Yes Keven that is exactly what I am doing. All working well now. I just need to decide on the layout I want for my controller for the B737. Thank you for explaining. William

Thanks Keven for being so fast to help.Yes you are right but I have the issue somewhat fixed just now (I hope). A friend had a look for me via team viewer and he recognised that the Jetmax Throttle was "spiking" or somehow over- riding the Xbox Game Controller- for example when I moved one of the axis controls we could see very briefly "Game Controllers for Windows" appearing on the ChasePlane GUI before being replaced by JetmaxThrottle. So he asked me to remove the Jetmax Throttle USB connection to the computer and then assign the axes to the required actions. This solved the problem. I then reattached my Jetmax Throttle USB. The Xbox controller works with the new axis assignments. However if I then go to "Preferences" and try to assign or change any axis, the ChasePlane GUI is again shows Jetmax Throttle and cannot be assigned in ChasePlane. So any time the Jetmax Throttle is attached it "takes over" in the ChasePlane GUI--this does not happen with any of the Xbox buttons. I hope I have explained this so that you can understand what is happening. William

Hi, New user of ChasePlane--love the capabilities of this programme. I have purchased an "Xbox Controller for Windows" controller. It tests perfectly OK in Win 10 device manager straight out of the box. When setting this up with ChasePlane all the buttons are easily assignable to views etc and are reported in the ChasePlane as "GameController for Windows" during assignment-- so no problems there. However all the Axis on the controller are reported as "Jetmax Throttle" in the ChasePlane assignment window and are unassignable. (I do have a Jetmax Throttle attached in my sim) I cannot detect any assignments for these axis in FSUIPC or in Options/Controls in P3Dv4 Indeed in P3DV4 Controls all Joystick inputs are disabled. In my home cockpit I have several Bodnar Boards connected along with a Yoke, Rudder pedals and Jetmax throttle. Most are assigned via ProSim 737 Avionics Suite and a few through FSUIPC. As an extra measure I then installed the "driver" recommended by the Controller manufacturers but the problem remains the same. Hoping it is some simple setting that needs changed.

Indeed it would be. Thank you for your further explanation which I have just come across today. Also thank you to Steve for his post. Pity.... the LevelD was a great aircraft simulation which I used many years ago before returning to Flight Simulation.

I will answer this query myself. Bought it, love it and yes it is well worth the purchase price!!

Hi, Does anyone here use ChasePlane with a Home Cockpit build? The obvious interior views are therefore not needed but are the much improved outside views worth the purchase price?
-
I have just come across my old CD Rom version of LevelD 767 300ER--for FS2004 (complete with manual and Proof of Purchase Certificate). Can this version be installed and updated to run in P3D v3.4? Thanks William

Just Flight said several months ago that they would release a P3Dv2 installer for their "Traffic 360" programme. But nothing has appeared yet.

Differences between PMDG and IFly NGX on P3D?
Holclo replied to Paulvanuf's topic in The Prepar3d Forum
Hmm a lot of differing opinions here Paul. Flight 1 still offer their 30 day refund with no questions asked so you should just give it a try. Like Gerard I now run the IFly Cockpit Builders Edition. William -
Differences between PMDG and IFly NGX on P3D?
Holclo replied to Paulvanuf's topic in The Prepar3d Forum
I have both versions for FSX and the IFly also for P3D, The IFly737NGX is much better than the PMDG version which I never fly now. Added to that is the most helpful and friendly support forums you will find within the Flightsim community. Any drivers that you may need to connect external hardware are also supplied free. Buy it, you will not be disappointed. No problem with frame rates for me. William -
Bert, Thanks for your continued interest. I had no problems during the flight but the ORBX scenery (UK and N. Ireland) was showing some abnormalities with some small areas appearing pale blue and pink. I actually took a screenie via print screen of this during the approach but forgot about it after the crash and shut down the computer before pasting it into "paint". This is all in P3Dv2.2. I have my settings quite low inP3D. I have reported this to my vendor (card is still under warranty) and await their response. My sim has run very well for many months and this has just started recently. William

Yes Kym I got the same message today. I have 2 monitors running off my GTX660 in an extended desktop configuration. Trying to get DSR running I have had many graphics card crashes - that is with driver 344.48. So although I would love to have DSR I have given up for now. William

It has stopped working again at 37degrees - had just finished loading. And now again at 34 degrees- just started the take off roll. This is getting more frequent. I had been previously completing 1 hour flights without problems and only the occasional crash. After moving up to the 344.11 driver things settled for a while but problems have returned today

I am running P3Dv2.2 in a 2PC setup. My main computer is an i5 4440@310GHz Haswell with 8GBRam single channel DDR3. My main outside view is on a 40"Samsung TV Res 1920*1080. The second PC runs the gauges of the IFly737NG My Graphics Card on the main computer is a 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660. My problem is that quite often the graphics card stops working and shuts down. (My in game settings are around Medium as described by Rob Ainscroft) The sim then stops working. I am using the 344.11 driver. Should this card not be capable of running P3Dv2.2 at reasonable settings using ORBX regions.? Do I have a failing card (it is still under warranty). Wiliam

I have the Sismo MCP and EFIS. They are great units. Plus the support from Sismo is really excellent. William

Thank you for the answers. @Dean - I don't have any AITraffic Programme yet . On my main flightsim computer now I do not have FSX installed. It is installed on my client computer in a 2 computer set up. I used WOAI in FSX. @Michael - sounds like I am going to have to use "workarounds" then. Its just a case of deciding which programme to buy. William
-
Are any of the various AI Traffic providers currently making native installers for P3DV2.2? I am aware there are several "workarounds" but I don't want to mess with my P3DV2.2 installation or use EMT. William

The IFly Cockpit Builders edition is just brilliant. The plane (planes actually) are as good if not better than there is available. They continue to add to it (always free) plus the fact their support is second to none. They have a wonderful friendly and helpful attitude to their customers. Go to their website and ask for info in the General Discussion section and they will quickly get back to you. Prosim is very good but getting expensive now. PMDG don't want to go this route. IFly CBE is very good - I've had them all. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. Bill

Joe, Thank you for your reply. I had to uninstall a version of squawkbox last night that I was adding. It was after this the warning message appeared. No sign of any addon scenery folder in my recycle bin (there is stuff there since last December!!). I guess i will just have to see if anything is missing as I fly. Thanks again Bill
