. Another thing that may help is this technique: At 3:22 the author says it all: each trim application should be "slightly longer than a (mouse) click".
  12. Specs in signature. For me there was a performance downgrade going from B1 to B2, keeping default settings in Fenix, with FG mod (locked at 60). With the previous version, I could do a traffic pattern at LVFR KMIA smoothly, something I can no longer do as of now. I tried turning Display Sync off, but I started getting a lag between any control I used, and it's effect on display (either selecting a new altitude, heading, or moving the thrust levers). BUT...somehow my power profile was changed from High Performance. I corrected this, but I didn't have enough time for checking. I'll try again tonight.
  13. No, it doesn't work at all. The only thing I've seen for making trim easier is this one: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/auto-trim-remove-tediousness-while-making-the-process-more-realistic/170942/55 That or having a dedicated encoder trim wheel.
  14. So, if I understood you correctly, you went back to DX11 with FG off and TAA, but set RS to 150%, right? Also, how do you manage the camera transitions (for example, switching from CPT view to overhead and back)? This is the only reason I need so high FPS and why I use FG. Anything less and it makes me dizzy. I have no issues with actual flying and low (30-34) FPS.
  15. Makes sense, you had already paid it for 😂. 2014 was just before my furious FS9 add-on purchasing days. Apart from that, your comment allowed me not to be ashamed of using a 2D panel again these days. Gotta rediscover some beauties I have (although for P3D).
  16. Too bad the price is comparable to the whole FSL A32x lineup (for which I also had to settle with 2D) 😂
  17. Maybe with the Dune update, those options got reset and that's why I'm no longer having this issue. Thank you!
  18. I had to park the B2. However, since I can't live without a 'bus, I reinstalled v1.5 (the latest B1). I could keep stable 60 FPS around LVFR KMIA , with 80 FSLTL planes and the FG mod.1% FPS were 58-60 FPS. I think I can do with that until B2 performance is fixed.
  19. Looks like I'm not the only one I've seen a harder FPS hit with B2 (compared with the latest B1) 😞
  20. We have a saying in Spanish: "el que espera, desespera" ("he who waits, despairs"). It perfectly fits your situation 😔
  21. It happens to me also. Sadly I couldn't find a solution. Try to check if there are any BBS specific effect files and try to edit them. Maybe a setting suitable for FSX and P3D4 is not good for v5. I'm sorry I can't give a better help, but I hope this works. EDIT: I see you were also thinking about tweaking some effects. Which ones? I don't know, but if you can make a dummy install for either FSX or P3D and see which effects got installed, that would be a start.
  22. As of now, just a couple of IAE V2500 😝 Sometimes I like to hear some rock and metal, after FL100, from my TV. But, since I moved to my new apartment, I seldom listen to music while simming: my TV is too far away (it used to be right next to my rig), and I don't want to sacrifice performance for a few tunes 😂
  23. Yep, I was wrong. I stand corrected: there DLSS in DX11 😁 It's strange you get better performance, while my settings are more conservative. These are my FSLTL settings: Max Active IFR Aircraft (0=disabled): 8 Max Active VFR Aircraft (0=disabled): 3 Additional Airline Parked Aircraft (0=disabled / 10=max): 8 (max of 70 aircraft per airport) Additional GA Parked Aircraft (0=disabled / 10=max): 8 (max of 20 aircraft per airport) Max Radius to Inject Airborne Aircraft (25-150km): 40 Max Radius to Inject Ground Aircraft (10-150km): 20 I use AutoLOD, and set a minimum TLOD of 70, which I use for ground and landing.
  24. I thought it was backwards. I'll check tonight. I hope I'm wrong. It's something you don't need 😉 I mean, since you have a 4060 Ti, you can enable the actual Frame Generation with no mods at all, as everyone with a RTX 40 Series. Those with RTX 30 Series or earlier didn't have any option until last December, that someone released a mod enabling FG. However, it comes with some artifacts that I'm willing to put up with. Which traffic and how many? With FSLTL and default enhanced EDDF, I rarely get 30. If I manage to do so, it's with a lot of stutters. You already saw we have the same resolution, RAM and CPU.
