Also, all the strobes on any given aircraft fire at the same time. This as opposed to a staggered blink. I remember there was a simple fix for this in FSX which I have long forgotten so can't try it in P3D. But am I correct to assume this is a P3D issue as you imply? I did not say he needed to, I said I do not use it and the reason is I use GTX World for P3D and the FTX global stuff is incompatible with it. Regions are fine though. C

I use Toposim as well as GEX World for P3D and UTX. Orbx Regions are fine but I stay away from their Global stuff, C

But it is very sparse, lonely and cold so If you are into that you'll love it, if not, be forewarned because the feeling really permeates through this extraordinary scenery.

But you'll be happier with 8GB VRAM...minimum. So will P3Dv4.

It's a matter of overall system balance and how much stuff you add-on in the sim. I have a 512MB M2 960 Pro for P3Dv4 and she sings. Looks good too, no blurriness or stutters to speak of. If you have the money and the proper motherboard, it has the speed.

Hi bpollock, Might want to reconsider. From a learning viewpoint, the built in tutorial as well as an excellent one from Frooglesim on YT has taught me plenty. I have been frustrated by all the others I've tried. Also the assistance from "DAVE" which is a built in aid is a great feature. Don't know your system specs but the new Aerosoft/Digital CRJ's are working just fine for me in P3Dv4 on Win10 x64 with Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable 14.0.24215.

Active Sky for P3D v4 works. Older versions for FSX will not. Depending on which older version you have you may get a discount/License conversion.

There's a cool utility out there called SuperTrafficBoard. Among many other things, it allows you to manage the percentage of AI traffic and it has just come out with a P3Dv4 version last week. It can be run on a second computer too if you want to network it.

I'm running P3Dv4 on a 512GB 960 Pro M.2 having moved over from a 512GB 850 Pro SATA and to human perception, you won't notice much difference. On diagnostic software you will. That said, loading time depends on how much you have installed and the capabilities of the PCIe / NVMe on your mother board as well. I'm quite pleased with the performance and I have a minimum of stutters as a result, which is noticeable.

Data location on an SSD is accessed equally. More important though is the amount of Data. I wouldn't load any SSD to more than 80% capacity. Or just get a third SSD or even better, if your motherboard allows, an NVMe.

Surprised to hear of your troubles. I've been doing business with simMarket since 2005 and have had no difficulties with downloading, installing or reinstalling. In fact I have found them to be very accommodating. On two occasions they have even bent the rules and issued credit when I found addons not up to snuff after purchase. Also they are much quicker with regards to posting updates than other vendors and even send you an email. Actually, simMarket is my go-to choice. As stated above, might have caught someone on a bad day. I would politely try again with detailed explanation of your situation.

Back to the OP's topic: The all new Toposim Mesh has impressed me. It has indeed become my mesh of choice. My P3Dv3 loads quickly now...no hang at 6% like with FSGlobal. The detail is unsurpassed and you have a developer who actively supports his forum and honors his past commitments (even though they were from a different company). Go to the Toposim web site and check it out for yourself. This is the sort of developer worthy of our support.
